Yeeeeeah having read this this looks like a 'we really really wanted to do the things you guys wanted, we really did want to do Japan and all the cool stuff like city racing, but mean old Microsoft sabotaged everything.'

I'm more convinced that Mexico was chosen for 5 due to the large Xbox fanbase down there, to throw them a bone, and the UK was chosen for 4 because they wanted to have seasons as a gimmick and Playground wanted to use their own stomping grounds as a testbed for the concept.

I tried the Sesto Elemento FE, FXX-K, Pagani Huayra R and Pagani Huayra BE FE. All very high PI, but not easy to win those PR stunts.
The speed zone was fine in the Sesto Elemento, but the other two were more effort than I could be bothered with


P.S. I liked the Mexican village Event Lab this week. Some of those small dirt roads through the buildings were tiny and a lot of fun to thread....

My tuned FXX-K did all 3 PR Stunts. It took a few efforts but it did it.

Totally agree with you bud, the Playa Azul Event Lab is good this week.

For the S2 class speed trap and danger zone, I've used my handmade Forza Edition Ferrari SF90, which blew both of those away! Although for the Speed Zone, I used my Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 (stock) as it handles very well!

The PR Stunts this week are slightly more tricky than normal (although the jump is easy enough), but I've enjoyed that. Yes they took me a few goes each but for me that made it much more fun. Far better than the usual grab any car and complete fodder we usually get. If I can do them, and I play on automatic gears, anyone can.

In a world I don't know, are the words "Turbo" and "Rally" pornography?
Or is it a social problem that naturally aspirated engine supremacists are campaigning against turbo engines?
I think filtering is necessary, but it's ridiculous that words that are generic and not hateful or pornographic are being filtered.

It's Turbo mate. I fell foul of it a few months ago. I also found out a few days again that 'Mad' and '86' are also not allowed.

@Beebo The Trial isn't anywhere near the pain it was with the AI in FH4. The AI is easily beatable bud. As for your 'Teammates', well best of luck there.

It's equivalent to buying points with money, but you can get an extra 14 points with HW Expansions and Rally Expansions.
In particular, the Rally Expansion season championship is highly recommended because all events end in sprint races, so you can earn 5 points quickly and easily.

I got exactly 40 points in Rivals + All PR Stunts + All Season Championships + Photos + Treasures + Weekly Challenges + Event Labs + Rally Expansion championship.

The trial is quite easy these days, especially tuned ones.
Today's trial is A800 for the Maserati GT. Pick a tune off internet (one with good acceleration to get ahead of the AI and monkeys early) and you will be good.

The Trial AI is rather dumb these days, but still a challenge on many tracks (especially if you get slowed down while escaping the monkeys). But that adds charm. It's pretty much guaranteed to score a group win even if half the humans are useless, unless you get matched up with a group of total numpties.


P.S. During today's trial I had to answer the door on lap 1 of race 2. I was away for at least 30 seconds, during which my car was sitting against a wall. I came back and not only beat the slowest human, but also the slowest AI despite the AFK.

It is a good time, in more ways than one. You'll be able to do what we all wished we could've done - complete Rally Adventure in Lancia cars.

Of course there's nothing to stop us veterans running the DLC again but I don't think my enthusiasm for the game goes quite that far.

I'd like to say this is the real reason I haven't gotten round to doing the Rally DLC yet and not that I've been busy with summer things and haven't had time, but my nose would get longer if I did...

Although i had already decided to leave it till September when things were quieter, before the Stellantis announcement, so I think I can still use this...

I did some research on why "Turbo" is banned.
There was no Turbo in ADL's hate symbol database.
When I looked it up in Urban Dictionary, I found examples of using it for some illegal drugs and for discriminatory expressions against blacks, gays, and women.
The latter is probably why Microsoft banned Turbo, but I think this is a bit overkill.
I don't endorse hate or illegal drugs of any kind, but this would be like banning the word "shot" in fps because it's a cannabis trade jargon. Restrictions on common words are ridiculous in a game where the chances of the word being used in the proper sense are almost 100%.

I'm also going to struggle but I'm the total opposite. I often find the Trial to be the only genuinely fun thing on the playlist. Sure sometimes your teammates are idiots but that's kinda funny in its own way, and it was by far the most efficient point earner.

I guess the EventLabs have actually been alright lately and I haven't done as many that have horrible framerates on XB1, and the Rivals are easy enough I guess. Everything else is some combination of boring/tedious/annoying.

Restrictions on common words are ridiculous in a game where the chances of the word being used in the proper sense are almost 100%.

In Assetto Corsa on Xbox, "GT4" is a banned word when making lobby names.

Just Microsoft things.

It triggered even before entering Guanajuato. No need to drive to a specific part of each town. Maybe restart and try again.

This is the most Horizon Forza Horizon has been since the anniversary update. I'm gonna be thinking about cars all day, it's gonna be hard to focus on work... Can Friday evening be here already so I can play
