The answer is 0. Now we have it.

Not shocked with no FH6 at the XGS, all signs pointed to it.

Very interested to see what the rest of the year has in terms of support for FH5 now we know FH6 isn't coming this year.

All we know is;

• Modern Horizons coming in 2 ish weeks, features a highly requested car
• Series 36 features some sort of Coffee Shop Horizon Story or Collectible (or something else entirely)

The rest is up to guess work.

I'm hoping FH5 gets another update like Event Lab Island/Event Lab 2.0. Something where a bigger feature comes along with a feature overhaul. I know that's probably unlikely at this point but here's hoping.

This is about as much as we've ever really known about FH5 at any given moment, lol. Hell, I just looked into this myself, having not played FH4 at all--that game's live service ended with Series 37. We're already closing in on FH5's Series 36 next month. I think we're quite safe for while bud. We've got at least another 12 months of hooning around sunny Mexico yet I reckon.

FH5 is a Game Pass seller for MS still, it won't disappear until FH6 is out.

What difficulty were you on?

I ask because I was on Unbeatable AI and the scripting didn’t change all that much, it was still a close finish for me and I wasn’t exactly hanging about in terms of pace.

Turns out neither was the train as it shot past the big jump like it was cosplaying as a bullet train.

I've got some notion that this is the most likely result. FH6 won't be around until 2027 or 2028 at most.

So Update 9 for FM2023 was announced recently and it doesn't include the MC20; instead it's focused on LMPs. Assuming we're still getting the MC20 with Modern Horizons, either it's going to be a case of Horizon getting it first or it's a different car entirely.

I know this is a little off-topic, but seeing The Crew Motorfest get a Map Expansion and it actually be connected to the main map is very cool. Even if it isn't realistic, so to speak, it's still so cool that there is a brand new area you can drive to and explore all contained in one map, no fast travel needed.

I really hope for future Horizon games we see map expansions built into the main map - it would help alleviate the problems of the map becoming so stale after playing it for 2-3 years. Whilst also improving the experience in a number of other ways.

If we did get lucky and got a free little expansion or just another paid for one I'd like it to the north of the map. That could give us some southern USA border towns or just a Mexico City style expansion. Give us some proper city/large town roads to mess about on.

Or just remake the first FH (Colorado, USA) and add it as an expansion. Just mind though, you have to outrun the "Migra" (U.S. Border Patrol) by using a secret tunnel just north of the railway!

I still hope that with next Horizon they rerelease previous maps with seasons. Paywalled maps are cancer.

I think, in FH's case, it's because they know the expansions always offer unique biomes that otherwise just don't fit on the base game map. Motorfest, like Burnout Paradise and Most Wanted 2012, for instance, knows what it wants to be and just adds a part of the map that still meshes with the base map while simultaneously being its own experience. FH has never really done this outside of maybe Fortune Island; the Rally Adventure expansion just adds badlands that don't really exist anywhere that makes sense, the crossover expansions are so unique they may as well be entirely separate games, and Blizzard Mountain, hoo boy would you not be able to sneak that into Australia. Hot take, they should've set that game in New Zealand instead.

This is probably why we'll never get an Expansion 3, even an urban setting, 'cause... what else could you really do with Mexico as a place?

You're talking about Motorfest trial right? It meant you can play the full game for free up to 5 hours. Then you have to pay the full price for the game. So yeah it is "free" 5 hours trial for all players.

The map expansion is free for all players. The game itself can be played for 5 hours as a free trial / demo before purchasing the game.

The latter gets mentioned a lot in all of their promotional materials, presumably it's working well as a way to attract new players hence pushing it so hard.

Sound prediction! The ID Buzz would probably be my pick for 'Obligatory EV in the Playlist' if the update turns out to be a Volkswagen Group marketing partner update, if only for the sheer 'here's another SUV to make a cuh-razy Cross Country build out of!' audacity, but it'd definitely fit as the only 'new-to-Forza' addition in a pack of FM2023 port-backs like I'm starting to suspect we're getting in the DLC. Not convinced about the Rubicon, though, I think we're past adding Jeeps.
