Okay. I think I'm ready to make my formal prediction for Modern Horizons.
We know we're getting the 2025 Ioniq 5 N. This honestly came out of left field for me as someone who was expecting an all-Stellantis update because, well, chances of MC20 felt pretty high with this one. But once I saw the teaser message in my inbox, it hit me; Modern Horizons is a title with a double meaning. The Series might be celebrating what we have today, but the cars they'll be adding will be looking to the future, both in terms of environmental sustainability (which FH has been pushing as of late) and performance. With that in mind, I'm sticking with a 'The Future of Automotive Excellence' theme for the Playlist. This will focus heavily on EVs and PHEVs; every car in the playlist will either be an EV or an ICE car combined with a plugin electric motor to enhance performance.
That means the highly requested car will be a Lamborghini Revuelto, as much as it pains me to say it. The MC20 may appear in the Car Pack if we get one, but it doesn't have any hybrid motors so it's not exactly Playlist material this time.
With that in mind, though, I think the Revuelto, as well as being the series headline car, will be a Series reward rather than a Playlist car. It wouldn't be unusual and I have a feeling a car like that will be something PG will want us to work for instead of just handing it to us like they did with the Tsuru.
I'm predicting 20 point cars with this one. I doubt we're getting any more 40 point car week Series for the rest of the live service but we've been wrong before.
Series Rewards: 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto (80 points), 2010 Nissan Tsuru (Hard-to-Find, 160 points)
Summer: 2024 Bentley Flying Spur (20 points--found in files), 2022 BMW i4 (Hard-to-Find, 40 points)
Autumn: 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N (20 points, already-known), 2020 #20 MG6 XPower (40 points--because the i30 N was too soon to throw back in, but I'd be glad to be wrong)
Winter: 2024 Maserati GranTurismo Folgore (20 points--to make up for no MC20 in the Playlist), 2019 RAESR Tachyon Speed (Hard-to-Find, 40 points)
Spring: Obscure PHEV car that I can't think of at the moment, 2022 Hummer EV Pickup (Hard-to-Find, 40 points)
As for the Car Pack... I'm going to go so far as to suggest this is where the MC20 will show up, if we get it at all, but I'm also thinking we'll be getting some portbacks from FM2023.
Modern Horizons Car Pack (this assumes four cars in the pack, but if we're getting FM2023 portbacks this could be bigger)
2020 Maserati MC20 (could also be the 2022 MC20 Cielo for maximum style points)
2023 Hennessey Venom 1200 (already leaked)
2022 McMultry Spierling (FM2023 portback, could be Obligatory EV for the car pack)
2020 Audi R8 Performance (FM2023 portback, basically the prerequisite 'sidegrade' car of the pack)
