^ Don't mind the lego car. I'm sure it's just there for display.
I want to be excited for The Crew Motorfest but the fact that this game will be DRM restrictive will be a major turnoff for me. I dislike games that require a constant internet connection to play a game.
That is exactly why I am not getting that game and never gotten the game before it.

I don't mind constant internet connections, but the problem with TC is that AFK kickout timers are very short, and that kickout happens in every situation.
Yes, AFK in multiplayer is a nuisance and should be kicked out.
But would it be a nuisance to other players to take a 15 minute break from the game for dinner while I spent hours in the livery editor and creating a complex livery for my car?

I love the TC series, but it's not a very pleasant experience to play while worrying about this timer.

Well, I haven't played this game in quite a few months and I have been catching up with it. Outside of the annoying FOMO nonsense with the update cars, there's still fun to be had with this game. I do like the rally routes added in the expansion along with the Focus Rally Car. (once again, haven't played in literally months, didn't even pay attention much to the news regarding expansion packs).

Though I'm really saddened that this is the only actual rally car added in this expansion pack. Would've loved to see more Gr.A rally cars from this era instead of having to settle for making replicas out of road cars.

On the other hand, I do like that the festivals are including challenges like this. Honestly would rather if the entire festival sessions were just event lab than the same preset challenges they give tbh.

Someone on YT found a system called Backstage Pass in the files like in FH4. Apparently it would allow to get one-use items to obtain a car from a list that would grow after being voted on for one or another by the community.

I'd miss the AI to race against. Time trials get kinda boring after a while by themselves.
True on that, but I didn't mean just have custom event labs as time trials. I mean also full-on race events in these event labs using more custom-made tracks.

----
(also no longer having certain cars being winnable through 1-week challenges only, actually make them single-player prize cars)

One of the problems with the FH4 backstage pass was that it could only be replaced once per model, eventually rendering it useless.
They've deterioration the Forzathon Shop to a similar spec, so the backstage pass probably won't get the improvements I want.
But, it would be nice if they could at least relax the restriction to something more lenient, such as "only one of the same model is available in a month, but it will be available again in the following month".

Honestly I just really miss when they'd throw a past exclusive into the forzathon shop, something they did in FH4. Alternatively, they could make past playlists available at all times so you can select one of them to play and collect the rewards.

They've also stopped adding cars to the FH4 backstage pass, so there are quite a few exclusive cars I want (on the account where I fairly recently started again from scratch due to buying it on Steam) that there's no way to get other than just waiting for them to come around as playlist rewards again.

Sure it'd be nice but I'm guessing they only do time trials in EventLab playlist events because AI taxes the resources of lower spec machines.

Crazy that the Evo III is still high up on that list. I remember being high in the request lists back in the FM4 days.

So about this list:

-I don't understand why anyone would want a Tsuru, which itself is just a B13 Sentra sold in Mexico. Many of them are worn out and ratted and would be nigh-impossible to find.

-The SLR is a lost cause, unless if both Mercedes and McLaren would negotiate a deal. Yet they're in other games too.

-What on earth is a Yangwang? We don't even know this brand and this is the first time I hear about this.

The Tsuru is requested because they’re basically part of the scenery of Mexico. While the game would have you think it’s just Beetl- sorry, Vochos, Tsurus are abundant over there and the game doesn’t have much in the way of Mexican specific car culture representation, which past games always did well.

Don’t get me wrong, a base Tsuru seems like a wasted opportunity since they could get a B13 Sentra SE-R which would be a bit more useful as a stock performer and add Tsuru bumpers as parts or something, but I wouldn’t mind seeing either.

I believe if they really wanted, they could make the SLR happen, but I guess it’s just a question of is it worth the money and effort.

As for the Yangwang U9, it’s an electric supercar from China, and I have no idea why it has so many votes since it’s pretty generic.

There’s also the Yangwang U8 further down the list in the forums, it’s an SUV that looks quite weird, and I also don’t get why it’s requested.

I would vouch for that but the game has always reused the same few cars like the MK.III Transit (post facelift), Fiesta, Legacy and Galant. And the Beetle isn't even a Mexican model, it's the reused model dating all the way back to FM4.

Why not go back to square one and make unlicensed models instead? Because these cars don't carry over from game to game just like any licensed product. Making unlicensed models is cheaper than just chucking in Fiestas and UK-spec Transits. We have our own Transit, a 4th-gen model to be exact.

The traffic scenery of Mexico is riddled with inaccuracy, and it's only a tiny portion of the problems the game has with its location. Why no Versa, or one of those Nissan vans? Specifically, something like this:
1693248300484.png

Which were used as taxis, and this one was captured via Google Streetview in Tijuana.

FH6 needs upgraded AI cars, and none of them will be licensed in any way, and that depends on where it will be set. It's a shame because back in 2012, Forza Horizon had plenty of licensed traffic cars which we'll never see again. A GMC Yukon, Ford F-350, a Chevy Express, even a E100 Toyota Corolla. Yes they had an older Corolla in that game.

If we want new AI cars to come forward they'd have to be unlicensed and altered. Like the asset in question can't have any badges or any trademarked designs.

And a few points shy of the top 40, I was shocked to find the 675LT as the top McLaren yet, beating out the newer Artura, even though it’s effectively been replaced by the 7xx models. Moreso I’m shocked there aren’t any McLarens in the top 40 at all (if the SLR doesn’t count).

FH6 will 100% be moving towards a world filled with drivatars than traffic ai. They will just repurpose existing playable licensed "normal" cars that suit the region. Since all Drivatars do in the world, are drive around the player, it is pretty simple to do with the increased CPU speeds on the new consoles.

Remember that in the current FH games, a Drivatar only tracks one car near it, whether racing or just free roaming. Once that same system is capable of, say, tracking 4-5 cars, their behaviour as traffic cars will be much more natural. Current non drivatar ai traffic are essentially just physics objects that move along a designated path.

As for the licensed cars, it will depend on whether it can be used for future games/FM. They will not bother scanning and licensing simple traffic cars that people will drive once and never touch again. The wuling has barely any use, despite its quirky bodykit, and the big engine swap. You can say the same about the MG3, 4L, any Morris, X class, 205 etc...

They have the 600LT and 765LT, so I guess they decided to not bother with the one in between.
The Artura is more interesting than some due to the electric aspect (like the 296GTB) but I don't think it really stands out much. I'd swap the 650S or 720S spider for one though :D

Damn you Toyota Celica 1974
Damn you all to hell!

...

Will be rejoining the Festival in FH5...
Now I'm recovered from festival R(eading)23.
Apparently my body can't dance on and off for the best part of 10 hours anymore without repercussions the next day
