Aside from the obviously better headlight textures on the Soarer, the models themselves are pretty similar. Still think the Vertex kit on the SC300 is better, but that's just me.

There’s also a hidden widebody kit and two wing options that aren’t used in the game currently

Must be licensing as usual. Assets from FM4 but not licensed for FH5?

The Soarer is a new model, the SC300 is the one that dates back to FM4. A lot of recent new-to-Forza cars have had bodykit parts modelled but not made available, which is surely intentional at this point. Whether they're planning an update to add them or it's something more crazy like they're licensed for FH6, I don't know.

I kind of like the styling of the F80, minus the black stripe protruding from the hood. And yeah, it will most likely be reserved for a potential FH6 far down the line, as well as FM8 as no one would expect a recently-introduced car to come to a game right away.
Well, really depends if any game developer is close enough to Ferrari to secure early rights to it. Forza sort of accomplished that with Porsche & Ford in that the manufacturers unveiled their cars alongside the games' debuts, so we immediately knew that FM6 & FM7 would have them. Lamborghini also did it recently with the Temerario, where the day after (I believe) its official announcement, they immediately shared that it would be available in a partnership with Roblox of all things. There are probably other examples out there; I'm sure Gran Turismo has accomplished this with at least 1 or 2 cars themselves.

Of course, Ferrari is the most brand concious manufacturer ever, so who knows what requirements they'd want for a developer to try & push for a simultaneously release alongside their newest crown jewel.

This is a Daily Challenge PSA, pointing out that the 'highest point in Mexico' is considered to be right here on the map. I used an Extreme E to get up here, the darn things are surprisingly good climbers.

Also, on an unrelated note, screw that weekly PR Stunt in the Hot Wheels expansion. Y'all know how much I don't like challenges that essentially force you to upgrade but even with what I thought would be a top-tier S1 build for that Danger Sign I found myself needing to tune my Hoonigan 911's racing transmission for acceleration to clear the target they set. Not fun. D:
I upgraded the Donut Media Drift Car with AWD and as much power as possible for the HW PR stunt.

My mistake! I'll have to edit my post for clarification, I didn't want to block the mountain itself with player info so I moved the cursor out of the way.
Absolutely no problem and I'm sorry if it sounded like I was blaming you rather than my own dumbness. Anyone who visits the volcano should be able to work out that ridge is the highest spot around, so thank you for your public service.

I thought it was the circle as well...
I think that makes us...

I've logged on tonight and been gifted a Ferrari 599 by the developers. Anyone else got this?
This is a gift from the devs because they accidentally put the 599XX into the Backstage Pass voting instead of the 599 GTO (the 599XX was added to the autoshow months ago, the 599 GTO is still hard to find).

They fixed the voting to be the 599 GTO and gave us the 599XX as compensation.

Ah right, that makes sense. Cheers for explaining bud.👍👍

Gee... thanks developers, did you know we in Mexico have to pay a tax for owning a car? And that such tax is calculated on the list value of the car? So, I already own 500+ cars, and you dump this billionaire's toy on me??? :banghead::D

I mean, how do you even make such a stupid mistake in the first place... the quality control is shocking at times.

Is it rude to suggest it’s probably younger staff who aren’t as invested in cars and didn’t spot the difference? I’d imagine PG are flat out on Fable now, meaning stuff like the update rollouts and so on are now probably being handled by a skeleton crew where they occasionally mismanage it. The unintentionally lower priced car pack from a few months back is another example.

Talking of quality control. I really wish they would fix the bug on Super 7 cards that start at the main festival drag strip start line.

I'm so tired of waiting for the car to stop bouncing off the Armco every time a card starts.

Formal Mid-Series prediction time! I know tomorrow is roughly when I'd usually start thinking about this, but a brainwave hit me and I had to get it out there. I was originally thinking this update could take one of three paths--either a European Track Toy update with the 993 GT3 RS, the McLaren Senna GTR and the KTM XBow GT-XR, a Track Day Vibe update with performance-oriented cars like the M4 GTS already in-game, like the Saleen 302 Black Label, the BMW M5 Competition and the Elantra N, or just straight-up 'here's a historical Trans-Am update' like @pez2k and @L8 Apex suggested--but now I think the path they'll take is sort of a mix between 'em.

The Track Day Vibe
Series Reward
: DeBerti C10 Slayer (if a Series Reward is in the cards)
Summer: 2020s Saleen S302 Black Label (Because PG undoubtedly has ties with Saleen through their partnership with Ford--this sort of Mustang would be perfect to tie in with Mustang Month. Alternatively, if PG hates us, this could be the Hennessey Venom 1200 but I doubt that.)
Autumn: 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (993) (The stars will need to align on this one but I think this would be the best update for it. If the C10 Slayer isn't our headline car, then this absolutely would be.)
Winter: DeBerti C10 Slayer OR BMW M5 Competition OR 2019 McLaren Senna GTR, if C10 Slayer is Series reward (I usually don't trust slips of the tongue--look at the Hennessey Venom 1200 being "leaked", we haven't gotten that yet--but if the Slayer is going to a new owner then it'd be up to them to give the go-ahead to put the car in FH5. If they do then this would be one of the stars of the show, an out-and-out drift car. If not that, or the Slayer goes up to Series Reward territory, then I figured I'd throw in predictions from the rough lists I had before, depending on which way PG would lean--either Track Toys or Track Day Vibe. I'm leaning towards the Track Day Vibe side of things personally, but we'll have to see.)
Spring: Either 2022 Hyundai Elantra N OR 2023 KTM XBow GT-XR (Again, this would depend on which way PG leans. If they want the Track Day Vibe they go with the Elantra N, but if they want Track Toys they'll bring in the XBow.)

We already have the KTM X-Bow GT2. The GT-XR is highly similar, just the road version with less aero. I don't expect to see it, since it would need a complete new model but wouldn't give the feeling of getting a complete new model (low value for money on the modelling front).

The DeBerti C10 Slayer is awesome, but not sure if it fits the track day / track toys vibe. It's more of a hot rod. Does it actually do corners?

Edit: Road and Track's 2024 best track cars:

We have most of the cars on that 18-strong list, but the 2023 911 GT3 RS is missing, as is the latest Civic Type R (the FL5) which is also missing.
It also lists the M4 CSL which would be good, but probably not as good as the M5 Comp since we don't have that generation of M5 in the game yet.
