well my buddy was giving me updates on how hes doing on the game all day today LOL

heres what he told me soooo far...

He said theres ALOT more rim selection then the first forza:tup:

The tuning is alot more in-depth. He said its more like Gran turismo tuning.

He started off with a 1992 Honda civic VTI, he now has converted it to a Honda S2000 Drivetrain and is RWD:drool:

he also told me its weird to spin out in a civic:dopey:

thats it for today...

very nice, i preorded my lce edition and bought my wireless wheel today:D I am very pleased with it, no of-centering(it's even more centre then my g25 and is on par with it's ff:crazy:) so i seem to be one of the VERY lucky one's. Got the perfect wheel first time:tup: the shaft only moves up and only by about 1-2mm either way, and it is NOT noticible while playing.

sonzilla: I'd much rather have have boost smoke:D Now THAT would make my decade. forza 2 doesn't have backfire in any way shape or form:(

WHAT!:grumpy: No way... very disappointed I was hoping that since FM2 was praising on how good the sound will be this news blows.

This is what I need to hear every time I shift up through the gears on my modified fully tuned GT's.👍

EDIT:

GOD I love this video ^^^^^^^^^wait and listen for the Ferrari.

Man, looks like I'll have to wait with the European guys. :(

My Xbox kicked the bucket, so all I can do is buy the game and go through the whole replacement process. It's worse, cause I've read all the stories of guys losing their replacement consoles in less than 2 months, 1 guy in a day, to the same 3 light issue. And all the solutions are temp. unless you want to kill your warranty. But I guess I will. If my replacement dies though, I'm getting an Elite...and if that ever dies....Hello $600 Sony 'cause I'm not going to play the games these poor guys have gone through at XboxForums.

Man...this really sucks, but I guess the saying is true. Only when you have gotten the 3 rings of death, have you truely experienced the Xbox 360. :( :( :(

Damn... sorry to hear that.

EDIT:

Please god let me buy that eventually.

Today begins my school finals week. And how can I concentrate on math and science since Im gonna get FM2 in about 6 hours. God please let school go fast...

^^^ Whoa!! That is soooooo goooooood!!! I am pretty sure people will be bidding like crazy for this, whenever it comes on the auction house! And I am sure it'll show up :P

They backfire both ways. So I swear to god If you take any odd innuendos from this, I'll break your face. :grumpy:

BTW, my face is still broken from the last BarFight  I had. So could you please not do that! :P

Well, I woke up early at 9AM to be at Best Buy when they opened at 10 AM. Me and a few other dorks were there waiting for Forza, but much to our dismay, we were told they won't have it in stock until 2PM, or at least that is the company-wide guarantee.

Nearby where I live is a big strip mall with a Meijer, Target, and a GameStop, so I decided to make a run to GameStop on the way home just to see if they have it. One of the guys there was about to give me a copy just before the manager said "No, we have it, but we can't sell it... yet." So I was told to come back around 12PM or so, as it should be on the shelves by then...

Quite frankly, I'm a little pissed. People are there buying Mario Party when that came out what, today? Why can't I buy Forza?

That must have taken ages to draw. Has anyone got a screenshot of the paint modification screen?

Erg.... so damn close. I'm talking about it with my friend. He really wants it too.

I cannot wait to buy my Cobalt.... Does anyone know if you can swap in some huge engines? Because I knew like every Chevrolet could get the C5.R engine.

I have a Jet Fighter Camaro. :D

You cannot put a huge engine like a C5.R in the Cobalt, however you can put a C5.R engine in the Camaro SS 02 and the Camaro Z28 69, by the powertrain swap.

GOT IT!

I ended up going to GameStop after 12PM (like they said). I got there about a half-hour after the games were delivered, and by that point, I bought one of the last non-reserved titles they had.

w00t! North American cars, here I come!

Hopefully they kept it realistic and at the most you can maybe squeeze a V6 in there. The Solstice GXP's 260hp Ecotec should have some potential. I'm getting the standard Solstice as a first car (is the GXP even in there?) and hopefully you can squeeze an LS2/LS7 in there. :)

Edit: My EB Games won't have it for a few more hours. The guy there was definitely in a bad mood and was pretty rude.

Got the Limited Edition version yesterday for HK$350 / GBP22.00. I'm running a stripped out VW GTi MKII with about 250hp. The game's fun. There appears to be many more interesting races than in GT4, but the car models aren't a patch on that game (the textures are way too shiny and the colours seem oversaturated). Still it's a minor gripe. I had a few fun races online last night and I like the way you can customise (trickier than they made out) your car then sell it at the online auction. I made an M3 like a British police car last night and sold it on for a mighty 1,000cr profit...

First impressions - two thumbs up!

Yeah I had a good 8 hours playing someones (names will not be mentioned) dodgy copy of Forza2. And I agree with you about the car models, although thats one thing that the PD guys do realy well, but then pretty much the rest of Forza is better than GT4. The driving physics are pretty damn good, I got to drive a good range of the cars in the Arcade mode and one thing that impressed me most was the fact that you have to revmatch downshifts yourself to minimise drivetrain drag which helps you brake smoother without abs.

I messed around with my friends carrer mode as well and was impressed with the different tyre makes/compounds you can buy. They all have different stats to them, plus you can change wheel size and tyre width. Thankfully putting huge wheels on a car has a detrimental effect on the handling and also buying lighter wheels improves this. Also modifications have a visual difference, like the last stage of weight reduction adds a visable rollcage to the car and you can actually see suspension adjustments like the amount of camber you put on the cars wheels and such.

I just went to the store to try testing the game (since I don't have a 360).
Had fully intentions of buying the entire system, game, and wireless setup all on the results of a FM2 test.
Turns out the store wouldn't let me. :ouch:
Too bad, that's a good bit of money they could have made and now it's all staying in my pockets. :(

I'd rather have tested FM2 bought the system (if the game handled better than FM1).
Damned EB games.
(none the less, I'm still not buying a 360 for FM2 if I can't test FM2 before buying the system) (I will not be burned like I was when I bought an xbox just for FM1) :ouch:

I started with the MKII GTi, that things fun once you put about 50 more hp in it.

If you have a friend with a 360 mabe you could rent forza 2 to try it out like that. I've been very impressed with it and i'm a pretty big GT fanboy I must admit, although I wouldnt advise you to buy a whole system and game if you havent tried the game out yet.

Kent. Buy the 360, and FM2. If you don't like FM2, there are plenty of other good games for the 360. :)

EDIT: Thanks Brett. :dopey:

Depends on what kind of games he likes though, if he hates FPS's/shooters then he's pretty much screwed. Iono maybe kent might like viva pinata. Oh yeah theres that new Colin Mcrae game coming out as well I guess that looks kewl.

I'd ver ymuch reccoment Kent to try before he buys, but don't give up trying to try it. It comes across as poor business that they wouldn't let you try FM2 when you had the intentions of buying the whole system if you liked it. Perhaps it would be worth trying a smaller store, they'd probably be more willing to do something like that, whereas an EB or similar, might hold the view that they don't need to pander to the odd one or two guys that are teetering on the edge of yes or no. They will likely still sell more than enough copies and consoles.
