If it makes you feel any better... I got a new copy after my 360 put a ring around the disk... now, it's freezing randomly and I think it's related to overheating but it doesn't feel that much hotter than any other time.

I have it on it's side and a fan blowing up the bottom of the 360... pray.

Is the limited edition worth it? I might as well just save like $30 and order the normal version if it's not that good. I do like looking at artwork and stuff though.

I got mine just £2 more than the standard version.

Although, the book is pretty nice.

I got the Limited Edition yesterday and I've been playing the game pretty hard since.
It certainly feels like Forza, there's no surprises. It's is improved over Forza 1 but not amazingly so.
I'm annoyed you can't fully customise the controller layout. Left handed players will feel let down and I really don't understand why developers don't let you change the layout the way the player wants. Still, at least the advanced settings are a nice touch.
I don't like how the cars look. It's like they're covered in clingfilm and they're too dark against the environment. You could'nt accidentally mistake them for real cars if you saw them out of the corner of your eye.
Sounds great though and uses 5.1 well. The Nurb looks pretty good, better than in Forza 1 and the GUI is easy to navigate. The car customisation is better and easier though I doubt I'll personally do that much. But I know it floats a few boats.
Ultimately though it feels like Forza. Too much oversteer (until you tune up) and too much sliding but a fine racer all the same. Glad I got it.

My limited edition copy is waiting for me in the shop along with a new x360 seeing as mine decided to break yesterday! Will probably pick it up this evening.

Oh man this game is so booya.

I havent started on the career mode yet, but I just did all the time trials and a couple of the arcade races. Then I raced some random english people and one american guy it was cool. I had an awesome race in the HKS time attack evo vs a bunch of hypercars it was awesome.

Hmm, my game seems buggy. So it prompted an update and none of my replays will play right. I did a few races and none of the replays play correctly.

I started with the Cobalt SS Supercharged. Not happy with the car or track list.

No, you start with 0 credits sadly . No freebies i guess unelss someone gives you a car.

You start with 11 or 12,000 credits, but your forced to buy a starting car before you can actually do anything else that affects your career mode, so you can't.
