It is spam though even if he doesn't realise it because it's an unauthorised advert of another forum, your best bet is to copy that link into your sig which you can do in your "myGTPlanet" page because at some point a mod will remove that link, and principally they are right to.

lol my bad, i didn't even click on the link, thought it was a picture forum like that asian one that poped up after there release.

without broadband (im on wireless, the fastest available here) ive no xbl, is it worth it? no auction house and no photo mode, so, im doubting it. id mention no online racing, but, gt4 was acceptable without.

This is probably the first game to fully persuade me to do online play of any kind but yes I think it's worth it even if there's no connection to xbl. There are a little less cars and tracks than GT4 but the physics and sounds more than make up for it. If you can I'd definitely recommend you try doing the online content though, it's worth it and pretty indepth for online IMO.

With this said I went back and tried arcade mode and it seems I got used to it because I like that mode too. I tried some of the cars I can't get in Career like the McLaren F1 and wow...

I can't wait to get some of these cars.

I have it! You're all dead as soon as I find a network cable long enough to make it from my computer to the Xbox... :D

I've just had my first online race, and won it. I ended up winning by a mile but all the way until the last lap I was dog fighting with another guy in a Tommy Kaira M20b but he messed up and went into a barrier.

BTW at any time I'm online on my 360, I'm probably willing to take part in an online race or two.

EDIT: My 2nd race and I came 6th out of 8, some new guy joined and he did the pit manouver on me down the start finish straight. The sad thing is he was actually pretty fast, he was keeping up with me for the fist couple of laps then he just smaked my rear wing right before the last lap. I can think of several words for players like him.

Can someone list all the of the starter cars you can buy for each region with your starting credits?

It'll be interesting to decide what to buy...

DWA - see, i was thinking of making this the game that would get to get a 360. but, broadband will not be available for the for see able future.

so you see my issues then? i really want it, but, without xbl i feel like ill be missing most of the game.

The meat of games for me has always been the offline content, Forza 2 really does not dissapoint in that area. Though the online races are near flawless from what I've experience so far, it's easy to find a race to join in and so on, but your still getting one heck of an offline game without that.

Just thought I'd let you guys know about this guy: Xx Hook em Horns is his gamertag. Just read on ForzaCentral about some guy he scammed and how he has already scammed over 150 cars from people. If he offers you a friend request, do not accept him and if he tries to contact you, then just tell him you know who he is and what he does.

just thought i'd look out for you guys :)

Got the game yesterday and it's amazing! Got 15th place on one of the leaderboards! Pretty happy with that. I love my Tommy Kaira R34!

After 1 day you have a TK R34?!? Your not the one who bought it off ebay are you?!? J/K:D

that's not good new's, i was hoping it would be a lot slower at progression then fm1, obvesiouly not the case:(

I saw the strategy guide to Forza Motorsport 2 and noticed all the cars in the game. I have to say, the variety of cars seems to be wholly amazing. It features a lot from Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini. All or most of the cars were in stunning detail. I also noticed a lot more real-world courses. And to think, I've been the biggest hater of Forza. But as I've grown more fond of Forza, I've grown to love the series for what it is. The people at Turn 10 seemed to have really outdone themselves. Here is a group saying that they admire the Gran Turismo series and want to make a sim racer XBOX gamers can be proud of. I mean no offense when I say that this is the XBOX's Gran Turismo. It truly is a worthy series. I even seen three machines made (or based) straight out of Houston- the Hennessey Performance Viper (Houston's own), the Risi Competizione 333SP from 1996 (Houston's own), and the beautiful Risi Competizion F430 GT that will race Le Mans on Father's Day weekend (Houston's own). I noted that there were a variety of new test courses. All wicked courses.

Only thing I have yet to do is play the game. But I'll be sure to enjoy what the experience will be like.

a bit early for this but what is turn10's plans considering DLC, I'm disappointed that the BMW M6 isn't there when it was in the trailers ...ect is it going to be like a monthly DLC starting ?? ....

on some side news I can feel the game in my hand already , should be with me 2moro, which is a shame since I finish my exams on wednesday morning , but I will feel better when I know its here :D:D

You may have not seen any of the GM or Chevrolet in the strategy guide though just to let you know.
Did anybody notice that they pulled a Polyphony with the Porsche race cars?

I didn't even know Polyphony pulled something.

He means loads of the same car with tiny changes. There's a few Porsche 911 GT3 race cars that are just different teams.

So where might I be able to find either of these two things...

A full onboard video of the Ring in FM2 and a full car list?

Also, can anyone tell me if cars like the Lamborgini Gallardo get all of the mods any other car can get (GT wings and whatnot)?

Finally, how does the paintshop work this time around? Do they still have the problems with decals that I had mentioned in previous discussions?

Thanks for all the info fellas... Also, feel free to post links for anything you feel may be helpful. :D

The Lambo Gallardo does get the the Forza wing and front splitter, as does the Enzo, the TVR Speed 12, the Chrylser ME 4/12 etc, I'm yet to try/see a supercar that can't. The main cars that sometimes don't are certain classics, like the Lancia Stratos, you can give it a front splitter but not a rear wing, the Cheverolet Camaro (old ones) don't get a front splitter or rear wing but they can have an adjustable lip put on the back of the bootkind of like an old NASCAR or so I'd imagine. So it varies, but generally for the most part, thoes mods can be put on almost anything.

As for the paintshop, it works quite similar to the first one. I'm not aware of what you'r gripes we're but it is better than the first. For example being able to group layers together and save them so say if you make your own logo, you can just laod it onto any car without having to remake it. Also you can group layers and alter them all at the same time and so on. Having letters in the vinal shapes is a big plus.

Well...
My gripes were regarding the decals with brands on them... Companies and cars didn't get the attention they needed (such as putting nismo stickers on nissans or getting to use the decal of your mod company on any car that could use the mod company's parts)... That seems to be all fixed though thanks to the new option for Letters (which makes things much better I'm sure).

Regarding the mods, I'm glad to hear you can do pretty much anything to most of the cars. 👍

Sounds like FM2 is a great game (still haven't been able to test it in a store... :irked: EB Games 👎 ).

In any case, I suppose the only thing left is to go play and find out for myself (man I'm sick of ending my FM2 thoughts on that note... I really need to play the game already!!! ).

Has anyone tried racing with the Red Bull Porsche Cup Car? It's impossible to drive, utterly useless. This is in standard tune from winning it. Has anyone got a set up for it that works? Maybe I can tune it but boy, it's a serious pig to drive!

Lots of downforce.

Well, I've finally had a chance to play the game (bought it for a moneyless 360-owning friend as a sort of graduation gift), and I gotta say it went above and beyond my expectations. :)

I suppose there's no using repeating myself when I've already shared a somewhat detailed review of the game, but long story short, although the physics aren't #1 among consoles, they're far better than GT4, and nothing else offers quite the same combo of a detailed customization system, varied car selection, and online play.

I've got a 380bhp MX-5 and god damnit I just can't get those rear (race widest width) tyres to grip. Please dont tell me my only option is tacking that ugly forza wing ontop of it because i'll be so dissapointed. I've tried adjusting my springrates, lsd, toe/camber to reduce oversteer but it still doesnt work soooooooooo.

The swaybars tend to help out quite a bit, I managed to get my 800hp Solstice under control that way.
