I have had the game for 2 weeks not one week, anyway I was talking to someone at work about me being at that level, and he went aren't you going a bit too fast, but I replied back with "No.”

But with me at level 46 now, my challenge is to get 43 out of 44 achievements by this Friday or a day before this Friday.

Math's not your strong point, is it?

You said you got the game Friday. That date was May 25th....

May 25th was 1 week ago.
Stop including how you got the game so early before everyone else in your post. It's quite rude, and getting down-right annoying.

"I got the game early, I got the game early!"
Good for you. Now shut up, and go play it.

even 2 weeks is a short period :indiff:
Leveling up just affects what races you can enter and what cars are on sale ect, it's not how much of the game you've completed. You can be on level 50 and still have all but one race left to win, granted that'd take a hell of a long time earning the botom race prize money over and over again, but the levels arn't how much of the game you've completed, just how much of it is available to you.

Well I got the game today and played for around 6-7hours, I'm up to level 18 and have a nice collection of cars. As Dave A said, be put off by everyone levelling up really quick as the level only affects how many races you can partake in, I still have so many races to do and there are so many cars to collect. Bearing in mind that I'm not really that good at racing games and I have been using some of the assists. If I turn those off it will be far more challenging.

Overall I still have loads to do, I haven't touched the online part yet either. I also haven't done much tuning to any of the cars or any vinyl work. Arcade mode which has time trials and exhibition races still needs to be done which unlocks new cars. Should keep me busy for a good few months especially with the online play.

I made a typing mistake.

Yeah...

I just purchased a 360 out of the blue and got me Forza 2. :)

I'm still very early into the game, and would like to hear everyone's opinion on this game.

Anyone know how long the Endurance races are?

I'm going to try and race them myself if they're only an hour or two long. It'll give me a challenge... :P

This game looks astonishing and is the first game that is making me want to go out today and buy a Xbox 360. The graphics look supreme from the videos, the customisation is mind blowing it is wayyy better than GT series will ever be. I just really want this game now, it looks amazing. Just a question does it have photo mode? I think it does but I am not sure.

Yeh there is a photomode and you upload the pictures to the official Forza 2 website. You can pause the game at any point in a race and take photos.

If you have the spare cash you should get a XB360 anyway, not just for this game but for the other amazing games aswell.

I rented this yesterday, and its a decent 360 game, but it doesn't feel that different from FM1, i still get a sense of arcady-ness in the game, but at least the brakes with ABS off feel better now, no more "Insta-lockup" 👍

Still doesn't give me that "driver feedback" like GT does

I like the way the cars feel, from the 2 or 3 in the game that I have driven in real life they feel about on par...especially the Ion Redline.

Things I like:
- The physics
- The car selection, but there could be more, hoping for DLC
- Engine swaps
- Paint shop
- Sound
- Rim selection

I do have a few problems though:
- No night courses
- Lack of courses
- When you mirror your graphics they are misaligned
- Graphics
- The brake glow is a little over zealous
- To many racing cars
- No autocross track

Any of you tried tournaments and stuff? How well is it integrated? I havent tried yet coz my connection sucks, but I am up for online racing, even though I'd lag, I'll make sure I dont bump into anyone! :P

BTW, TVR&Ferrari-Fan, not trying to be a jack-ass or anything, but if you're bragging about having the game early, then u should know I had it 1 day b4 you did! :P , although it didnt work :( as it was PAL and my console is NTSC=u/c .. But level 50 is insane bro!!
At first, leveling up was too easy. I leveled up till 15 in about 1 hour of game play (with all assists off and completely hard AI, havent tried medium yet).. But then going from 15 to 16 took atleast half n hour, so I am guessing it'll only get tougher! (which is way better :P )

I've qualified for the two tournaments open right now, but my seeding is dropping all the time, so I'm gonna have to redo times in a bit before the deadline.

Something I don't like with career mode is the rewards for races - a lot of the later ones are another tuned Integra/Supra/Skyline or a R class racecar that pretty much drive the same after a while. It would have been good to have to race for the more desirable cars such as the 250 GTO or Carrera GT instead of unlocking them through gaining career levels - I don't have that much of an incentive to do the races because of this.

Physics with the wheel are a mix of good and bad - mid corner and corner exits don't feel right in some cars particularly RWD cars and will spin easily with the slightist change in steering, which is a reason I believe why controller times are faster since the computer adjusts the steering a la Gran Turismo. I very rarely move past a certain point on the steering wheel because it upsets the car so much, and as far as I remember I've only turned my wheel full lock on the corckscrew at Laguna Seca and I have my settings to give maximum width, it's pretty hard to judge inputs because of this I feel.

Online is decent however taps from other cars put you in uncontrollable spins - you can't race like you can in TOCA. I really hope they fix this as close racing is hard to do, especially with the godawful spacial awarness in the game (you can't look left or right with the wheel so you have no idea where anyone is unless directly behind) and even on straights rubbing doors can lead the other car (or your own) to spin out and ruin the race.

Not only if you go off the course, but if you do a race thats about 3 laps or more, you can see rubber and track grime building up on the bumpers and around the wheel wells.

It all depends on the type of class, most races last for about 30 minutes to an hour. However the last race in the Endurance class should last for about an hour and 10 minutes, anyway I have just collected all the cars from France, and I have also just completed the Endurance class.

The new Peugeot 908 race car will be available very soon for free.
The E92 M3 is supposedly confirmed, but will probably be out when the car itself, is released.

I do have a few problems though:
- No night courses
Sacrificed for 60FPS....

I really wish they kept 12 cars, and everything else and stayed at 30FPS. I've seen some pretty nice 30FPS games (PGR3), and I easily think Forza 2 could have retained it's look now with it since at 60FPS, it doesn't look a whole lot different from FM1.

I was wondering why the hell they showed the BMW M6 in the first trailer for the game...

And the car isn't in the game!

Did anyone else notice while scrolling through the menu of cars the first thing that came to my mind was NFS. Maybe it's my TV but damn why is everything so shiny and narrow looking. While I was looking at the RX7 in red as it spun around in the garage the reflection of the hood turned white. Even in the race it turned white for a sec during the countdown.

That's my only beef everything else is pretty sweet. I just can't stand the shiny texture. I resulted in toning down the color on my TV trying to give it a sharper look.:guilty:

Yeah, I really hate that too. I was driving my red 350Z the other day and you can see the perfect reflections of the clouds.

I'm through with the auction house until there is an update. It ate my GT500 when I canceled the auction, and now it has been eating my money when I've bid on cars but get outbid. I clicked "Receive money" because I didn't feel like paying higher, and it goes through the little transaction thing but I don't actually get any money. That bid disappears for a couple seconds from My Bids only to reappear saying that I've been outbid...

I really like this game, but I do have a few gripes like most of you:

- I really wish 12 cars could've been made possible, maybe make it so it runs in 30FPS mode when more than 8 cars are present?? Surely something like that would be possible.

- notable cars missing when they really should be there. Examples: BMW M5, BMW M6, E30 M3, there's more that I can't think of right now, but I wish they'd of struggled a bit to make each selection for manufacturer closer to "100%" in terms of people's desirability rather than stop at "80%", you guys know what I mean? I guess some of these will be available thru DLC

- Road America missing and I was hoping we'd have Sears Point or Mosport. No Mosport is a disappoinment. :guilty:

Have any of you compared your times with the scoreboards? I'm nowhere near the top 10 times. There must be a big discrepancy between cars in the same class, because I'm way off the pace:

- Laguna Seca, Class D
- best I manage was 1:40.x with a 400 rating Porsche 914/6
- top time is like 1:35 in Lotus Elan
- that's a pretty big difference considering I did an excellent lap

- Maple Valley short, reverse, Class D
- best I manage was 48.5 with 398 rating Scion tC
- top time is 42.x
- now this difference is utterly ridiculous for such a short track. I was able to beat the AI on hard by quite a margin too (and the AI was in a Class C car too) and I thought my lap was really really good. I am approximately 85% on the pace.

I just find it really surprising I'm not closer since I was using decent setups for both of these times (not totally stock) and they were very good laps and I can usually beat about anyone online (usually in inferior cars too). Those leaderboards are just insane.

How do you compare your times with the score-boards. after I finish the race, it always updating scoreboard or something, but I've never really bothered to check or compare yet (coz i prolly dont know where to go, to check the top 10 times right there)..

Probably hackers/glitchers bro. We've already had some hacked times of 1 minute on certain courses that would be impossible upon.
