I wonder if you will be able to copy something from the Paint Editor and paste it onto another type of vehicle. There have been so many times I have wanted to copy a racing number plate (after grouping decals) and paste it onto another car (for a racing team/series). Not to mention full liveries. I would love to have a fleet of vehicles with similar liveries, without having to create each from scratch every time I get a new vehicle.

Furthermore, being able to transfer some of your designs from Forza 2, to Forza 3 would be a big plus, considering how long they took to create. Although, I imagine the graphical differences (i.e. polygon count) might make this impossible/improbable.

;)

Couldn't you sort of do that in Forza 2? I know I made a Euro number plate and put it on several cars by saving it as a group.

I don't know, I'm getting tired of seeing that Audi. It's not even remotely exciting in real life let alone in a digital format.

I would at least like Turn 10 to keep going with their teasers. We got the Japanese cars now how about the European and American ones? They don't need to show screens of every car but I would like to see something a bit different so I know what to expect and to see if the car list is any good. There have been numerous games *cough* NFS *cough* that have had rather lackluster car lists which sort of defeats the point of a racing game.

On the subject of the Audi, I heard somewhere that just like FM2, there will be no active aero (at least visually) on any of the cars in FM3. That would mean the 60mph spoiler on the Audi R series car would not be visible. And Veryon and the Porsche GT. Hopefully, I'm wrong on this one.

Where has the Veyron said to be in the game?

:dunce:

Since the game doesn't allow you to save designs to be used on other vehicles, I had just assumed. I was sure I had tried it before, and it didn't work. I'll give it a go when I get home. If this is the case, I have a lot of copying and pasting to do.

I'll be online most of the night racing, if anyone wants to see the results of my hard work.

Thanks for the info.

I can not see any reason why not as that wheel works with all the other driving games,

Wish I could share your optimism.

IMO 'works with all the other driving games' is a matter of definition. For example in Race Pro, Force Feedback is so lame (as well as the game itself), so 'with all the other driving game' is reduced to an absolute minimum. Anyhow let's hope the best :)

Drive FX does not use Force Feedback. So, depending on how the game implements it's FFB, the wheel has to interpret it and try to mimic the feeling of FFB. So, you're going to have very different experiences depending on the game.

That's be nice, I've got a few long term project designs in Forza 2 that I'd like to port over but like you I can't see it happening with the changes between the games textures and models.

mate you're right...it's not FF. I hope that the "interpretation" of FF will be good (or even better :dopey:). I don't want to buy an M$ Wheel...it's kinda &$&$§...you know what I mean (hehe)...I rather stick with Logitech.

logitech is also kind of %&%&%& you know what I mean when you tried Fanatec wheels lol.

But really the Drive FX is of lesser quality than the MS FFB wheel. And I didn´t like the MS FFB wheel at all but it has a lot better pedals, more steering lock. No brainer better force feedback and better grip. No reason to be loyal to a brand be loyal to the best products instead.

I owned a Fanatec Speedster 3 for the original xbox and it was overpriced and crap. Best you could buy for the original xbox, but that's not saying much, certainly wasn't worth what I payed for it despite the fact I got it cheap from my sister who worked at a shop selling it. I know the new Fanatecs are better, but they still look over priced and I dont trust thier reliability after many hours of gaming.

As you say you can´t compare the new wheels to the old ones... Wasn´t the old ones even cheaper than the Drive FX for example? It would be like saying the G25 is crap because I have tried the drive FX :). As for overpriced the Turbo S is a bit due to the licensing costs in comparison to the RS. But there is no comparison to the G25 so as so often you do get what you pay for.

I don't think the damage was one during that video, the player's car was hitting everything else without any damage what so ever. I'm glad there is at least roll over in the game though, so provide for some awesome crashes.

Ya I hope they show some damage vids soon; you can just imagine some of the pileups online at the end of the Mulsanne :)

No doubt ... there are much better wheels on the market than the DriveFX...still IMO it's real pain to pay 300€ for a wheel

New pictures are about to be released very soon of new cars, I have seen them from a press pack.

I would upload the pics but they will be officially released anytime now, anyone who can't wait drop this into your browser to download

*EDIT* just as a note it looks as they got the Pontiac G8 body roll correct :D

MS wheel is about $100 brand new. I'd say it's well worth it over the Drive FX, if you're not planning on shelling out the $300 or more for the Fanatec wheels when they're released. It's definitely not perfect, but as oqvist said, just about everything is superior over the Drive FX. Having REAL FFB is a huge improvement alone.

Oh man SUV's! This is going to be awesome, especially with the roll over feature. Thanks for posting up the link to the photos!

Ewww, SUVs, I hate them on the road and hate them even more in racing games :P They should all be sent out into the middle of no where, where they belong.

What's with the Pontiac? Its looks very high off the ground.

Also, why do T10 wash out all the images? Is it just me, or do all the images look terribly washed out... if I go into nVidia control panel and decrease the gamma from 1.0 to 0.77 and the brightness from 50% down to 35%, the images look so much nicer and the colors look more like their real life counter parts.

Indeed. I really wish they would have put that production time/game space/development time towards something that actually has to do with racing. The addition of SUV's seems really out of place without any kind of off road areas in the game, especially.

Turn 10's reasoning is that it's "fun with physics". Although, I'm sure all the HoMi3Z want to drive their dropped Cayenne's on 24's yo . This seems to stink a bit of Midnight Club or NFS, to be honest, as a marketing decision anyway.

;)

SUV's, especially the SUV's that seem to be going into Forza, can race just fine. I mean the BMW X5 was run around the 'Ring and can do quite well.

I can see where people would complain if they were putting in Yukon's or Hummer's in the game, but not SUV's designed for the street. The only one on there that is questionable is the Land Rover.

Driving a street car on a track is enough of a dog, driving an SUV on a track is just, eek. Its like "why drive fast in a nimble track car when I can drive slow in an overweight, top heavy and unbalanced behemoth instead!". I guess some people out there actually want to drive those things on a track, but why oh why? :P

Because it offers more of a challenge to do it effectively. Racing a track car on a track isn't difficult because it's been designed to do it. As I've said before, I play games to be entertained, and having a element like SUV's in a game brings forth a new element in which to play around with. It just adds more playability.
