I find it lame we didn't get any information or screenshots about the game yesterday. What is Turn 10 morphing into PD all of a sudden?

Just looking at Gaf there's some iphone pics from T10's Twitter lol.

Says to expect some stuff from Penny arcade expo but I guess 3/4weeks before the release they'll start being serious.

I mean that when you spec up a real Abarth, the sticker comes with the red mirror covers. They are bought as a package for £160.

It seems odd that someone (a player, not Turn 10) would go to the lengths to replicate the Abarth factory options exactly. Unless the car comes in red and white as standard.
You'd be amazed how far people will go with the livery editor to replicate real cars.

I was thinking that, I've seen some pretty odd and accurate recreations of various paint schemes done if Forza 2, I don't see why the same won't be done in Forza 3.

Especially when there is an option specifically for changing mirror colors...Also, Turn 10 is just like Polyphony Digital - they model the car that is brought to them. They don't necessarily go looking for a completely base model of the car they want...the specific 500 that they modeled could have had that 160 pound option on it.

In Forza 2, cars with stripes (Mustang, GT500, probably the Ford GT) are available with and without them. You don't pay the extra cost for a paintjob with stripes.

Looks like Donington Park has just been confirmed.

And, speaking of looking good, the very attractive PUMA Formula 2 racer Natasha Gachnang – cousin of Formula 1’s highly-rated rookie, Sebastien Buemi – has been unveiled as the smiling official face of Forza Motorsport 3. Whilst thoroughly enjoying a preview of the game, Gachnang has found the experience professionally useful, too. Due to drive at Donington Park later this year in an F2 race – and having never visited the venue, previously – the Swiss miss has now completed several dozen laps of the circuit via FM3, and feels newly-confident about attacking the race-track selected to host next year’s British Grand Prix.

Kudos to our own phil-t.

Edit*
Another marketing mis-information. :indiff:

Donington! I love that rollercoaster ride though it´s quite tricky to overtake on that track. You have to go all in into the hairpin generally ;)

Well, with a little bit of tuning or part swapping, I can drive anything in these games. Well, except a late model Mustang. I just tap the gas about 1mm, and the damn thing lights up it's tires and does 5,000,000 donuts before I can even leave the stupid starting grid. Yes, I am whining.

Tje only car that was a real nightmare was the lingenfelder corvette crazy tuned for speed on that weird new york start stop street circuit. But playing with the differential it was possible to get the power into the ground somewhat.

That wasn't the ONLY car that was a real nightmare, unless you are just speaking from your experience. I agree, that was a nightmare as well, though not as much as the Mustang I got (the gifted stang from Major Nelson).

A couple more pictures from che have surfaced

Why can't they get the :censored:ing head/tailights right?!?!

I think this game looks great otheriwise. I'm kind of wishing I had an Xbox right now so I could play it. :guilty: I've looked on craigslist, but the cheapest I've found was like $120. I guess that would be pretty good, but I'm 13 and I don't have a job (couldn't get one anyway).

Including the "standard" NA MX-5 is an awesome choice on their behalf. Things are looking good for us '90s car fans...

Wow! Just wow!

Look at the detail on those wheels and tyres.

This is going to be a monumental diving simulator.

thats^ nothing compared to this...

One thing for shure is that this game will not dissapoint me. and it will be different. the new stuff that came on Forza2, I was impressed. I'm a late Forza2 player. I've been playing Forza 1 more than Forza2.(I got FM2 last november). I think this game will also have more. I just hope the music dosent get very borring quick.

I'm wondering if the shots with all the tire detail visible haven't been brightened. That's the only way you should be able to see the tire that clearly in most cases, and that would be hurting the look of the lights too.

You can always drive off the road a bit and get the car dirty so they aren't so clean. :P

Which makes me wonder, on the cockpit view, is/are the windshield/windows going to get dirty as the race progresses? Would be awesome to get tar and crap over them.

Edit: Also, its about time we get to have the top down...They should at least give us the option that GT4 did to have the top up or down (I know that wasn't actually a choice) but have it up in real races for the sake of processing power.

^I've never understood why the hell Forza's Development company can't just allow people to drive with the top off / down on the appropriate cars, and just give them roll bars required in the race restrictions in order to compete or something, just like reality.

I mean ****, Forza 1 had the AC Cobra which was topless, so what gives!?

If they are going to have dirt buildup they better do the what it´s called the windshield cleaner spray as well and not just the wipers to wipe it off.

It can get annoying for long races where you in the end have quite reduced visibility :) And in Evo and such you only have the windshield wipers to go crazy with but as in real life those aren´t 100 % effective lol

^Better yet, make it so that a pit is required like in reality (greasy stuff just smears if you use your wipers). The pit animations could include a guy who wipes the windscreen down with a rag, and if you're in one of the more professional races you have a proper team in overalls and quaint little caps who quickly rush over it.

They could even programme in a bum who runs out from behind the apex onto the track while the safety cars are out and tries to wash your windscreen without asking.

It's processing power, if you drive on the out of car view then the game doesn't fully render the carrs interior or full driver detail and animations. Once you take the top off then the game has to render everything well. Doing this with one car on the grd probably won'tb ea problem but if you found yourself in a race with 4 or 5 other cars with the tops down then it would put a serious strain no the computer provided the game is already pushing the GPU which it should be.

In GT5P you can still have few top down cars, and have full 16 gird race.. what gives Xbox?

But anyways.
Man I can't wait for this game..
Turn 10 guys only need to have more realistic courses and I will love it more then GT5P. Maybe even as GT5, because of what we hear so far with GT5, it only looks better, more cars, and maybe more events, but so far damage there is not too good, we don't know anything else...
In FM3 Another thing that dissapoints me is 30 FPS cockpit view.. FAIL
as well how Graphics are during live gameplay compared to photomode shots.. anotehr FAIL.. at least GT5P and Photomode pics looks almost the same, expect in game its less AA.

The cockpit view is 60 FPS.

Any proof?
When announced at E3 it was only 30 FPS in cockpit mode.. and i was looking on FM3 forums and same story.. People complain about it... unless I miss something out on..
Even when watching videos, Cockpit mode is slower over the Bumper cam or outside cam.
