Wow I think I missed the boat, we get a demo on the 24th! That's going to be awesome, I think I'm most jonesed about having the JCW Cooper in the demo.

One would never know with the birthday wish under your name :)

Or the car I drive :D.

Never have spent a lot of time in a JCW I won't be able to compare physics all that well. I need to ask the guy in the Cooper Club if he take me for a good ride and maybe let me drive his JCW.

That wheelie is... not very well done. From a game point of view.
It's like: hey, let's change the coding in this drag race so that the front magically lifts up, without changing anything else at all. Nobody will notice! ;)

Nice. I sure do like the Mini, no question. I really didn't know much about them until they hit the U.S. shores in the past few odd years. I had SEEN them on occasion in a movie, but never in real life. From what I understand, this new gen of Mini is bigger than the old, right?

I am moist over the California in the demo personally!

I'm going to be ordering the Limited Edition version of this, I didn't realise it was available in the UK until I saw it in Gamestation for pre order today. 👍

That Challenger wheelie looks awful, the front end just floats up.
I've been to a few drag days here in Dallas, & I've never seen a car's front end just lift like that. But, I will wait for further judgement because in the trailer, it does go into a "Slow-Mo" directly after launch.

Is it 55 quid there?

On shopto its £46.85.

They do reserve the right to up the price though. Up to you.

They had V8 superstars for a lot cheaper but people on here went and paid full price elsewhere and then moan it wasn't a budget title like advertised.

I've never had a problem with shopto. I don't know but people like wasting money it seems.

Agreed, I've got my last couple of games from shopto, they've always been the cheapest I could find and although they reserve the right to change the price within a certain time period before delivery they never have with any of my orders.

It isn't.

The car in the video has the SRT8's lip on the trunk that says SRT8 on it. That alone tells us its not a SRT10. There's also the missing Viper logo on the shaker.

The car must be fabricated then. It sounds like the video I posted which has the 10 in it.

It can sound like whatever it wants. It could be a stock V8, swapped V10, or either engine modified beyond the limits.

Who cares?

Who cares? I thought we were just making discussion. :nervous:

Sorry, I won't discuss cars and accuracy any longer.

I'm the last person who won't talk about inaccuracy. I'm labeled a GT fanboy at FC just because I point out the errors in Turn10's modeling.

Perfect. Then we can carry on :)

The wheels are also not accurate for the SRT 10 either. So the question is, did T10 screw up? Because that is the shaker from the SRT 10 Challenger concept. The SRT8 doesn't come standard with any shaker (though I heard the 09 has the shaker optional).

The shaker on the SRT10 Challenger has Viper on it, the in-game car doesn't.

Mate, all it is, is a modified SRT8 Challenger with mods obviously inspired by the SRT10. Doesn't necessarily mean the SRT10 Challenger isn't in, but the car in the trailer is a SRT8; you can see the logo on the car's boot lip. :)

Neogaf

FUN FACT: The entire intro video with the Challenger taking off at the end was captured in-game and not during replay. Basically, we detached the camera from the back of the car in 3rd person view and scripted it to do flybys and choreographed moves. These are essentially in-game graphics with no added AA, etc. We had considered doing a CG rendered intro video but felt confident that the game looked good enough to just do it all in-game in real-time.

Glad you guys enjoyed it. For those of you who are into avatars, we have pics of awesome Forza gear going up on FM.net shortly with our Gone Gold article.

Wow, that video was awesome - hope the game does'nt dissapoint. I've bought an Xbox last week for this game and finally got to play Forza 2.

Forza 2's sound and livery editor were great however the cartoonish graphics, over-emphasized physics, arcade-ish menu screens and boring replays( no single car time trial replays too:tdown:), meant that i stopped playing it already!

Forza 3 seems to deal with some of those issues. The menu screens seem to be more like GT (classy, mature) and the graphics seems realistic enough( although actual gameplay videos don't seem to be as realistic). Hope the physics and replay issues are delt with.

Most of all i hope i would'nt be regretting my xbox purchuse:nervous:

Just an FWI, the reason the Challenger looks the way it does is because the replay system is set to play at a slower rate. Thus making the acceleration and the front end look more cinematic. This has been a common practice on almost every xbox racing game since xbox live began

ive had FM3:LE on pre order since the 15th of july it was a toss up between this and DiRT 2. As long as the upgrade options remain the same with engine conversions and such remain i think ive made the right choice. Hopefully this drag mode isnt like the one in GT4 and introduces a competive element

Thanks for posting that. I appreciate it.

So, since what YOU said, and what was just posted by a Turn 10 employee of that video taken in game during gameplay...then I have to believe that the mods have been improved with FM3. We were never allowed custom/mod hoods or shakers before. If that is the case then, bonus.

Well, that's what you get after playing GT5P. You'll be a little dissapointed with Forza 2 and in time you end up playing Gt5p again.
It just good to try Forza and see what could be improved in Gran turismo. The sound in Forza is sweet(tip:carrera gt), and the livery editor can be fun. Don't forget the damage and skidmarks....

It looks like Forza 3 is going to be better than GT5 in the same areas(sound, livery and damage).

I just really hope the physics are right in Forza 3(like prologue), but i'm not to impressed by the gameplay videos so far, but that could be the settings.

The demo comes out at the 24th september but you have to be a gold member(which i'm not). Paying to be able to go online..... Hell no!

I hope they sell those as a whole pack & not as independent items. 👎
Looks like my wish is dead.

GT5:P is better than Forza 2, GT4 was about on a par with Forza 2.

I respect your opinion, but GT4 physics was pure arcade far from even PGR4.

GT5 Prologue is much better than GT4 except it doesn't look like game calculate tire physics and traction at all due to pretty weird cars behavior at limit. And many car in game drive nowhere near their real life counterparts, so cars don't feel authentic.

Fun game focused on presentation, variety of events and challenging driving experience. Simulator? I don't think so

So you know what a Ford GT or Viper SRT-10 drives like....

Just please stop posting. There's giving an opinion, and then there's that excuse of a thing you call your opinion, that does nothing more than just show you don't have any real hand knowledge of a simulator. As Dave's said, you're just trying to stir things up because you post this exact same load in the GT5 forums.
