Oh my god is right. I didn't expect that already. Damn...I love how on top of the new cars this game is. 458 will be flipping amazing.

And that video....talk about morning wood.

Fox...yes...I am now a tire flex whore. I watch for that in every vid from here on out.

No it didn't, the camera just flickered. I noticed it too but the car didn't change at all, it was just a flicker.

I'm guessing the lights changing (which I didn't notice before I just saw flicker from the front) is just a LOD problem they either haven't noticed or haven't sorted out. But the car model itself doesn't change.

That's not a mirror, it's part of the centre console.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't notice Benz's post :dunce:

bha porshes all look the same.... no innovation really.... imo the carrera gt is even ugly... ok ok engine is great, but the car is ugly... not a big fan of ferrari either but at least they evolve, with new shapes.... Porshe = Beefed up Beetle

Its the same car, but high-res first and then low-res. Notice how you can see all the interior details, then you can't. Forza 3 uses high-res models in some places, but low-res models while racing. They obviously use high-res models before the race starts since the game zooms in on details on the car, where you'd want it to look nice.

But Turn 10 screwed up the high-res model for the 997 GT3. There was a thread on the official forum about the screwed up back lights on the GT3 from a gamescon video, showing the GT3 in garage mode. I hope they really got everything fixed in the final build, because I've seen a lot of sloppy **** from official videos and gameplay videos just weeks old. It worries me about the quality control on this game. I hope it wont be riddled with glitches and bugs since its golden now.

Screenshots and video up.

Do you guys remember weeks or months ago we had this video of the GT3. It has this strange tape shape on the taillight.

There was a thread but I don't see an explanation to if this is some error or what it is.

I assumed there'd be an explanation or fix for the final build.

What build are these videos from taxigamer

I don't follow every Porsche so not sure what's going on.

That black GT3 Cup you posted is the series 2 type 997, which has a different tailight shape.

That shot of the yellow Porsche looks horrible...the brake light looks like a piece of duct tape stuck on there. Wavy.

Indeed, there's something very strange happening with one of the LoD models of that car. I wonder if it's a higher or lower LoD texture that has the problem. Weird!

Yes I know. Just a reference to other lights.

Sometimes transparent shapes are overlayed to round things off or shape a corner. Maybe work in progress lights from another GT3 have got mixed up.

Nevermind..

I think it's exactly how zlimness has described it, can't imagine why the tail-lights were made different between the two models though.

Tomorrow when we all are dissapointed, or excited about the news from GT5 from Tokyo, don't forget the FORZA MOTORSPORT 3 DEMO will be on Xbox live. You will need a Gold membership otherwise you'll have to wait for another week before you can download.

We already know how it's going to look like, but now its the time to check out the physics and car handling off the game. I think it's going to be pretty good and it may even be perfect!!

I think the physics will be the same as FM2, i.e. Simcade at best. I also want to see how the visuals actually are when playing it, as all the early screenshots for FM2 looked almost as good as the FM3.

Looking forward to driving some of the new cars, though.

They still look the same from all the vids.

Which are good anyway. I know the concept frightens you as a competitor is worthy, but Forza 2 had fairly decent physics, and to be frank I don't know why you're always badmouthing it. You can't play the hardcore sim fan card in this scenario, so what gives? Previous iterations of GT weren't as good as Forza's. Forza 3 hopefully will bring the polish that will make them spot on.

It's a big ironic calling Forza a simcade game on a GT forum too, by the way. Whatever floats your lil ol tug-tug-tugboat though. On the other hand I'm still holding out for GT 5 has to bring to the table, because it looks from GT5:P like it's once again (finally) something fresh instead of diluted, and PD are back in their old game (by that I mean playing strong, not PSX :D).

Forzas physics are average at best its just at the time that both forzas came out there was really no competition out there (at least not on console) that were trying to make a realistic game.

Forza made a game inspired by realistic physics that was more realistic than games such as PGR and GT4 so naturally everyone flocked to it. Now that more and more games are taking the realism route e.g. GT, NFS, RacePRO the flaws in forzas physics are beginning to show more clearly. Especially since it seems that the physics didn't change between FM1 and FM2 and are probably still unchanged in FM3 despite what T10 say.

I will still buy the game but I know it just wont be where I want it to be in the physics department as cars will still be able to pull unrealistic speeds around corners and damn right stupid lap times like in forza 2.

I know the concept scares you and everyone over at FM.net that another game is better than FM which is why they always badmouth every racing game unless its quiet clearly arcade.

Everything in Forza will be brilliant apart from the major point of actually driving the cars as like I said above the physics just wont be there. In the same sense that I love everything about NFS:Shift apart from the fact that it's still designed using the annoying old central axis steering method that really ruins the game for me.

Non the less to me forza 2 is one of the 3 games that simulate street tires and their feel in a best way on the market. The games are live for speed, enthusia and forza 2.

Can't wait for the demo tommorow. Last time I was so hyped for a game, it was for lfs s1 I think.

Looking forward to read everyone's view about it. I plan to buy the 360 when FM3 is out so I can download the VIP pack and have a months play with the 1 months Gold membership.

On a silver membership can you buy DLC like the 458 Italia for instance?

What I want to read about is how the Fanatec Turbo S wheel is like with the game, I'm sorry but I can't take the MS 240 degree wheel seriously and its more like 180 left and right. I keep thinking to buy the Turbo S then decide not to. It's the games first 900 degree wheel and I'm not sure if its feedback strength or rotation is going to work right. If the cars are near full lock at 90 with the Turbo S then I won't buy one. I don't think there's many Turbo wheels been sent out yet so might have wait a while.

The funny thing is, if you replace FM.net with GTPlanet.net and FM with GT5 you get the same thing that happens here.

I'm guessing you've played it then so you actually know, maybe you'd like to give us a major insight into the game then?

I thought this thread was supposed to be about Forza news, not comparing it to other games or whatnot. It's starting to get a bit ridiculous.
