Hey guys, just got my LCE, but where's the BMW 1M Coupe code supposed to be? I looked in the box and saw nothing?
 
I looked over the receipt. I'll check again. I swear if Best Buy screws me over I'm going over there and kicking ass.

I believe the retailer provides that. So you may wanna talk to them about it.

Best Buy Canada is still dragging their feet. No update to my status, it still says "In Progress" with no hint at if it's even delivered to the warehouse yet. The email last week said I should get a tracking number once it's sorted, but the only email they've sent me is about some anniversary sale.

This is the first time I've ordered something online from a Canadian site, and I'm beginning to realize why that is...

haha, I know that gamestop always puts them on there receipts. I have never pre ordered with best buy so i'm not sure how they do it. I hope they release dlc with the pre order cars. I want a 1M and a 2011 Sedan STI :(

I asked when I was there. He should have had to scan two things. One was the game and the other was a second sheet that had a picture of the BMW on it. It printed the code twice on my receipt and they send the code to your email.

Nope, no code on the receipt, no code in an E-Mail, I'll try and talk to them later. I feel pissed right now, first I had to wait 30 Minutes because they can't put another person up at customer service, and the only person there is treating some idiot who can't put the keys back on the keyboard. Then when we get home, we can't open up the buzzer case so we have to break it open with a mallet, then they don't give me my damn 1M!!!! :mad:

I thought it'd be a little bit more like Gamestop where they actually think to print the code. Dumb asses!

By any chance does anyone know how far the code is down the receipt? Mine is like a foot long with a lot of codes so I may be overlooking something.
 
Just picked up my LCE from gamestop. Had to take wife to the supermarket so it's right across the parking lot. As I expected, they tried to get me for the full price even though I reserved for 69.99. Funny enough the guy I reserved it with was right there and remember the whole conversation we had about the price being 69.99 and how I said any more and I would have just picked up the regular but since it was only 10 bucks more why not. He punched in some codes and got the price right. Right now helping wife put groceries away , while typing, lol and waiting for some game saves to be copied over to hard drive to make space for FM4 install.

My first Limited Edition of any game!!

Out of the 20 LCE's the Best Buy had, only 5 were pre-orders. 👍
 
Just bought the standard edition after class, Installing it as we speak. I intentionally avoided much news about this game, so the first I've really read about it were a few reviews this morning. If it's as much of an improvement over 3 that they say it is, I'm going to be pretty happy.

Just went to my local Best Buy and they had 3-4 LCE's sitting out for sale. Wouldn't give me a M coupe pre-order car though! :ill: (I didn't pre-order with them).

Interestingly - most of the standard editions had a "bonus" DLC logo on the front and listed the early pre-order incentive cars (Tesla, Ruf, '65 mustang, etc) on the back. But none of the LCE packages had the same logo or any mention of these cars.

Let me know if you think it is worth it. I'm considering it but it costs around 120 dollars with the USD to Yen exchange rate right now :scared:

I can't make that call for you. Being that I'm a supreme cheapskate, lol, no really I never think "LCE's" or whatever are worth it. In this case, for 69.99, I think it's well worth it. The little Top Gear book is very nice. The codes for all the extra cars and the cars that will be gifted to you during the life of the game and the rest is well worth the extra cash, IMO.

Now if I was paying 120 bucks for it HELL NO, unless the regular copy is 100 + where you're at. But that's me. As interested as I was in the GT5 LCEs in the end I just didn't think it was worth it. So worth is all relative.

I'm enjoying the game immensely. Man this is digital crack for me. lol. Wife over here making fun of me "Look at you, you're like a little kid". I was trying my best to downplay my excitement for getting the game home and playing but I guess I need to work on that more.
 
So, here is what I don't understand. If they won't give you the M coupe card, does that mean that they must have to pay something for each card given out? They must inventory them some how, or there must be some sort of incentive for them?
 
Hm, I don't know if it was like this before; but I'm doing career on expert and the AI in the lead always seems to just completely miss a corner and fly off track randomly almost every other race.

The first time it happened I thought the AI "cracked" under pressure and kind of just went off, thought that was cool, but now it's just getting ridiculous. It's like they died inside the car and just go straight out to ditch it.

haha i remember that happening in 3...it was funny to watch the replays.
 
GT5 did something simular at first, but they patched it out. I don't think it was has bad as every race, but I remember AI doing some brain dead stuff also. If people make too much of a fuss t10 might tweak it also i'd expect.

I guess I could justify the extra 13 bucks or so...
 
It just hit me how easy it would be to get a free copy of a preordered game. All I had to tell them was my name and zip code and it was mine...

I mean, I know friends who have preordered the game. I know what town they live in. Most times I've been asked for my phone number as well, but today I wasn't. Again, not some secretive info...Should definitely stick to having your receipt, a unique code on a card (also sent in an email), something like that.
 
Aren't they handing you physical copies of the receipts, which you have to turn in to get the game?

Yeah, but call it "Forza 4 consumer's discussion." I was gonna say that earlier, but this is a general thread so, I'm not sure about it.
 
I was not offered the season pass at Gamestop, I can buy it on xbl?
