As for my opinion, I prefer the 996. I love 996 Porsches in general, people tend to dislike them because of the headlights but I don't. Does anyone know when the next part of the list will drop? Are they doing the reveals every week or random?

My guess is we'll see the same thing as FH3: a news outlet gets an exclusive 24h head start, and then the list shows up on the official site. Weekly updates seem most likely, but they'll probably be smaller than this one. My guess is around 50 or so.
Eh, that sucks. At least I have it in Forza Horizon 3. I'll propably be trading/selling Forza 6 when I get 7 so I'm kinda sad about any car going away. They give me reason not to get rid of the game, despite the fact that I'll be playing the new one only. :/
Well, if FM5 (2013) had the 2013 Lotus E21, and FM6 (2015) had the 2015 Lotus E23, the next in the pattern is the 2017 Renault R.S.17. Same team, still nicely branded with Microsoft logos.
Haas are also sponsored by Microsoft in 2017, but I think it would be too optimistic to hope for 2 F1 cars.
I'm pretty happy with the first reveal, nothing that blows my mind but that's how I expected it. I'm happy with the new racecars they've added. I know they're just different liveries for cars we already had, but I like it much more when they are 'official', instead of having to use paints that had been created, no offence to those creating.
Microsoft Surface are a personal sponsor of Romain Grosjean, which is why their logo appears on the Haas.
Microsoft Dynamics is a team sponsor and/or technology partner of Renault (and Lotus before that) which explains why we got Lotus E21/23 cars in previous titles.
I would say there is a pretty good chance there will be more considering it would seem odd to unveil every car from the featured manufacturer in the first list.
Dan teased a race car reveal, so hopefully we'll see the 917 there along with some other sports cars from that era.
I posted this in the general thread, probably more suited for this thread..
So I quickly decided to take all the confirmed cars to so far, and add all the of the Forza 6 cars and Forza Horizon 3 cars to get a closer look at what the final list will be. I took out all the Forza edition/Fast & Furious cars from FM6 as well as all of the HE's from the Horizon List.
Note that I did not take out the buggies and off-road vehicles from FH3 (which certainly could be cut for FM7, this includes things like the Ford Ranger Rally Raid, Mini Countryman Raid, Alumi Craft Class 10 etc). I also left all of the Formula E, NASCAR, IndyCar and V8 Supercars from FM6 in there, all of which will most likely be updated for FM7. Somehow I don't think there'll be 24 NASCARS day one in FM7 but I guess we'll see. Either way here is the list..

I didnt include some of the leaked Horizon stuff like (Porsche #4 917LH and Jensen Interceptor 1993 #1 T100 Baja Truck) as although it is likely to appear, I don't wanna jinx it. There are probably some omissions or mistakes so feel free to amend them.
I'm not sure what the final total comes too and how close it comes too 700, (it might even be over 700) but again I included stuff that most likely will be cut/rearranged/updated. Either way it's looking very impressive, no other game this generation comes close and of course I expect Turn 10 to have quite a few new rides ready to go for these car reveals.
I hope Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Honda, Subaru, Renault, Volkswagen, Lexus, Alfa Romeo & Toyota have some new metal. Those manufacturers in particular I think have been lacking this generation. But those are minor nitpicks in what is the closest thing we'll get to a GT-Encyclopedia style game this gen.
Just think, we could have the 917K, the 917LH, the 917/10 and 917/30... they're all different enough to warrant their inclusion. There's so much Porsche history to choose from, if I was in charge at T10 there'd probably be something like 75 Porsches.
From what I can see the GT1 Porsche is nowhere to be found, they give us the street version instead. Could be some licensing problem due to livery. I was very happy to found out that they are keeping the 2015 919 though, despite having the newer version.
The 911 GT1 in FM6 is perhaps the worst modelled car in any of the Forza games for Xbox One. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the reason it probably got replaced.

Pretty sure the Dunlop 962C is actually from '88. That was the year the factory team split with Rothmans and adopted this asymmetrical livery with Dunlop on the right and Shell on the left.
I´m really happy with the carlist so far, excited to have the F40 Competizione back and the F50 GT too, glad to see Porsche in the main game with jewells like the Cayman GT4 and 993 GT2, Lambos and Mclaren have everything I want except the Mclaren F1 LM and Diablo SE30.
Irregular proportions. All I can remember now is that the taillights are oversized on the FM6 model. Not off by much but enough to give the car a slightly different character. Another thing, it also lacked top speed on its default setup.
Most likely. It's not very well known that there are only 2 GT1 "Straßenversion"'s with 993 headlamps; Prototype 1 & 2 in '96. The remaining road cars were influenced by the '97's changes: 996 headlamps and more thorough aero work.
It's funny though, that the '96/'97 body style always seems to be passed over for the '98 body which as evident by your pictures, took on a much more dramatic design. Even PCars 2 seems have to picked it over the '96/'97 car.
