Isn't the formula drift pack free for people who pre-ordered fh4 digital ? The game prompt me to buy it ...

+ Rivals are broken.

Yesterday the Team from Turn 10 annouced some new feautres and the roadmap for FM7:

  • They are reworking the crash system, your car will no longer bounce when colliding with other people

  • They will implement a "Crash-Assist", which prevents you to be completely crashed out at Turn 1

  • Race regulations are on their way

  • Painters will get to choose lighting, background etc. in the new paint space

  • The physics will now be calculated differently, the tire modell has been overhauled and will lead to a much more relaistic feel

  • The current FFB System will be dumped completely (it has only been calculated with the tires, not the car) and will be replaced by a new physics based system that now uses the tires, the road surface, springs and Axles to calculate the FFB

  • They want to rework the slipstream system

  • They will implement more in terms of drifting, drag racing and lobbies. They wanted to see how much the community wants these features, and have been suprised by the huge ammount of players (more than 60%) that have played with these new features

  • They have realised that their competitors ("which dont have 'Motorsport' in their name") are better at it and they want to make Forza great again with all its formats [That could be a hint at qualifying, strategies and more]

  • Lootboxes will be removed completely next month and will be replaced by a dealer that changes its stock every 6 minutes)

  • Work on a new game has not been started yet, they have a roadmap for FM7 which covers the next 2-3 years

Well that sounds a little promising for future dlc/Expansions since they want to build this game for another year or two...just a little. And it almost definitely says that FM8 will be pushed a further year out from 2019. Let's see what happens, I guess we must remain patient still and hope they address issues that keep either arising or that have been left unchecked like gear shift animations and correct car sounds.

It appears that experimentation is going to define FM7 for the remainder of this console generation, which to me sounds like they will be road testing stuff on the drawing board for next generation Forza. Also great to hear that Turn 10 is finally realizing they haven't been up to speed on the latest standards in sim-racing.

It's pretty much safe to assume there are going to be no new instalments of Motorsport or Horizon this generation (if anything, they will have ports of games primarily developed for the next gen, like Horizon 2). I think that's the best step to take since I can't see much more being done to the Motorsport series which warrants a new title on current platforms, plus the next Horizon was destined to be released in the next decade regardless.

What's reassuring for owners of current games is that both games should hopefully have lifespans which exceed a year. 👍

Hello, I'm interested in buying Forza 7-PC, but first I'm testing on a non-original that I downloaded (full version with all DLC) to see if it works on my PC (windows 10-Pro, i7-fourth generation, 16gb RAM, GeForce Nvidia GTX 960). But when I try to run the file to open the game, it gives error 0xc000007b ... I've tried everything I've seen YouTube, installed AIO-Runtimes files, bundles of files to fix errors, reinstall directx, Visual C ++. I'm afraid to buy the game, and can not solve this problem. Has anyone had something similar, and managed to solve? Thank you very much in advance...

Three things to change IMO:
-lighting! it makes the game dull, flat. There is something off, I don't want a realistic lighting but at least something beautiful and colorful. Maple Valley looks bad because of the trees and this flat lighting. And even if Forza Horizon is a 30 fps game with less cars on track, I can't believe they share the same engine;
-attention to detail: from the pit cutscene to the wheel and gear change animations. A lot of work is needed. I like the shaking parts but more subtle...;
-more grip for race cars. Huge spoiler but slides non stop.

All in all, I wish the best to Turn 10, the last game to offer a "true" Gran Turismo.

And to add to the attention to detail, CORRECT ENGINE/EXHAUST NOTES! Im sure they know there's several dozen cars in game that sound flat out incorrect or just bad. Examples include almost half of the Ferrari's , the Lamborghini aventadors, many of the 4 cyl hatches, a few of the skylines including the R31 skyline super silhouette, various muscle cars that have generic v8 sounds, the Ford GT gtlm, the new xr4ti imsa racer , and several more.

2-3 years as someone above, seems to imply we’ll need to wait for the next console gen for the next game. But, hopefully if T10 insists on going that deep at reworking the game, more tracks/cars will come to keep people playing so they can see those changes as they take effect.

Major props to them, though. The game would be left to fade for the next installment long ago by this point.

Given that you've got 16Gb RAM, I'm assuming you're running a 64-bit version of Windows. Have you got DX12 drivers for your graphics card? Sometimes there are issues with the files as they download, so try uninstalling the demo and reinstalling it, that may work.

The plans T10 have made sound really, REALLY exciting! I'm so so glad they are planning to rework Forza 7 and make it something BIG, while saving FM8 for the next generation of consoles.

I think I said this before, but T10's competitors don't seem to be planning to make any new titles either, so this should keep T10 at calm. The more features, fixes and content, the better.

I always knew that T10 and PG have exceeded their games this generation. So hearing news has me excited. :)

Yes, my windows 10 (Pro) is 64 bits..I have the 12 direcxt installed..but it's giving this problem..so I'm afraid to buy the original, and stick with this problem ...

Couple of quick things I've noticed about this update that was fixed or improved:
- it seems as if there's slightly better car and track details.
- they definitely added a few details and made some tweaks to Daytona speedway
- the AI seems to drive a lot better at least when there's no collisions present. I had a hard time climbing from the bottom with several different races over different divisions where I would normally gradually take over the top spots. They seems to drive cleaner, faster, and less mistakes
- there was a bug on road America where when AI cars went around that carousel part, I think turn 7 or 8, they would mostly all fly off the field into the grass...that's gone now. Thank God

I'm sure there is a middle ground between the "boring" sounds of Gran Turismo and the everything sounds like a NASCAR engine in Forza.

Well, is it supposed to be here? ...I thought that this will be a reward car for one of the rivals event

Looking forward to these items. I hope they can pull it off and make it finally useful to play with a wheel.

Does any of this include an IndyCar expansion pack ?
