Not to be THAT guy, but I'm stoked for the S14. Aventador? Meh. Just another hypercar that'll end up gathering dust in my collection. As for the 911, it should be fun tearing up Mugello in that thing. 👍
 
Yay 997 GT3RS. Now I just need the Lotus 340R and the 991 GT3RS to be truly happy. I wish we could import our locked liveries from past games, that way I wouldn't have to redo the paintjob I have on my S14 in FH3, but oh well.

And just as I expected, the new VIP bonus combined with the old VIP mod cards ends up being absolutely ludicrous. I tested it by doing a 20 lap race around Suzuka in the GT-R FE (50% bonus and 50% bonus at Suzuka, so effectively 100% more CR) with 3 VIP mod cards (300%) and the AI set to unbeatable (another 100% CR) which netted me 700,000CR in just about 40 minutes, or just about 35,000CR per lap...
 
Wasn’t that one of their inspirations for this game? I thought I saw something about car collecting like Pokémon.

One of the heads of Turn 10 used to work on Pokémon or something similar. I’m pretty sure I also read that this is where they got the inspiration from.
 
I just had a strange race where me and the whole field got slaughtered by 1 car. An Audi TT its fastest lap was almost 5 seconds faster than mine and the other A.I and it finished 30 seconds clear of 2nd place.
EDIT: during the next race pace was normal and he finished 4th

What a relief. The VIP double credits will make life easier now. :)

The game feels more stable. Played some online races last night and not a single crash. They were quite common. (Playing on the xbone)

Sorry but the 2x credits does not help a bit. I did 1 test with 30 laps Daytona.

Before the latest patch
30 laps credits was 48k
Drivatar difficulty unbeatable 48k
so total 96k

After the patch
30 laps credits is 32k
Drivatar difficulty unbeatable 32k
VIP bonus credits 32k
So total 96k

But when you are racing the ai with a level lower than unbeatable you get less credits than before!
And also you get less credits from bonus cards as it is a percentage of the base credits awarded!

I hope somebody has the game without the VIP pass and want to do 30 laps Daytona Oval and let us know how much the base credits are. It would be something if a person without VIP gets more credits than owners of the VIP pass.......

I was literally just looking at that. But everyone else in that thread had not noticed anything different with payments. I wouldn't be surprised if he forgot he had a mod applied for that race or something like that.

I think they must not know what they are talking about.

10 laps on Daytona paid 17k before the patch pays 17k now + 17k Vip and of course in both cases the difficulty bonus and any mods or vip car bonus added to that.

In other words there does not seem to be any change in race pay out at all, just the +100% VIP bonus
 
Maybe they cut money for Daytona? I've been rushing though the cups starting last night and i was getting 10k for 2 laps and now im geting a Pacer (20k) every race.

I still have never gotten to drive a GT3 in any "sim" game of any kind, the only game I ever had one at all was FH3, and that was just 2 months ago. Very excited.

I'm looking forward to a ridiculous race payout or two. I have 2 VIP cards, for 3 total uses left, plus a cool rare mod that offers 80% and 1,500xp.
I don't get to play enough to make 2m a week for specialty dealer cars without the bonus.

I think it's identical.
2 laps @ Sarthe pays 20K, and that's right at par with before.

The one thing I've learned about T10 and FM as a whole, is that people will literally find nothing, and turn it into some kind of anti-T10/FM crap.
Whether it's imagining MT's, imagining lower payouts (to force me to buy VIP! no doubt) or whatever else.

These guys just can't "win".
All the complaints of FM7 economy being too easy, followed by complaints that anything not-so-easy is "forcing microtransactions", I've learned not to believe a damn thing said about these games without seeing it myself first.
 
Is anyone else having issues loading tunes?

For starters I can only get 8 to load at a time, every other tune is shown as being unavailable. And if I try loading a tune from the event screen it will say it's illegal even if it is legal.

Than even when I load a tune off the Rivals leaderboard it says it's illegal for the event.

I really do like FM7, but I'm also glad I only went for the standard version as there are quite a few bugs that make no sense.

Don’t bother loading tunes from the pre-race area in Rivals. If you can load them from the main menu instead you should be okay.

Thanks, that worked. Kind of annoying you have to back out to the main menu just to load a leaderboard tune, but at least there is a workaround.

It's either not there, or very well hidden.

Or if you're lazy like me just keep on racing with the design and after three or four(?) races the option to like the design or tune you're using will automatically come up during gameplay.
 
Yesterday, I raced my Sauber C9 on La Sarthe against other Endurance cars and there was chaos at the first turn. Half the grid somehow got into a huge pileup and I couldn't avoid it. I would show it, but my dvr for some reason hasn't been able to record anything from FM7. Not even screenshots and I know it's now the DVR, because I'm still able to get screenshots from Project Cars 2.
 
Has anyone else run into an issue where if you're in a party chat with your friend and go to multiplayer, the voice chat will switch over to the game instead of the party? Me and my friend have had this issue a lot and fix it by selecting "switch to game chat" then select "switch to party chat". Not sure if this was intentional by T10 or if it's a bug.
 
BIG FAT PAYDAY ! I just got finished with 10 laps at Nurburgring Nordschleife in the BMW M4 Forza Edition. I got some great times including my best of 7:50.605 !!! 10 laps took 1hr and 20min, and earned 170,000 plus more than quadruple that in bonus's for 883,000! I leveled up 4 times, (passed on the Ferrari 59XX for 1.1 mil, but took '95 BMW M5, MB C63, Nissan GT-R race car) and am now over driver level 200. Next up is the Ferrari F50. I had to pass on the 59XX, I had just levelled up to take the Koenigsegg One. The BMW M4 FE is un-tuned and yeah I have some of the assists on. I had tire damage and fuel on as well. FYI the beemer can go 4 laps before it needs a pit for fuel. Simulated fuel consumption??? That's just over 50 miles for 1 tank of gas! Uh Hello? TURN 10?? Can we make that a little more REAL LIFE ???

Great, but if you want to cut your time and get fairly equal credits, run the FE Camaro @ LaSarthe for five laps, about 25 minutes or so.
 
Just did The Sebring 300 enduro..

Gave me 600k Cr. and 9 level ups in allmost 3 hours.
