So, downloaded these after work and have just watched. Will start by saying I haven't seen any other versions of these vids that do them justice. These are a significant step above the quality of the other vids. You really see the game in all it's glory. The visual fidelity is absolutely staggering, it's flawless. It's a step above what I have seen in the GTS beta on the same TV. I still think GTS has the edge when it comes to lighting, although the final sequence down the straight at Nurburgring when the sun is setting pushes it very close. GTS also has the edge when it comes to material textures.for those with HDR sets, do yourselves a favor and download proper footage from gamersyde:

However, I return to the visual fidelity, it's so clean and so crisp, flawless is the best word to describe it.
What's your point? But it is being showcased on an Xone-X, right? It's got much more oomph than a PS4 Pro. If Sony makes a system like that, I'm sure it can easily surpass Forza's visuals.
What's your point?
You compared it to GTS - a game running on an inferior system. That is the point.
We are all aware of that. Still I ask, what is your point? I was making an observation. Why did you feel the need to jump in and defend when I wasn't attacking? You compared it to GTS - a game running on an inferior system. That is the point.

Honestly that is one of the major problems around here. Just chill. Some games do some things better than others. There is nothing wrong with that.
Go back and read what I said. If I was trying to make an unfair comparison why would I highlight that GTS did lighting and material textures better which you conveniently missed out when you quoted me? In fact the part you quoted made no mention of GTS yet you did. And it is a Forza 7 discussion, hence why I was discussing how fantastic Forza 7 looked in true 4k and HDR. If you want to turn this into a this versus that discussion go right ahead but leave me out of it.I think you misunderstood, so forget about and you chill.
Isn't the thread "Forza 7 pre-release discussion" anyway?
You made a somewhat unfair comparison and I merely pointed it out. Wasn't trying to step on any nerves there.

Back on topic. I've watched the vids a handful of times again each and I implore everyone to watch them. Even if that means putting them on a memory stick and popping down to your local tv store and sneakily sticking the memory stick in usb port of a compatible tv! You won't be disappointed.
It's hard to put your finger on what it is that makes it better. For me PDi, as they always have, just seem to have a bit of magic when it comes to lighting and when that is combined with their superior material textures (which I think comes from doing all of their modelling in house) it just makes everything look more real and believable. This is particularly evident in cloudy conditions for me. It just looks more real than other games. That said FM is getting closer. FM always looked a little more vibrant and, for want of a better word, cartoony. However, looking at the Dubai video and the sinking sun shot at Nurburgring in particular T10 have made huge strides in their lighting engine and are now very close to PDi.@PzR Slim I still dont have a GTS beta invite, which means I only go by checking out videos (mainly) and impressions (selected), not unlike I do for FM7.
So, having seen pretty much the main bulk of whatever footage is availble, I think that while there can be very favorable comparisons for GTS regarding its presentation -and of course- replays over forza 7,
when we get to runtime I think its another deal.
that same site, Gamersyde, has put up great quality direct footage of the latest version of GTS, later than the beta according to polyphony on e3 showfloor, and in my opinion, during runtime , a.k.a. playtime, I just don't see it favorable over forza7. Can you elaborate what you find makes it better in lighting and materials? Runtime though, not replay stuff nor presentation.

Ah,thanks,i missed it somehow..Going to try it tonight when house is sleeping

ABGRAPHICS setting the mood here 8)
Correct, the others are showcars. And only the Ford is a real car i think
I hope they fix the interior lights in night time. Forza 6 had a serious problem with the lights of the dash and instruments. Some cars like the LPM,GT2,... instruments didn't even have a light. Forza horizon 3 was the best in this. The light from the dashboard gave actually light and it reflected on shiney materials. like this

irrelevant to this, but revelant to your music in-game:This integration of your Onedrive music into the virtual environment (over the grandstand speakers) sounds like an incredibly neat touch.
