Yes, they did, but last year I'm pretty sure FH3 was the only proper racing game at E3 so it wasn't even a question they were gonna win.

This year there was lots of competition as all big franchises announced a game, but they still managed to pull through and win it!

Pretty sure Mario Kart for the Switch was at E3 last year.

Mario Kart is honestly the biggest competition for racing games at these kinds of events as critics usually lean towards it.

maybe on Friday first cars,as Ekberg doing his column on Fridays

Hm. I'd bet on either this or next Tuesday - for the last two games they've separated car announcements under the "Forza Garage" column, which always came out on Tuesday. Plus, it's also likely that we'll get a new DLC on the same date - and they could just put the new DLC cars (or at least, those that will make the jump to FM7 - if the leaks are anything to go by, probably all of them) in the list.

Pretty sure they started with car reveals for FM6 in July?

EDIT: yup, Forza Garage started June 30th 2015 for FM6, and July 20th 2016 for FH3 which, however, had a smaller car list.
Ah, the reveals started on June 30th, I kept thinking it was July for some reason (well, it's close).

I going to guess that we'll start seeing reveals soon, probably at a higher car rate than last year since there's more cars to showcase.

So, I know it's a tad early to discuss ideas for possible racing events, but who here would be interested in a LeMons championship on FM7? Idea is simple; buy a beater car, tune it, race it, and hope it won't fall apart mid-race. All on a budget! :D
Assuming all FH3 cars return in FM7, we'll have plenty of junkers to choose from. 👍

I hate to be that guy, but the game isn't really rich in true junkers (most disresputable models featured in Forza are pictured in their top tier); and besides, I don't see T10 implementing things like old jalopies overheating and grenading the engine within a few laps, or losing body panels left right and center. Although the lack of unpredictability could be resolved by a) promoting or mandating poor tuning, b) adopting a very lenient stance on contacts (which would be needed, because if you're driving a Monte with busted suspensions and brakes, you WILL end up plowing someone in a corner) and c) closing off the pitlane. The result would be more akin to a demolition derby, tho.

On the other hand, if we're truly getting a Citroen 2CV in FH3 (as recent leaks seem to suggest), and if it's making the transition to FM7...

...this will have to become a thing.

:banghead:
Still just July.... :D
News is thin on the ground and will be for a few weeks at least. Gamescom (late August) is the next big info dump but if we're lucky we will learn about car inclusions some time in July.

So, is anyone else going to treat this like a Gran Turismo game? As in, limit yourself to like 15,000cr., buy a first car, win races with it, buy or unlock a better car, etc.?
Because I'm definitely going that route, especially with the new revamped career mode they've been teasing.

I'm just excited we'll have the option to run Porsches from the get go in normal career. 👍

That's what I plan doing. I'll probably keep track of my winnings without whatever bonuses they give as well (not sure if I'll even include the VIP bonus if payouts are like FM6).

I also want to earn twice the value of every car I get. I planned on doing this for FH3 but that game got boring before I could get very far.

I so wanna rematch you on getting max affinity with every manufacturer (assuming that's still going to be a thing). We had such a close battle until my save corrupted. :grumpy:

That was a bummer!! I don't think I'll be much of a competition now though, I've had a new job for a year now. Shift work working 7 days straight at a time, 50-60 hours a week average. I don't have the time to game like I used to, but I have the money to buy nice things I want so it's a good trade off.

Dang dude, good for you! :)

I thought each version has their own disc.

Well... The Xbox One and Xbox One X versions are actually the same (in fact, there's no such thing as an "Xbox One X version", all you get if you play X1X-enhanced games on the "proper" platform is a 4k/HDR patch). And I don't think the PC eversion even comes on a disk.

I hope they release a demo by August or early September at the latest, if not earlier.

IIRC they released a demo for all their Xbox One titles (with the exception of FM5, for obvious reasons) two weeks before the "early access" date - that'd put the release of FM7's pre-launch demo in mid-September.

Nope, The XBox One X is not a new console gen, it is a beefed up XBox One. It fully supports all your XBox One games and will have no exclusive titles that require you to upgrade your Xbox One to an XBox One X. The PC version is digital only but comes with the Play Anywhere program so you get access to the game on all platforms.

  • If you buy the game digitally anywhere, it'll work on all 4 platforms.
  • If you buy a disc it'll work on Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X.
  • No matter which version you play, you can play online against owners of the other versions.
  • If you own a digital version, your DLC and game saves can be used on all platforms.

Forza Rewards is going to spoil it for me... lol.

Problem is we don't even know what the pre-order cars will be (if there is any), the VIP DLC Pack cars, or the F&F 8 cars (if they are F&F 8 cars after all). After E3 there is always a news drought that last weeks, but this time is quite serious compared with other titles. By this date back in 2015 many details were already known about FM6, including the first Forza Garage reveal...

I'm guessing they started the reveals for FM6 earlier simply because there was more new cars to unveil for the base game. FM7 on the other hand will be mostly cars from FM6 with a chunk of new ones. I wouldn't be surprised to see them start in a week or two though.

Indeed, if we are to compare to Forza Motorsport 6 we're missing quite a few things this far into the news cycle.

I find it odd in particular that VIP/Deluxe/Ultimate bundles have been announced with content not being defined. I don't pre-order games anyway but if I did that would put me off doing so as it would be foolish to buy something without knowing its contents.

So, how many folks here plan to get a 4K/HDR TV for Forza 7?
I've already got a high end Samsung, just need an Xbox One X to go with it ;)
