Lag and motion blur are basically non existant at 4K,while i still can see some on my older monitor rated at 4ms at 1080P :D
TV feels much smoother, but no wonder-pc monitors uses 5-6year old panels, while TV's usually using newest ones,or at least not that old.

That's interesting to know. My Sony LCD TV from late 2008/early 2009 has zero lag, but naturally there's blur if I really start to notice and nitpick really. At 60 fps though, not so much, but still nowhere as crisp as what you used to see on Plasma back in the day or good old HD-ready CRT TVs.

Being VA panel,lag/response are very good

Some I the cool stuff will be fe.ale avatars driving the Nissan Altima, Bentley GT3 and X-Bow GT4 cars, among many other racing machines.

What's a VA panel? I'm struggling to place the abbreviation but can't!

http://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/ips-led-vs-va-lcd if that helps :)
Basically VA has little worse viewing angles, but im not sure if you playing games on it while watching at your TV from side :D Also VA has way better blacks (you dont want, lets say tires, look grey, when they are black),VA has way better contrasts, sharpness, and you want exactly this from you TV,monitor.VA only can be beaten by OLED's,but they prices are..well,BIG :D I will get one when they become more mainstream

Oldie,but goodie :D
You not thinking of moving to 4k?

A real goodie, I love it. Was a highly sought after model at the time.

Well, I just don't have the budget mate - if I could, I might make a swift move to 4K, but at the moment, I'm much more interested in getting a true 7.1 surround sound system.

RTings do great advice on TVs:

The TV I have is still very good (Samsung KS8000) but as a 2016 model it's hard to find them now. If you do though the price has come down a fair bit.
Unfortunately amazon.co.uk don't even sell the winning C7 over here. They only sell the B7 range instead. Curry's do sell it however with prices beginning at £2.5k.

I bought a similar but cheaper TV to yours (JU series) in 2015. As ever I wished I'd waited a year or two.

The B7 is the same exact television as the C7, except for a little different cosmetic items. The stand is different and I think it has a silver bezel instead of a black one like the C7. Other than that it's exactly the same, and every bit as good as the C7.

I know because I just bought an LG C7, and researched all their models.

In fact all their televisions use the same display panels, you're not losing anything getting the "entry grade", C7/B7, or last years B6. The only difference is some of them are glass on glass, cosmetics, and the pricier models come with soundbars. Same display, input lag etc, on all the 2017 LG OLED models.

While we're on the subject, best possible panel one can get these days would be an OLED, correct?

That's what the link says.

However as far as I can see they cost upwards of fifteen hundred pounds (for last year's model).

I was keen to invest in one of the new Sony A1 TV's, unfortuantely the missues doesn't think £3,500 on a TV is worth it so it's a no go... For now.

An absolute bargain, ha ha.

I'm willing to bet even @Speedster911 would be impressed with the set's acoustic surface tech which uses the entire screen as a speaker.

OLED's a incredibly nice,as well as incredibly pricey..As all new tech. For that money you can get very good "normal" 4K TV and very VERY good sound system. And you probably still have money left,so you can bring your missus to some nice dinner ;)

Anyone else would like to see an option to turn damage off completely? You can do that in Horizon 3 (and the first one too, didn't play second but it's propably there too) so why not? Sometimes, especially when driving a Ferrari or other expensive car I just don't want to see it all beat up which is often inevitable with the AI.

Nope, the only options are Simulation, Fuel & Tires (with visual damage) or Visual Only. Not sure why no damage at all is only an option on the Horizon side.

The community needs to come up with an excuse for you. ;)

Oh I like the sound of that. :D I'm not much of a TV speaker guy though; been using an amp since the SNES days.

But wait.. 3500 quids, did I read that right? For a TV?! Well... blimey mateys!

Just a theory - maybe they want to encourage clean driving a little more (as opposed to Horizon) so the less ugly your car looks, perhaps the more people will be encouraged to drive clean? Was I close?

Must be seeing things then, going to check all Forzas..getting old not helping my memory :D

There is an option in Forza Horizon games to remove cosmetic damage when taking a photograph, but it's not made its way over to Motorsport yet.

Don't feel too bad, I had to fire up FM6 just to check for myself as I had no clue what the options were.

Hope some more info soon because the release is not that far........

It is kind of weird how quiet both T10 and PD have been about their games since E3. I think we could see more info about FM7 this week though as they could do 75 cars a week for Forza garage and get done a week before early access.

I'm just wanting to see some more info on career mode and what options there will be for online lobbies.

Strange for Turn 10, not for PD. Polyphony are notorious for lack of communication. The lack of it from Turn 10 is strangely getting me nervous.
