Fully agree, and to me it looks like they are going for geographic diversity as well: excluding the fantasy tracks we are currently at 13 tracks with three more to be announced:
- 5 of these are in the United States: and so far none in the same state and all quite different in nature.
- Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Indiana)
- Laguna Seca (California
- Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (Ohio)
- Road America (Wisconsin)
- Virginia International Raceway (Virginia)
- 6 of these are in Europe
- Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Spain)
- Circuit de Spa Francorchamps (Belgium)
- Le Mans - Circuit International de la Sarthe (France)
- Mugello Circuit (Italy)
- Nürburgring GP (Germany
- Silverstone Circuit (England)
- 1 of these is in Japan: Suzuka
- 1 of these is in South Africa: Kyalami
We currently do not have 1 country of US State with 2 tracks and everything looks quite geographically spread out. Based on this I wouldn't be surprised if the remaining ones are Bathurst, Abu Dhabi and something in either Florida (Sebring or Daytona) or Texas (COTA) to continue this trend.
In the end 20 tracks is not a lot, but knowing that all tracks will have day/night and weather, plus knowing more tracks will come (for free), it will be a great way to start things of.
Even though I think it's a rather good pack, I can extend some criticism to an extent. The Acura and Audi are still in the car list on Forza.net which and were both shown in trailers which gives the impression that they are holding these cars back. And when you look at the model years, these BTCC and IMSA GTD cars are already quite old and mostly if not all replaced by newer machinery.
Anyway, very much looking forward to getting my hands on these
