He meant "The Forza Motorsport game of this generation".
I was moreso referring to the fact that lopping a number off a title doesn’t mean there won’t be sequels, though in Forza’s case I wouldn’t mind.

Focus BTCC will be part of regular roster along various TCR cars, TCR will have new-to-motorsport cars like the Hyundai TCR, the Lynk TCR, the Golf TCR and probally the MG TCR

Also considering the newer BTCC cars are exclusive to someone else, i dont doubt the owners of such near-new/before 2019 cars raised the prices of licenses to other people knowing they would get money with it
So the Focus is on the list you sent:

...and also on the DLC list? 🤣

Which is it?

(TCR doesn't come close to BTCC sadly)

New cars:

2018 Audi RS 5 Coupé
1997 BMW M3
1926 Bugatti Type 35 C
2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale

Launch day car list is up to 288 cars now, with 9 being DLC and five previously removed cars with unknown status.

Looks like another 212 to 270 cars to go.

I wonder when the Roma and the 296 will make it into the game.

Also there seems to be a complete lack of SUVs and Offroaders (including rally cars). I personally wouldn't mind SUVs, but RX cars and old rally specials need to be there. I wonder what the Stellantis situation is like. For Toyota, they did announce that they were coming to future forza games, while FCA Italy/Stellantis got a "retuning to FH5"

I fully expect newer GT3 cars to drop in post launch for free, while "special" or "alternate" versions go into DLC. It seems like DLC cars will be more Obscure/less mainstream options if the car pass from FH4 and FH5 are anything to go by.

Looking a lot better now, and not even sure if RT is on yet going by the 'cars reflect of of other cars' feature I'm not sure if that happens in this build, hard to see.

Can anyone advise on VIP, will it be worth paying for - it seemed less compared to VIP in Horizon games, but maybe that 2x credits will make it better if anyone's worked it out now we know more about the game? Or is paying for that 'cheating'?

I still feel like there will be some SUV's, 4x4's and trucks, but only the ones that make sense. They're trying to refrain from adding oddball cars though. Although SUV's and trucks aren't my thing, I'm fine with them, and I believe they will feel better to drive with the new physics. If they won't be there at launch, they would most certainly be as part of updates whenever they're ready.

Rally cars and offroad racing cars are currently out of the question for now due to a lack of rally tracks, but it's not impossible when that happens.

They've been quiet about it, suggesting that the Italian Stellantis brands will probably need to wait a little longer for when they return to Motorsport.

I think the Race Day Car Pack and the entire Car Pass plan will be the only paid DLC for now, with new cars and tracks continuously being added for free through game updates, in the same style as GT Sport and GT7, and to an extent, FH4 and FH5. I also expect several returning cars from past games to be added this way as well.

RT doesn't seem to be on, no ORVMs are reflecting the car body, and no opponent cars are reflecting on the player car or vice versa.

2x credits will significantly remove the grind to purchase a car, especially since the car prices are lowered to less than a million, for the most expensive cars. Car XP will still be the same. It might be worth it.

Where i live, Premium costs only 30% more than than base game on Steam, so it is definitely worth it, considering Car pass, and day one car pack.

Also that footage with extreme overexposure gives me FM4 nostalgia:

They should also refrain from concepts. The Q60 Concept cannot be in the FM Reboot.
Why can't it be? Besides, I like a few concept cars here and there. Just so long as it doesn't get to the extent of vision gt or whatever that one is called.

Source for these new Cars? Please

Haha I felt the same way watching the video, the game probably won't be overexposed like that but it was a nice throwback even if unintentional.

Vision GT cars can be OK if they aren't too spaced out and ridiculous. Lightning bolts powering cars while you sit in a Tron motorcycle position was a joke. Plus give them a reason to exist. The BMW, Nissan, Mini, Subaru, Suzuki, Audi and Honda are examples of cars that aren't too crazy and could be fun if there were purposeful races just for them. Some of those vision cars are wacky though and defy the normal laws of physics. That's where I draw the line personally.

Yeah, looking forward to official 4K screen recorded footage to see things properly.

Hoping they take inclusion to the next level, features designed to help visually impaired people will help everyone - be good if we can have all things on dashboards directly on a (customisable) main screen HUD. Obviously a lot of work given how many different brands dashboards there will be, but even if just translated to a standardised HUD like the current speedometer/rev counter that covers them all. Third person camera view players would probably benefit most, although looking at this in-car gameplay I'd still struggle to read/find some of them.

I know that but the production Q60 has been out for years. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore. They need to seize that opportunity.

Sadly licensing seems to have made it more difficult. I know we can request it.

Agreed, the lack of numbering on this title tells me it is not only a reboot, but is THE Motorsport game for this generation.
They said many and many times that FM is suposed to be a new racing game plataform, like iRacing but a better subscription option and tracks for free hahahaha
Also there seems to be a complete lack of SUVs and Offroaders (including rally cars). I personally wouldn't mind SUVs, but RX cars and old rally specials need to be there.
They said they would lower the number of off-roaders, SUVs and so-called oddball racers, they already confirmed the limo wont be in the game, but some peformance SUVs and maybe some trucks will be in game but wont be that much
Great. It seems like the post launch content is gonna be pretty similar to Horizon games just without DLCs. We might get an occasional paid car pack like the one that just released in FH5. Plus no FOMO on new cars, as they will get released into the Builders Cup indefinitely, apparently.
They already said that would update the game campaning with new cars and tracks as time goes on, and assuming what i saw, the prizes will come on both as well, with it i assumed the tracks would be free

I hope this comes as i am imaginating based on info they said, and if this is true, it motivates PG to finnaly retire the actual festival playlist and make a similar thing for Horizon without annoying FOMO

Speak for yourself, I personally think that giving us a free car in Horizon every week for the tiny price of logging in for 30 minutes during that week is very generous.

They obviously have that model to ensure player numbers on Gamepass, to keep Microsoft happy. So just accept it and enjoy the free cars rather than moaning about something which just takes a few minutes of your time.

Edit: Sure, it would be good for them to release these playlist cars generally after a certain amount of time. Like Backstage in FH4 but better. I'm sure they will do something of that kind, probably a bit after FM2023 release.

I certainly hope so, the playlist really has gotten old for me at this point!

I'm guessing he's never played any From Software game?
Not to belabour the point, but they're considerably better designs.

Your eye is drawn to the big ol' game logo in the middle and then to the interface below it in an obvious triangle:
1692823143768.png

Look at something like Skyrim. Large game logo - this time centre-left - and a clear triangle (right-angled rather than isoceles) pointing toward the game menu.

1692823335270.png

Notice how the bottom of the menu aligns with the bottom of the logo? You've got clear pathways drawn in object placements. In both cases there's also a small version number and a wee legal disclaimer/dev logo in unintrusive places.

Gran Turismo 7. Two triangles converging on the "menu", with the logo top and centre and then an in-game news feed (more populated now) also centred:

1692823568745.png

Forza Horizon 5. Everything is down in the corner. You may as well draw an arrow on this one, marked "LOOK HERE"!

1692823709034.png

Now Starfield. Logo is right in the middle, which is good, but... what the fur-covered ****balls is going on with the alignment of everything else?

1692823828348.png

Nothing's aligned - the game menu isn't level with the logo at all, most obviously neither bottom nor middle but not top either. Then you're supposed to also look the other way and up to an also not-aligned information tile which is the largest single element on the screen (GT7's news section is larger as a whole, but each news story element is smaller than the logo), although it's not entirely clear why it is as - currently - it contains no actual information.

With those elements required for some reason, I'd do this to create a clear and continuous flow:

The info box is temporary.

The info box is temporary.
Then something as simple as aligning the menu vertically with the word "Starfield" would make it loads better.

What's the purpose of the infobox anyway? I'm not familiar with any of the game apart from the general impression of it being Fallout if it was No Man's Sky.

Great news! Where did you get this from?

EDIT: nevermind, poster above me showed it. :)

EDIT 2: looks like a SF90 spider

Oh thank god!!! The FOMO nonsense has been one of the things to demotivate me from playing Horizon, I hate that they would add content only to give you 1 week to get it or else it'll not be seen for weeks to possibly months.

Unlockable content imo should only be done through single player gameplay to where anyone can unlock the cars at their own pace.
