No relation to anything but the music in these track reveals is making me wonder if the in-race soundtrack is gonna be like this at all... If yes, oh boy am I down for this.

Why yes I listen to the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune soundtracks all the time how did you guess
It sounds a bit Rage Racer to me.

Yup. I swear some GT fans are more 'worried' about the new Forza than Forza fans lol.
That's probably because Forza Motorsport is GT's one real competitor, and given that GT7 falls flat in so many areas, they feel the need to tear down other racing games to save their own. Or something, I don't know with some people. Not saying FM can't also fall flat, but it's quite sad because both games will have their positives and negatives. Yet good old fanboy wars between 12 year olds and man children ruin any sort of gaming discussion (as we've seen numerous times in this very thread).

I haven't been keeping up, but where was this said?

Probably in reference to:

Anyway folks, remember to not feed the trolls. They love attention and will state things that are obviously incorrect just to bait you into correcting them. Bonus points if they feel they've made you mad.

Instead, why not get up, have a stretch, maybe a drink of water? It will make you feel better than trying to correct someone who is either intentionally wrong or cannot accept that they are wrong.

Nuff said. 👍

I've never had FH5 show the vehicle incorrectly, unlike FM7 where that happened 2 or 3 times in my 800+ car garage.
I did have the FH5 issue with blacked out windows and headlights on the car pictures, but that was recognised as a bug and fixed months ago. So you don't need to complain as if it's still a bug, since it's clearly been fixed.

But I will note that they haven't fixed 2 bugs on those car card pictures yet:
  1. If you look at the car cards on a Series X on a 4k screen, then some are higher resolution than others. It seems like only cards for cars which you are gifted and don't touch are truly 4k, whereas all others are only 1440p quality after being recreated (e.g. when changing paint or tune). This annoys me because I often sit quite close to a 4k screen when playing.
  2. Some cars are wrongly positioned or too small. Mostly this gets fixed if you recreate the car card picture, but not always (e.g. the Ferrari Challenge, Lambo Super Trofeo, Brabham and a few others).

In that respect, FH4 was best for me. The car cards were always correct and always the proper size and shape for me at least. I'd like FM2023 to be as good as that game please.

"So you don't need to complain as if it's still a bug, since it's clearly been fixed"

Yes sir/madam, I will do better...😂

Anyway... I still have cars that are modified, different colours etc, and they show a stock version of the car, or no car at all. It's got the name of the car, and it's blank.

I know the discussion about FH5's time limited car exclusivity system and whether that will apply to FM2023 was a few pages back, but here's my 2 pents.

T10 tried this with FM7 - IIRC they held back about 140 cars in the launch list of 700 for FM7 and tried to drip feed them in the Specialty dealer and limited time events like FH3's forzathon at the time.

It did not work at all. And all cars were made available sometime in 2019.

Now whether that's because game pass wasn't a big thing at the time, or that FM7 sold relatively poorly vs the Horizon titles or because the Motorsport audience isn't interested in that type of content delivery system (or another reason), idk. But it didn't work and T10 backpedalled.

So I highly doubt they'll try any FOMO stuff, IMO. Leave it to Horizon, where it's worked well for PG.

Plus, another huge reason to avoid FOMO in Motorsport - The new car levelling system.

Having to grind a few events a week to unlock a limited time car, only to then have to level it up if you want to use it in a Open series, would be too much IMO. People already complain a lot about Horizon's system, imagine adding the car levelling on top of that.

So the car levelling system IMO is where T10 can get some more game pass engagement - release a new car straight in to the buy cars menu and craft an Open Series Multiplayer, Builders Cup or Rivals event around it. And people trying to max level the car, would probably play a similar amount of time as they would grinding for a new car in FH5, just the reward is slightly different.

We'll see though.

People cry about it but it's the truth, nobody plays FM's splitscreen. If it was a fully featured Coop campaign, being able to compete in proper championships against AI or Online it would be one thing, but FM's splitscreen is the most barebones crap ever seen. I've tried FM7's splitscreen with a friend and it's 1 on 1 running at choppy 30 fps with all graphics turned down to the point where it looks and run like garbage and unless your friend plays Forza regularly he will have trouble driving properly. It's not fun for anyone, not like say Mario Kart where everyone can jump in and have fun regardless of their skill.

I think this thread is not that toxic, there is much worse on facebook pages and youtube videos, but i think it goes both ways, no matter if its gran turismo fans or forza fans, you rarely see many people like both, if you like both or prefer the other their is no reason to hate on the other
But thats mostly how it goes down, when forza motorsport releases it will be toxic i can promise that, i dont see why that has to happen each time, i prefer gran turismo but also love forza, forza motorsport releasing is good thing becouse that could make gran turismo to do better and vice versa, but if only one major title is out there is no need to push it, its buisness after all,

I like that last sentiment, which is why I wish both games were available on both systems, in a perfect harmonious world. Both of the games are slacking - for 20 year old or so franchises, they have barely evolved in that time frame. I'd love direct competition!

Considering most of the car modelling is outsourced to India, they can re-use tracks and tweak them for each game, collaborate with Playground Games for assets and ideas, what shows 5/6 years of dev time?
