I bet both hands the Silvia S15 is still not 'redone from the ground up' after 18 years...how they got to redo the Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT, Porsche 911 Turbo 997 and others and not that one is beyond me (probably they think it's not worth the time)

It' s funny that in GT7 After 18 months of support we still don' t have much of these classics japanese cars

The fact that Forza Motorsport has jdm cars like the Mitsubishi FTO that is currently missing in Gran Turismo 7 is shocking.
I was thinking about this, about how sometimes the Forza reusing 3D MODELS (not the entire car, just what you see) turns out a good thing beacuse you get more variety of the cars easly

of course it dont look like a One or a new model scanned but still....

Beacuse most people that complain about the JDM models only complain on the wrong places, i was talking about it with another person today, i told that people should go voice their conserns on forza forums but they yelled me to point it and say it was stupid to do so

Meanwhile the new car gang has cars with 1500+ votes, while the posts about rework on the older cars has only 100 votes on Horizon and patheticly 18 votes on Motorsport

It shows why they are putting their priorites in the new cars instead of rework the oldercars

To be fair to a degree, it’s also probably easier for T10 to find a supercar like that to redo than it is for a S15 that’s not currently legal (afaik) in the US. So finding one probably requires quite a bit more leg work on their end & it very well may not be worth their time, unfortunately.

There's a lot of them actually. There's an importer in Virginia that has a few, and there's a bunch of them in California as well. YTers Jimmy Oakes and Adam LZ have about a dozen between them, just to name those two. Oakes has 3 with the more aggressive "Aero" bodykit as seen below, and. Plus we have a lot of them up north, so they probably just don't care about updating that car.

And several other turns if they've only got 11 listed...

Why in the name of all things does that have Japanese and UK plates?

Interesting to know. I was under the impression the car was still not US-legal for import as the model is just on the cusp of crossing the 25-year mark.

In Canada the wait is 15 years.

I saw iRacing was putting 80s stock cars into the game, i wonder if NASCAR licence falls into such cars or Forza could talk with iracing and get those car scans into the game too, specially since they share some car scan companines anyway

I Know that the Buick GNX and probally the Chevy will be in game, but i wanted a actual NASCAR car (even if is a classic NASCAR) in the game

Yeah the chicane isn’t there, looks as though the hairpin is the old sharpened one though.

I think they did a re-scan of Laguna Seca, not only the sector you talked was the first of the new game to be show to the outside world but also its confirmed that will feature older layouts that are not used in years that were scaned during the track re-scan
I haven’t seen any gameplay footage yet outside of trailers where it could be known if that’s the case. It also wouldn’t be possible to scan the historic layout, as it doesn’t exist anymore at Laguna Seca.

While I’m not quite at the point of doubting T10s comment about the historic layout of Laguna Seca and other circuits, I am a bit unsure of how exactly they’ll be implemented, and am surprised the only talk of them was a single sentence from a very early article. Having historic layouts including sound to me like a pretty big inclusion to the series, which I thought would’ve been a bigger talking point by now.

True, but The Crew 2 also has an FTO as well, since it too was requested thru player feedback.

Regarding GT7 and their cars, it can take well over 270 days to model a single car. Dunno how long it is in months-wise but the average Forza car being modeled is about six months. Maybe that's just a rough guesstimate but there is an article that suggests otherwise.

As for the so-called 25-year law we have on imports: I hate it with a passion. There shouldn't even be a law like this in the states. That's like Europe without the occasional imported American pickup truck.

Its easy when forza has not updated those models since at least fm3, some even goes back to fm1, they look disgusting, looking at that Mitsubishi lancer evolution vl at the trailer it looks terrible, at that point i rather have them gone until they fix those horrible models

My beloved is back, all will be well.
I Hope they do a Evo vs STI Championship
It was one of my most favorite championships in Toca Racer Driver 3
I hope they will be able to add other modern Le Mans P1 cars
IMSA is possible (and will happen as sooner as you think)
But you can forget Ferrari, Peugeot and any WEC car thanks to a certain motorsport games
It also wouldn’t be possible to scan the historic layout, as it doesn’t exist anymore at Laguna Seca.
Awtchually, it have leftovers that can be scanned and so they did

“When I was there, the track team walked me around one of the parking lots and stopped me in the middle of it,”

“They said ‘hey look, this is actually where the track used to be, the track used to drive though this area.’

“This was before they added the Andretti Hairpin that we all know and love, and it makes the track look like a monster with its mouth open. "

“That whole mouth open part, it just didn’t exist in the 60s and you can’t race it anymore in real life, it just doesn’t exist.

“But you can in our game.”

Pretty easy to do as well because of that. Hopefully people aren't expecting a full 1960s recreation, it'll just be the modern track with an alternative layout.

Hopefully they have done the same with Silverstone, like Grid did with the old bridge layout, the old bits are still there and scannable.

You need read more the news, they confirmed no rally cross and no rally stuff on day 1 and on short term
Yeah I'm not really expecting any yet, weird choice of cars for release though...

From a recent article, albeit the site has been roasted in here https://www.dexerto.com/forza/forza-motorsport-8-trailers-features-1333287/:

Dumb clickbait seems to be their bread and butter....much like most other gaming sites nowadays.
