Well, I can't deny I'm quite disappointed with the track list... But I want to argue, explain better.

First... What's the use of a track like Eagle Rock Speedway, considering that Homestead (fortunately, because I love it) is still there? We originally thought we'd lost Homestead when Eagle Rock was announced... And it wasn't even going to be a good replacement, to be honest, becausa its "roval" layout is really questionable IMHO. But since Homestead is still there, we could have easily done without Eagle Rock.

On the other hand... Good to have Lime Rock, Mid Ohio... But were they really priorities compared for example to COTA, Daytona, Long Beach, Road Atlanta or Sebring? Of course, this is to stay on the subject of American tracks. But the same goes for other tracks, such as Bathurst or Monza... Or Brands Hatch, or Hockenheim...

We know there will be some tracks coming post-launch, IIRC monthly and maybe even for free... We hope to recover this way at least some of the tracks we missed, because it's a big cut from the FM7 track list (although it's true, we knew we would have lost several tracks), unfortunately tracks like the various Eagle Rock, Grand Oak or Hakone honestly can't compensate for certain absences at all.

Surely I would have preferred to have immediately in game for example Daytona, Sebring and Monza (but you can also indicate three other tracks among the missing ones... for example COTA, Road Atlanta and Bathurst) and then post launch the various Eagle Rock, Grand Oak and Hakone.

However, despite everything, we hope to recover them in the future as post-launch content, perhaps finding them updated compared to FM7. Fingers crossed.

So then i anwser it for you the evo 6 has inaccurate grill headlights are of and looks low res, its the same 3d model going back at least to fm4, so recycled x360 model,
no one in the right mind can say it looks good in 2023 game, its just is not at same standard as the new cars they been adding, the hate its got is more than fair for how bad it looks, they would proably not get that if they just dont keep saying built from the ground up like 100 times
The worst part is that its not even the worst model, silvia s15 and skyline r32 is even worse they are a disaster
The R32 rendition in fh5 is pretty bad,i still hope it,and the R33,34 make the cut either way.

I'm glad Lime Rock has made it in, love that track a lot. There's obviously some big misses for me, Brands Hatch, Hockenheim, Bathurst and Monza being obvious ones. I have no doubts we will see a good handful of these alongside the Nordschleife next year.

But I am happy with what is there, I'm looking forward to seeing what layouts are available for each circuit, if they've rebuilt each venue then there are opportunities to do some new things compared to previous games (as they have allegedly done with Laguna Seca), so I'm excited to see what we get layout wise.

I’ve decided to cancel my preorder, the game being released is just not worth the price asked.

If I really want to, I’ll check it out via GamePass, or most likely will wait until it is more complete.

For now I am still really happy with FH5 and also can’t wait for TCM coming out later this month.

I just hope that the release of FM won’t impact the updates for FH5 as that would be a shame.

500+ cars, 20 environments, sizable career mode, in depth and structured multiplayer, 4k60+RTX presentation. And somehow people think this isn't worth the price and is somehow incomplete in some way?

I'm genuinely staggered sometimes by what people hold in their expectations.

Also, Horizon is developed and maintained by a completed different company. Highly unlikely there will be any impact on how that game continues to be supported.

Not to mention, it's on a subscription service day one with hundreds of other games, including Starfield. On PC and on Xbox.

It's a killer value.

This game is a major step up in environmental details, physics engine performance, graphical detail, and major gameplay changes for a more focused Motorsport game.

I want more tracks and we will get more tracks but they are clearly setting a standard for what they want their tracks to look like now. I just hope we see Fujimi Kaido eventually.

Forza Motorsport isn't going to effect Forza Horizon 5 updates. Forza Horizon 6 is going to effect Forza Horizon 5 updates.

To each their own, there is nothing wrong with playing it on Game Pass.

Honestly, I’d rather not see Fujimi return
I’m more interested in seeing something like Daytona or Sunset Peninsula, or Bathurst
There are plenty of real-world tracks that are significantly more important than “But muh Japanese mountain road”

I can't seem to understand this but maybe someone can help me, if I order the SE, would I be able to earn/buy at a later stage the cars in the PE add-ons being:
  • Forza Motorsport Race Day Car Pack
  • Forza Motorsport Car Pass
  • Forza Motorsport VIP Membership
  • Forza Motorsport Welcome Pack

You would need to buy the Premium Upgrade to access these vehicles.

The race day pack and the VIP pass are exclusive pre-order bonuses
The car pass can usually be purchased separately after the game releases
The welcome pack is just a bunch of pre-tuned variants of cars already in the game, so you can just recreate them in-game

Good decision, if you're not sure you shouldn't be pre-ordering, especially if you don't have GP and have to pay full price. For me, I already have GP, have saved up enough MS rewards to get premium, and I'm definitely going to enjoy this, so I'm all ready for early access.

I also play GT7, but for me, it just doesn't click the way a Forza game does, namely the strange viewports available, and the sterile engine sounds (which are only marginally improved over the old vacuum recordings). Plus, my wheel setup is on PC now (have my SX downstairs on an OLED, PC on an ultrawide), and Forza works much better on an ultrawide monitor, plus excited to use my 3d printed button box with it

I'm disappointed that Nord's isn't day 1 but happy it's coming soon enough. I'm gutted that Brands, Road Atlanta, Mount Panorama are missing. And I would also had liked to retain Bernese Alps, Rio and Prague. Not too bothered about Sebring or COTA, both of these have never really clicked, especially COTA. Always found it boring.

Nobody likes a yellow filter.
i do
What's the use of a track like Eagle Rock Speedway
I think that from the rest of track list and what they said, it would be a track to teach newbies about racing, teach about how a race works and also breaking spots and things like that
IIRC monthly and maybe even for free
All tracks will be free, they confirmed over and over

I like both types of tracks, but looking for comments to see what users were thinking about the game, actually i saw various people that prefer the fantasy ones over the real ones, some wanted even MORE FANTASY TRACKS and said that most of real life ones were boring

Same, I think more tracks are deserving to be in Forza than Fujimi, most people that askl Fujimi will play FH5 anyways
I am just glad that, at least on first tracks, they will focus in circuits over the city tracks, but i am sure people will go "WhErE iS FuJiMi? No FuJiMi No BuY" anyways

ahh ok thanks, so I can only buy them that at a later stage as long as they're still listed on the store
If you have gamepass, you can buy the premium/ultimate pack for a cheaper price and play the game with it, like @syphe is doing

After launch i think you could get the full game in a low price if you want as well

The race day pack and the VIP pass are exclusive pre-order bonuses
Hmm not fond of this, I'll see closer to the time if I'll do a pre-order for PC
Where have you seen that?

Everything I've read on the official Xbox site and store and Forza channels, and the official "editions" guide image I posted, say VIP is a Premium Edition bonus. The Race Day Car Pack is also a Premium Edition bonus, but the Xbox store also claims it's in the Deluxe Edition which is contradicted by everything else.

However I've not seen either described as pre-order exclusives anywhere.

ok so no content is locked to pre-ordering

The piss filter was abysmal in this game, it looked so much better modded out.
Its part of the aestethics of the game, taste is taste, but for me, the filter adds to the drama aesthetic the game wants to show you from the cover to the soundtrack

The music, the yellow sunset aestetics, all give you this sensation of drama and the sensation that you and your car are in constant danger, making you drive on the edge between sucess and failure

This type of thing is that also i miss on most racing games, specially sims, Race Driver Grid had almost no story but somewhat due the combination of all this i felt immersed in that world

I hope the art team in Forza Motorsport also focus on it, specially on the soundtrack, it lacked a lot on last few games

There is a difference: FM2023's yellow colouring is clearly from a red sky sunset time of day selection. Whereras GRiD 1 was just a horrible sepia filter over everything.
