A minority of people will notice. The same minority complaining about them. It simply isn't worth the investment of money or time to do it for the <1% who care.

And in cases like the Evo, it doesn't need a rescan, it needs people to understand that it's accurate to the model it was based from.
For context 1% of the Forza Horizon 5 player base is 330,000 people.

I’ve not seen 330,000 people even talk about Forza, let alone complain about a singular issue.

I'm curious about something related to the F1 games, and you are the right person to ask about this.
How does F1 handle the modelling for F1 cars (like aero, floor, livery etc.) and the frequent updates that the teams bring?
How do the track updates happen? Are they rescanned at a regular interval, or only when necessary?

Well there we go, so it's probably closer to 0.0001%. Really puts perspective on certain complaints when you can call on the numbers.

Focus the time and money on things that the millions will notice.

One thing you guys are forgetting: Modern CAD designed cars already have a digital model which the manufacturer can share during licensing (just like some track owners these days have laser scan data they will share).

So those Huracans for example probably took a lot less effort to get modeled than a 30 year old car which needs to be found in pristine form and scanned from scratch.

The copies of the game that are going out to the youtubers,is that the full finished game?If so is the car list final? If thats the case we should know all the cars by next week maybe.

That's assuming that the models is game-ready of course, made in a way that allows for things like suspension play, damage, and anything that can be cosmetically adjusted to be altered, plus proper LOD versions have to be made to be used by CPU cars and distant cars.

Do you have a link for your list?Ive been using the official list on forza.net which was dated 30th august,be interesting to see the ones not on that list yet.

Or even just body kit options to create different versions. Either way, it's still money and time that could, and should, be better spent elsewhere.

Also, the track reveals aren't doing them any favours.
That will be nice too but they aren't doing that either. Considering certain cars keep getting more variants, I think cars like the Evo 6, R32 and S15 getting a new variant with new models will be good alternative to replacing the bad models without really just rescanning the same car.

It is still +1 new car to their car list, instead of rescanning the same car and they can't brag about adding new cars into the game.

A minority of people will notice. The same minority complaining about them. It simply isn't worth the investment of money or time to do it for the <1% who care.

And in cases like the Evo, it doesn't need a rescan, it needs people to understand that it's accurate to the model it was based from.
You have to be joking, the evo 6 is not accurate the headlights are off and so is the grill, it might not be a huge issue for most people, but to say its good model is simply not true, this is not say this is going to stop the game for being great game through,

They... should not have used that Lancer.

What Am I Looking At Bikini Bottom GIF by SpongeBob SquarePants
Well, I think that's point proven.

The F1 development team has a close relationship with the teams and Formula 1 itself.

Tracks:
Some get refined every year, changes could be big like new layouts, or small like newly painted kerbs, or somewhere in the middle like new grandstands and trackside furniture (Miami went through a lot of the latter for 23). All tracks get updated sponsor board placement as per Formula 1 guidelines.

The dev team use whatever resource they can get, whether that's data from Formula 1 or loads of photos.

This video details everything that went into Qatar and Vegas:

Cars:

Every season the cars at launch are as accurate as they can be when it comes to the references provided by teams and the time needed to create said cars. The vehicle team has a very close (and very confidential) relationship with each team to accurately represent them in-game.

There has also historically been a mid or late-season refresh with new aero elements for all cars (again, based on working with the teams) as well as updated liveries. Likewise the current season F2 cars tend to get added post-launch in each game, these take a little longer to do than the F1 cars as there's so many of them and their season starts later.

For F1 23 a lot of the teams are also sending over special one-off designs, like today's Ferrari and Alfa Romeo tribute designs. Most of these are going on the F1 World Car so that people can use them in multiplayer and My Team.

The copies of the game that are going out to the youtubers,is that the full finished game?
Typically the "full, finished game" build doesn't exist for anybody until Day 0. Also depending on the campaign strategy, some early preview builds may be "closed off" with only a small selection of cars and tracks; F1 has done this in the past.

For most games even reviews are done on a near-final build, though some do get the Day 0 patch delivered before embargo.

Think of it this way, what you find unacceptable in the inaccuracies of the models; Ferrari and all the other manufacturers approved and found acceptable.

the track reveals aren't doing them any favours
They should had picked other cars to go with the tracks
The Suzuka one was great beacuse was a good new model, but still
Antagonize the car enthusiasts
He is joking obivusly, but I like cars but dont use the photo mode 99% of times
scrap all the road cars. This is Forza Motorsport, not Horizon. Racing cars only from now on
I would have been unironically okay with this, but that ship sailed so long ago that it's a dot on the Horizon.
I mean, Some Road cars are tuned and customized to be used on tracks
Case in point Honda N-One Cup

is that the full finished game?
probally is the pre-day 1 version

Well there we go, so it's probably closer to 0.0001%. Really puts perspective on certain complaints when you can call on the numbers.

Focus the time and money on things that the millions will notice.
How can an enthusiast say this? Yes the lowest common denominator don't notice these things, but are we them? They should get the details right! The R32 looks so out of place in a modern racing game, it's like PS2 era when low budget racing games were the norm and some of the car models looked like kit cars. This is Microsoft's AAA racing sim where a HUGE push is on presentation and mind blowing visuals, and you have an R32 Skyline (a very legendary car) that looks like a it had an allergic reaction and is now deformed

Is the R32 in Forza motorsport?Ive not seen it in any lists yet.

It's easy to say, because I've said it, and I say it every time a Forza is released and the same handful of people whine. It really doesn't matter to the majority (and it's a vast majority as well) of players, casual and enthusiasts alike, when there are many far, far more important things for them to focus on. Would it be nice to see some models get updated in the future? Yes of course, should it be a priority to appease the 0.001% of people who will even notice (nevermind care)? No.

It's still an R32 at the end of the day. The old saying goes, "If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck".

"If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck".
It's a deformed duck though... :P

Okay, okay. I'm kidding, I'll shut my mouth about this outdated model or outdated model offset crap for now. If it doesn't matter to the majority, then it doesn't matter to the majority. The Evo VI isn't even a model I actually care about that much, the R32 Skyline GT-R is the one I'm thinking of. and my precious Viper GTS ACR, I just hate seeing it in the state it's in.

I am going to later on spread awareness about that option on the suggestions page though.

I suspect it's about caring in the end. Personally I don't care about those models because I will likely only ever use one if it comes up as a seasonal challenge car. For the rest they are just sitting in my garage as icons and filling my garage completion %.

We all have our own preferences, and mine happen to be far away from '80's or '90's Japanese cars.

Genius! While we're at it, scrap all the road cars. This is Forza Motorsport, not Horizon. Racing cars only from now on

Folks might laugh, but I would also be 100% okay with a clear division of race cars for Motorsport and road cars for Horizon. Just imagine 500+ modern and vintage race cars to play with on some of the world's best race tracks? Now that would get me excited about Motorsport again.

I'd be happiest with a career mode (or even two separate and/or parallel career modes) that had a more noticeable hard line separating the semi-fantastical track-day-style events for customized road cars, and the homologated, FIA-affiliated pro-motorsport-style events that feel more real-world or "official," preferably with separate approaches to "career paths" and progression in the two separate fields. But that's not the approach T10 or presumably any other dev seems interested in making. Maybe it's just too risky for them to shake things up, but career modes at this point, even the ones that aren't meant to replicate a real-world series, tend to be kind of safe and formulaic: either "here's a bunch of options, do whatever in whatever order" levels of aimless free-for-all (like how even at the very beginning of your "career," FM7 starts you off with the option of driving anything from a hot hatch to a supercar to a '60s F1 racer), or the trad "start slow, work up, and never look back at the slower cars" path (Assetto Corsa, which I suspect not even the people with four-digit hours played in the game have gone out of their way to finish). And even though it bothers me a lot more when a racing sim doesn't have a career mode at all than a perfunctory one, I'd still like to see a "CarRPG" that actually lets you have a branching-path RPG-style progression (something like Project Cars 2, maybe, but with more depth), and a more tangible sense that you're picking one of several possible "careers" that feels different from the others.

That would defeat the whole point of the brand. Forza has always been about being able to pick road cars and tune them up as well as picking dedicated race cars.

If you remove the road cars, the game becomes a lot thinner. And besides, we have a bunch of other games which focus on racing cars, so Forza heading to that niche makes it stand out less.

I completly agree, thats why i always prefer franshises like forza motorsport and gran turismo to other racing games
Like acc or iracing, the appeal has always been to have the option to drive pretty much everything and have good tuning options, and for me thats the part of the fun, if either forza and gran turismo would go this route with just race cars, i would not have any intrest in them

Oh, I understand entirely why road cars are in the game, and I know they will never change that. I'm just saying I would love a Motorsport that was entirely dedicated to race cars.

EDIT: And I understand there are a lot of people out there that can't afford the money and/or time for two different racing games, so one game with almost everything is necessary.
