It's easy to say, because I've said it, and I say it every time a Forza is released and the same handful of people whine. It really doesn't matter to the majority (and it's a vast majority as well) of players, casual and enthusiasts alike, when there are many far, far more important things for them to focus on. Would it be nice to see some models get updated in the future? Yes of course, should it be a priority to appease the 0.001% of people who will even notice (nevermind care)? No.

It's still an R32 at the end of the day. The old saying goes, "If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck".
It might be an Argentinean racing pigeon? 🤔

I feel like it's got all a bit Negative Nancy around this game recently, so just wanted to lay out some of the stuff I'm personally excited for

  • Ultrawide/Super Ultrawide support on PC
  • Wheel support on PC + new low cost Moza DD option for console players
  • Cross-play + Cross-save
  • Free multiplayer on PC
  • A proper single player campaign

From what they've shown so far, I know I'm gonna enjoy this game, can't wait for Oct 5th.

But it doesn’t look like a duck, It hasn’t been revealed yet and I honestly think even turn10 looked at it and said “yeah we can’t add that to the game”

Removing Daytona Speedway but getting Eagle Rock is a huge head scratcher for me. Daytona is like the hub for IMSA and a multipurpose track I dont understand the reasoning for that omission. I just hope it makes a return in a future track pack.
One personally hopes maybe they're updating/re-working something on it & releasing it in January for the 24.

A lot of commenters are thinking they'll bring it back in an IMSA tie-in announcement moment. It could be they are waiting to bring it back later as some advertising a few months into the game's life (or maybe even a year into the game's life). We just don't know.

I feel it will show up in January or Feb, iRacing and Forza seems using the same company to scan the cars for the new game, and iRacing has confirmed all IMSA GTP cars, its just a matter of time until we see all GTP cars in Forza Motorsports in a way or another too

Seeing this iRacing trailer of the Porsche 963 with Daytona, Sebring, and Road Atlanta makes me hope for exactly that! I would really like to see Turn10 announcing some kind of roadmap with their plas for post-release track additions.

Looking through the list of cars announced so far, I'm still noticing a lack of Alfa Romeo and Lancia. After those brands returned to Horizon recently, I was hoping that meant they would make the cut for Motorsport too. Hopefully they'll be added at some point, but perhaps whatever deal was done to Horizon came too late for the launch of Motorsport? Does that sound possible?

Influencers and streamers have had a diastrous consequence on gaming.

Best example is this video.

Forza Subreddit users as well, but on a smaller level. Toxic places, that's for sure.

I'm still looking forward to Forza Motorsport, although I can't say it on the Subreddit as the otherwise the downvotes are gonna go ballistic and then be called a 'shill'.

A proper single player campaign...this makes me excited about this Game!
But there's one catch. Any saving of progression will require an always-online connection, similar to GT7.

I'm still excited nonetheless, and I plan to use music from Ridge Racer (PSP) while playing in FM8.

I totally agree,I cant wait for release day to come.Old models or new models,im looking forward to it.I get its a bit of a cop out using older models but hopefully it wont spoil my enjoyment of the game,it will make a change form playing FH5 and GT7,amongst others.

I can't bring myself to watch a BlackPanthaa video but did Forza really call anyone stupid or is the tweet in his video keyframe a complete fabrication?

Hopefully those YouTubers like Super GT and Hoki Hoshi who actually received playable code will be able to give us a more balanced opinion of the game.

That is possible we will see those brands pop up eventually it could be within a month or two after release or 2 years down the line. It would be absolutely weird if we dont get alfa, lancia, abarth or fiat in FM throughout its whole life cycle.

Well... that's not the real Forza Motorsport (or Horizon) TwiX account. In fact that account belongs to an original Twitter users from April 2007 and is locked down. Musk would probably seize it for MS if they asked...

Thing is, I don't think he's actually wholly wrong. Yes, it's quite OTT (it's his audience), but his over-riding point in the first few minutes is about the exact same thing we all made fun of: "built from the ground up". T10 stopped saying it as a result.

Sure, there's exaggeration on the whole "models from FM1" thing (although the line that if you wanted to have sex with the Evo model it'd be entirely legal to do so [in the UK] is gold) but - as I very much suggested when they released this particular trailer - it's pretty hard to deny that some of these are old, old models that are at best retouched slightly and not built from the ground up unless FM4 was the ground. The last time I looked in the official Forza forums, there was a long thread complaining about it.

He does say at one point he doesn't really care what it looks like as long as it plays well, but also that he doesn't know what the game actually looks like.

It's easy to concur with that: the cars in the Nissan Z gameplay were so flat and diffuse (I don't know if he brought up the ludicrously and uniformly shiny Audi clip; I didn't get that far), and they actually really did make a big fuss of RTRT in one trailer by showing the deep reflections of the GT-R/911, then immediately follow that with a Countach with no reflections of any kind in the same video.

They do need to really finalise the look, which is probably a case of determining what's the maximum they can run on XSS/XSX without them melting and then optimising and pushing for more. It's all been very inconsistent; great in one clip, then... the Evo VI.

I wasn't terribly impressed with the flat Audi in the Eaglerock video, but the reflections on the Evo VI video are gopping, and it too suffers from Exhaust Blanking Syndrome. It was such a totally baffling decision to showcase one of the 20 tracks with one of the oldest and worst models. Complete own-goal, opening themselves to all this ridicule.

Hopefully those YouTubers like Super GT and Hoki Hoshi who actually received playable code will be able to give us a more balanced opinion of the game.
If they haven't sent BP a code I'll be very, very surprised.

They haven't.

I never experinced blackpanthaa as very biased mostly plays pretty much any racing games, but to me it seems like he prefer arcade racers

Yeah. Dismissing BP strikes me as a defense mechanism.

The run up to the release of Forza Motosport has been a bit of a **** show tbh and people seem a bit riled up on both sides.

I just hope it comes out and is great.

I am getting increasingly worried though.

I'm just waiting for the embargo to lift on the 11th so we can hear from people who've actually played the game.
Sure. The trailers they put out we all can look at though. Talking about what we see is fair game. No exception for BP.

OK, but right now it's just an opinion on the visuals. Someone who's played the game is more likely to be able to outline its pros and cons from experience than someone who seems proud not to have played it.

I'm just gonna wait and see what actual normal gamers and actual fans of the franchise(which wouldn't include SuperGT) have to say about it. And not in any negativity-addicted subreddit or anything, either.

Will be difficult, but these folks are out there! lol

So far, there are seemingly a LOT of people already making up their minds about the game. Just honestly so tired of 'the gaming community' in general. I feel like everything, positive or negative, is all based on reactionary feelings and takes nowadays.
