FM7 had 102 race series, of which 30 were single races and the other 72 were 4-6 races per race series.
So roughly 390 races in total, mostly short but with <10 endurance races included.

It took approximately 3 days of play, i.e. 60-70 hours, for me to beat them (big guesstimate there).

I'm still confused by events being locked until you've completed previous ones (from what we've seen), seems to go against people having their favourite cars if those events are locked. Like there's an MX-5 one, so I hope that if you have the right car events unlock. But Dan saying he likes having a set path, scares me. Maybe you always get to pick a free car? Hopefully, there are class-based events too.

It’s almost like we’ll have to play the game to unlock things.

Something sorely missed in games nowadays.

I really like that in FM the series are not bound to car groups like in FM7… it is a bit reminiscent of FM4

There's nothing stopping you from going from the first listed event to the last in order, if events are unlocked in a racing game.
PC2 lets you jump ahead a bit in the career mode (but I still started in the lower tier) but then most special events are locked.
Which I find frustrating, as you can't decide to do road events before track ones or do historic events first.
It's almost like some people have no self-control or imagination.

But maybe it's an attempt to ease all players into the game at the same level to tie into the MP. I think the initial track selection definitely has MP in mind.

I'm wondering if there will be any soundtrack playing during the races? Drum & Bass, etc.
That would be more suited to Horizon. In Motorsport, all you want to hear would be the roar of the engine.

As for the menu soundtrack, expect it to be something that will put you to sleep, like in Motorsport 5, 6 and 7. Really miss the soundtrack style curated by Lance Hayes back in Motorsport 3 and 4.

How much cars do we have at the car-list at the moment
Announced around 485, still around 20 cars to be announced as as things goes i am getting the strong felling that are the rest of racing cars that they havent announced yet, followed by the annouciament of the full car list

The car list was not updated this week, what also seems to apoint that the next annouciament will be the final day one list (not counting DLC and The CarPass, again).

I wonder how many events total is in the game. Iirc fm4 had like 400 events I wonder if this game is in the hundreds as well, I like a lengthy game.

Yea its likely that will be this way, they also confirmed that future free cars and updated tracks would be added to career as well, hopefuly it changes and helps the career more, i always dreamed in something like GT4 Cups or FM3/FM4 but with constant new missions and tournaments

I apologise for starting to write about the Toyota 86 again, but I noticed something interesting on the official forum.

All the cars on the forum that have the tag "fm-roster" are on the list of announced cars
There is also a Subaru BRZ announced among them, but the Toyota GT86 has the tag on the site, even though it hasn't been announced

[I'm using a translator, apologies if anything is spelt wrong]

Shame that BADNED basically just disappeared off the web under that name. But, guy also had a lot of insider knowledge at the time.

He posted a Forza Horizon 5 trailer on his YouTube account about a year ago.

I'm still subscribed to him on YouTube. It's a real shame that he went silent after ForzaCentral went down.

High-energy racing game YouTubers are so damn cringe that it hurts.

(By high-energy, I mean these guys that yell during the intro or basically throughout the entire video, they also clickbait literally any news.)

180k views though, with Forza only generating 29k for the track reveal with the Evo, was it genius marketing that won't even be in the game but made an emotional talking point and the bait was taken hook, line and sinker?

Do marketing depts play like this, is all publicity good in gaming?

Quite entertaining to go back and watch some of the "super exited' types early videos to watch how much they change over time to attract their emotial based audiences. Good to count all the times they talk about or express emotions to know how they market things, and which things to therefore avoid.

Hes one of the worst for it,in my opinion.Hes also probably upset he didnt get a copy.AR12 is basing this on s preview build which,as far as i can tell, probably doesnt have all features unlocked.Fortunately YT has subtitles so we can turn the volume right down.

If you don't want do the Buılders Cup(career) and instead just do some races on those available Tracks, can you do that?
While doing that can you still collect Points to upgrate your Car?

Watched ar12gaming video yesterday about car levels, and after see through a good set of other videos as well, they need to change it after feedback, currently it will be to much of grind taking 2-3 hours to Max level a car on avarage is way to long, imagine if you just want 100 cars fully tuned its 200-300 hours of gameplay and if you going to count in all dlc cars that drop in future updates there might be 500 cars or more that you want later down the line thats over 1000 hours and remember that its just if you have no duplicates, but like some sugested let people choise the upgrades they want with avaiable car points you have, looking some catogorys to very high levels is not a good idea,

They are a disaster!!

Not to mention so many Developers and Publishers are tailor making games just so it suits their needs and not the wider community.

This is the consequences of influencers running the show.
