They're quite similar to that of Forza Horizon 5, but with lower cornering speeds and more pronounced understeer and oversteer.

In comparison with GT7, road cars feel a bit more controllable from what I remember of that game, and somewhat more predictable.
Im not getting the massive understeer that a lot of people are, maybe I dont drive fast enough  Seriously though im not noticing it as much as some people.👍

For anyone curious, here are a couple of quick lazy shots of the widebody kit for the AMG GT R:

It's pretty subtle, but sadly it has no option for a big GT-style wing to add to it. The only wing option is a "race" upgrade for the factory adjustable wing, which looks the same but increases the downforce it provides from a default of 110lbs to I believe it was 165lbs.

I was kinda hoping we would see a number of these cars have body kits that made them into sorta "fantasy" GT race cars. Seems a few get close but they don't look quite as... "cohesive" as I'd like I guess, like they belong in a racing series running against each other. Instead they just look like they should be at a car show together or something.

Still pretty cool though I guess, but I probably would have been more disappointed in the lack of a wing if I had actually run it all the way up to level 50 instead of just letting the computer drive while I watched YouTube.

Dare to be different, must be the only person using the Levorg in online touring cars. I know it’s down on PI but I like the RWD nature of it. View attachment 1294602
Yeah I did the same in the Velostar yesterday, felt a bit out of place on a sea of S class

Even someone like randomcallsign who wasn't a fan seems to think the multiplayer is brilliant. If anything is going to make or break a racing game in 2023, it's the multiplayer, so I'm glad they got this part right and everyone seems to be enjoying it, bodes well for its future

That's called Stockholm Syndrome

Just get over the negativity, just focus on enjoying it..

I was really enjoying Starfield, and I put 50 hours into it in the first week. The discourse was ridiculous surrounding it - I ignored it all, and just continued playing and enjoying the game KNOWING people were missing out.

Their loss.

Any word on a patch coming soon? I figured we would get one the week of release, this week, because even though im enjoying a lot of what this game has to offer there are some sizable issues that I see like most others that need to be addressed. Already had to redo a big career championship race because the game booted me out of my quick resume and that was twice in 2 days. Then theres plenty of QOL things that need to be fixed too.

I have 50 hours into it right now, stuck at work... Lol.

Confused.....I started the campaign of course. Then Turn 10 released the Featured Tour: Track Tour for the campaign with weekly missions. Well, I was playing my campaign, then they released week 1, so I stop my main campaign and complete Tour 1. Then I went back to campaign. Then week 2 is out, so now I feel like I need to do week two tour because I don't want to miss it. But then I neglect my regular campaign. I assume that once these 4 tours are unlocked, that they will disappear next month and I won't be able to do them?

Really undecided if I want to attempt downloading this on my laptop just so I can use my wheel. Would for sure have to use all low settings but just from hearing all the horror stories, its kinda pushing me to just use my Series S with a pad instead. I mean I can download it and just see, worst comes to worst I'll just have to stick to console.

I would advice against it, atleast till they sort out the cpu utilization. The game can be optimized for a great range of gpus, but it heavily depends on single threaded performance and doesn't scale well above 6 cores.

I think you should wait a month or two to let the issues be sorted.

Kinda what I was figuring. My wheel is brand new though and I'm just itching to keep it up haha.

As I understand, yes they will disappear next month and be replaced with new events and new reward car. But you can do them alongside the regular career events.

My related question is, do the weekly tours stay unlocked until the whole monthly event ends? I haven't been able to play all week and can't for the next week or so, don't want to miss my chance to get the races done. In otherwords, I assume Tour 2 is now unlocked but is 1 still open?

Edit: Buggered the original reply up

250hrs here & just put it down to start Forza.

Well then, I guess I will focus on these first and foremost. I know my career won't disappear next month, so it makes sense to make sure these are done, if I want that rewards.

Sadly, it seems the new FM penalty system isn't yet enforcing clean racing:

Early on, ISAD is behind another driver who blatantly rams him every time he is passing. At the 15 minute mark, the blatant rammer is the only driver in the top 4 who doesn't have a penalty.

Thanks for posting that. I have blocked him now.

Just gonna say, being able to go hotlap around Mid-Ohio any time I want without having to worry about schedules, long drives to the track, fees and safety checks, or the anxiety of trashing my friend's new* Camaro has definitely been worth the price of admission. Having a track present that I actually live near has definitely guaranteed I'll be playing this for quite a while.

*new in 2017, when I actually was able to take a couple laps around the real course at a not so record shattering pace

That is exactly why I like Road America. It's an hour from my house. As many times as I have been there, it's more fun on my TV :)

I'm playing the game for a week and I spent a fair amount of time trying to get a descent framerate on my rig (Ryzen 2600 + RTX 4070 + 32 GB), but apparently my CPU can't get the game at stable 60 fps (contrary to what the in-game benchmark report tells me), even by reducing resolution or every other option. In race, my experience is awful. Since I'm targeting 60 fps @ 4K in every game, I'm always fine with my CPU until Starfield and FM2023. The problem is that I don't see on my screen a rise in quality that would justify this. I could replace my R2600 for a R5600 but I'm not sure it would solve the problem given other players shared experiences. I'm looking forward for a CPU round-up on this game, and/or a patch. My Forza Horzon 5 is 60 fps stable at Extreme settings and native 4K (without any downscale nor DLSS)
It seems as though if you change resolutions or dlss or any of the bigger video hitters, there is some type of resource leak or whatever it may be. I've found restarting the game after making these types of changes to sort it out and get a higher FPS. Just changing things over and over in game wasn't really showing the performance gains until a restart. The need to fix this faster than a sneeze.
I must have my wheel set up wrong. AC feedback was mint, would love close to that. I have updated the fw and played around with various in game settings but to no avail. What platform and what wheel do you have ? Struggling to find a nice setup.
I won't be back to the rig until this evening. I can post my settings or message them to you. Using a DD2 with Heusinkveld pedals.

While none of those cars interest me (but adding them as an option for those that do is a good idea), I totally forgot about the Ford Tempo. A friend of mine back in the day had one (well his parents did). We actually liked it.
Me and my brother had one, the transmission exploded one day and the whole interior was covered in transmission fluid.

It was hilarious.

I know people think those cars are boring but to me, nothing is more boring than looking at Lamborghini's current lineup. It's like copy and paste Huracans.

I want the Murcielago back....

You can now optimize the game with GeForce Experience. This usually does a good job of making games run better without tinkering with the settings and restarting the game every time.

Also, As an aside I noticed on FM7 the car prices were never updated and some are still priced at "???"
Now that the cars are all available to buy in the Car Collection screen, would you be interested in me putting together a list of the missing prices for you to add to the site? At the moment this makes the FM7 part of your site feel "incomplete" to me. For one thing I cannot sort your car list by price properly for FM7.
I don't think a lot of players still use F7 on K', but if you're motivated enough:
  • I elevated your rights, so you'll now see and "Edit Price" button on F7 car's page.
  • Also, clicking the car's picture on the "carlist" will open the same edit box, so you don't need to enter every car page.
  • In consequence, you now also see the contributor areas in the FH5 and FM car pages (or by clicking image on carlist), which offers more data to edit, and automatically credit you on the page (older designed F7 section don't).

Your wheel isnt supported on Xbox right? And probably not worth getting one of those converters that lets you use it?

The game IS a bit of a disaster, certainly relative to expectations set by the live streams, but the basics are good enough that it absolutely can be enjoyed. The graphics performance isn't where it should be, but at the same time if you are on console, or on a PC that can handle it, the graphics look good if you can achieve a high enough fps. The track models seem reasonably accurate when I compare to real life onboard footage, and the detail in the track environments might be the best of any driving game. The AI is terrible at driving near other cars, but at the same time its pace on a clear track is good enough that once the chaos is over, all but the fastest drivers can have a reasonably challenging experience. The physics is outstanding IMO, far superior to any previous Forza game including FH5, particularly the braking. The car level up system is terrible, but at the same time it's possible to go into a tour series with a level 1 car and win the series against the hardest AI, just upgrading as you level up during the series, and having fun along the way. So it's really a glass half full vs half empty thing, both descriptions are accurate. If someone wants to try a load of cars for rivals, they'll find it terrible because the level up system basically just doesn't let you do that, but if you focus instead on things you CAN do in the game, there is fun to be had.

Edit: I've just started watching the video and he agrees the physics is fantastic on controller, he's criticizing the wheel behaviour. I've played Forza on wheel in the past, and my view is just don't do it. If you want to play a driving game with a wheel, play one of the many other games such as GT or ACC that give wheel users a huge competitive advantage. Forza is a controller game, and that is a major reason why I'm playing it, because my controller times on ACC are SECONDS slower than my wheel times, and I don't want to devote space to a wheel setup any more. Forza is the only game I've played where I can do times with a controller that are competitive with my wheel times.
