The Drivatar names are just people on your friends list. I guess as my friends list is about three people, other criteria may also be used - like GTP club members?
I think it prioritizes people on your friends list who also play and folks in any club you belong to, and if that doesn't fill the field then it pulls random gamertags from people who have played recently. I'm guessing anyone associated with T10 are prioritized in that instance too, as Absolut Zero has been in every Builder's Cup race I've run so far.

Yes, the originals were supposed to adapt to your mannerisms (which... I've never seen any evidence of as the FH4/5 AI at least all drive the same way). This was supposedly ditched for this game.
They worked really well in FM6- but it took a lot of work to get them there. Back then, you could have AI in multiplayer lobbies, 5 per player, and it was pretty easy to tell who's AI belonged to who. Had some great single player racing in that game, I'd say the best of any game I've played. FM7 was a step in the wrong direction, seemed like they got really lazy with the performance levels, and here we are now.

Man this weeks multiplayer track/car/length combinations don’t make any sense, you’ve got small formula cars on full GP Tracks and GT cars on short tracks (other than Spa) with short race length, even the touring cars have weird selection of tracks that don’t suit them. What’s everyone else’s thoughts?

I'm sorry but wasn't this glitch in FM7 too? I guess there goes "built from ground up" and "whole new engine" or am I wrong?

I mean if it was totally new game made from scratch this should not be possible 🤔
That's what a lot of comments state on the YouTube video. I don't personally remember the FM7 glitch.

Its good they built the glitch again from the ground up.

The Creator said it is the same glitch as FM7

Exactly, dont let negativity stop you from enjoying anything.Leave that to the users on Reddit and the Forza.net forums
I do agree but my only gripe is that those people influence others that may enjoy, thus decreasing the number of potential players...
Formula Mazdas
There Formula Mazda Spec this week too, actually pretty fun
We need a few more cars like this in FM.
I Recommend you vote and ask people to vote for them in forums

After a long 3 hours of letting the game play itself, managed to finally unlock the Widebody option for the 2015 Subaru WRX STi.

Interesting looking kit, definitely needs some track width adjustment though.

Going to try grind it out for some of these other new kits.

Oh and the car has a delete rear bumper option for it - first time I've seen that in a Forza title.
Looks nice, shame it’s locked behind such regressive game design.

As I understand, yes they will disappear next month and be replaced with new events and new reward car. But you can do them alongside the regular career events.

My related question is, do the weekly tours stay unlocked until the whole monthly event ends? I haven't been able to play all week and can't for the next week or so, don't want to miss my chance to get the races done. In otherwords, I assume Tour 2 is now unlocked but is 1 still open?
Yeah the first Featured tour is still open. The weekly tours are supposed to stay unlocked for the whole month, so that if you can't play one week you can make them up the next week. Who knows if T10 stick to that, but that's how it works for now.

Thank you, I also found this note on the Forza website earlier when searching for an answer. Good news for people like me who can't play for weeks at a time.
These series do not have to be completed in a particular week – you have until 2 weeks after the end of the entire tour to complete it; this gives players more flexibility to enjoy the content at their own pace.

The game has some serious bugs with paints on car and wheels. There are cars where the inner part of the wheels are white and they don't change the color. It looks so off.

Man T10 really needs to borrow PG's car audio person or send the files over from horizon 5. How the heck do cars like the new KTM xbow GT2 and Lambo Essenza sc12 just to name a few sound completely raw and accurate in FH5 but way off in the newly released FM? Its a serious head scratcher and it just makes me love FH5 more just for that rsason alone. The cars just sound way better overall in that game.

I had a tonne of fun driving the Group A VL Commodore around Grand Oak in the wet last night. I don't think I've ever felt soo happy playing a racing game before. It really is an absolute blast to drive a legend of the Australian touring car scene. I was meowing and giggling like a school girl with joy because it's the car that started it all for Walkinshaw and HSV, culminating in the creation of the one and ONLY Holden Racing Team where legends like Skaife and Lowndes made a name for themselves. The lion will never die!

I recoiled in horror when I went to test drive the X-Bow GT2 and I was met with an amorphous inline 4 sample that sounds like it could have come from any I-4 race car. Like...Audi is the ONLY manufacturer currently producing an inline-five engine! How can you mess that up? Especially when the same car is being added as DLC to your sister title with the correct engine sound!!

I'm being theatrical and dramatic, of course, but man...

Don't know if this has been said yet. Add the AMG GT Black Series to the list of broken engine sounds. It sounds like a flat-plane Ferrari.

EDIT: I decided to complain without double-checking that the GT Black DOES have a flat-plane crank. Please disregard my ignorance.

Tip for those trying to do a multi-class custom race:

I've only ran 2 classes though it may work with more, if you run say Forza GT and LMP1 and mainly LMP1 cars are showing, go to the car class that is showing the least and on the minimum allowed section make it 12 or however many of that class you want to be present.

Has anyone encountered this bug? Is it common? It thankfully hasn't happened to me (yet), but I spoke to a friend on Twitter who had gotten stuck in The Open A-class tour, lost his progress and had to redo the tour. Corrupting the save file sounds like a nightmare 😬

The paint booth is really quite terrible in FM8, I tried making a knockoff of my orange One:1 from FH4 and FH5 using the Agera RS (since they cut the One:1) but it came out oversaturated and all wrong. I'll have another go at it soon. Why can't you zoom in and out anymore in the livery editor?!!?! I couldn't tell whether my striping placement was off or not because it just wouldn't let me zoom in! I'm surprised paint regions even made it into the game.

Also, is there a way to get rid of the watermark in photomode?

I had it twice so far. Just one race progress lost that I was able to reload and re-run again, so nothing major - still pretty annoying when it happens.

I chalked it up to server issues since everything is saved online and so on.

Yep. It is indeed a flat-plane compared to the cross-plane in the other two.

Wow, please forgive me for that. For some reason I had it in my mind that it just shared the same setup as the GT S/R and other V8 AMG Mercs. Forza Horizon 5 definitely has the wrong sound then for it (but that's neither here nor there).

You can zoom in and out in the livery, just click the right stick and there are three levels of zoom. I'm sure that at some point it will be changed to match FM5's click and hold then move the stick about for manual zoom.

I've not tried photo mode yet, but I know that it's not possible to do that - instead, there's a button which moves it into another corner to make it less obtrusive.

Ferrari 488 Pista got a new Forza Widebody kit. Finish this one with the help of the grind "technique". Quite a surprise seeing a Ferrari with widebody kit. Considering there are no widebody for Ferrari on FH4 and FH5. Styling is subtle and not very apparent unless you really take a look at it.

There is also option to remove the rear active spoiler entirely that is bugged with floating brake light.

Thanks, for some reason it wasn't working at all for me when I tried but I'll have another attempt at it tomorrow after work, still isn't as good as being able to adjust it more finely but it beats being 12 miles away from the livery you're working on!

If I'm being honest, the UI in this game is a bit of a confusing mess to navigate, the main menu is simple enough but actually diving deeper is where issues start to crop up, I've gotten lost quite a bit.
