I'm positive @PJTierney already briefly explained that it could come down to the people modeling the animation or interior just not knowing. It can be fixed in a patch at some point soon.
Easy mistake I suppose, the paddles at a glance look like shift paddles (even though they are marked with light and horn symbols), but the more baffling error with the car is the 3 different color seats. I am sure they will fix these issues, I have been seeing minor errors fixed on existing cars already.

Maybe the person here who saw them scan the car can confirm it, but I‘ve seen one of their pre-production prototypes having three different seat colors

Weird that both series got it wrong, I mean there's a huge gear stick right clear as day!

Easy mistake for a non car enthusiast, it would not happen in GT7 because everyone there is a huge car nerd. T10 needs more actual car nerds and less PR hype men.

Right.... That's why this thread exists on the forum. Because PD never made errors themselves.

Or that the history information on some cars has also been incorrect.

Edit* Or how even in the most recent update, these "huge car nerds" allowed exhaust & turbo mods on a Tesla.

This stuff happens, it's just oversight. It can be corrected at the end of the day in today's gaming industry.

Yes it is indeed an oversight, mr roboto. PD not knowing how cars sounded is a weird jab, that was obviously not how they wanted the cars to sound which is why they made them better and more accurate, you really think PD would miss such a thing on a car who's entire point is that it's a driver focused supercar with a manual shifter. All you've ever done is defend T10 whenever criticism is pointed out

GT does get stuff wrong too you know. Many cars from the old games have the wrong specifications, the worst of which being the Gillet Vertigo in GT4.

If by defending, you mean offering an explanation? Sure.

But hey, one can say all you ever do is come in here & hate. Be sure to see my edit above & tell me about what huge car nerds they are at Polyphony. Would love to know how one changes the oil on a Tesla.

You actually can it’s in GT auto when you’re putting aftermarket rims on, change a setting called rim width.
He-he, that`s far from anything called tuning, more like Mario Cart. Tuning means the possibility to finetune a cars
grip by picking the exact "right" tirewidth. Just upgrading power without this option gives no meaning.

FM struggles a bit here too when some cars running 195-tyres has 245`s as "next" option. Like the 1st gen Mustang. Anyone who has ever hotted up a 1st gen Mustang knows that there is no room for 245`s in front without totally rebuilding the front suspension

Oh my bad we’ll just ignore all the other tuning factors and options because you can’t put a specific size tyre on…

Stop being foolish you can fine tune cars in GT, Forza and other sims without any need to call any of them Mario Cart.

Ps just fitting wider tires when upgrading power doesn’t just solve your stability problems, completely ignoring things like bump(compression), rebound(expansion), springs(natural frequency) just shows your lack of knowledge in tuning

Edit: gear ratios also play a part in this

I also got the feeling pd has more passion for cars overall at least as of late, they also unlike turn 10 Scan they cars them self, but i am sure this takes up some of the resources, and might explain to the somewhat slow rate of new cars

Meanwhile all you ever do is come here and bash Forza and T10. Don't you see the hypocrisy in your post? PD clearly missed it from a QA standpoint, so I'm not sure why you even bothered to try and say they didn't.

Back to the current week in game: The 296GTB was... interesting. Fast, but manages to have both significant oversteer and nasty understeer when cornering.

But still, it's a fun car. Shame that so many AI competitors were using wide bodies (AMG GT-R, Viper and more) and the fitment bug is still there....

Does PD make mistakes too and have inaccuracies? Yes, but not in the same way T10 does. The whole point in the T50 is the manual shift ffs, it's the whole life essence of the car. Genuinely apart from the engine it's the biggest **** you to the auto industry going fully manual in all their hypercars and doing so ruining driver engagement. I just don't see how you can overlook that. PS hate is a strong word.

T10 deserve to be bashed with this release. The game is half baked, unfinished, graphically downgraded. T10 flat out lied about being built from the ground up. The game was busted on PC at launch, DLSS has only now started working correctly, RGTI was promised on PC and isn't here yet. So many errors carry over from the previous games. Same wonky legacy car models. The most bog standard and lifeless career mode. Zero engaging presentation (WTF happened since the wonderful FM4!? T10 are the masters of deceit and PR BS. Playground games DO NOT do this crap or have this terrible reputation with their fans like T10 do.

Have you seen the reception to this game? It's horrible.

Reviews: mostly negative.

I waited 6 years and paid £100 for this game and frankly I feel gyped, of course I'm going to be bitter..the game is slowly improving with every update so hopefully in a year or two it will actually be finished.

Meanwhile GT7 sits with a 2.3 user score on Metacritic.....

Forza? 7.6. Yes, it has less user reviews, but it's been out for a month. GT7 has been out for almost 2 years now and has 11, 726 user reviews.

Graphically downgraded?! Pfft, what about the so called premium models that were literally imported from PS2 models....

Didn't PD state GT7 would be a "return to roots?" It doesn't seem like it was either.

Lol isn't every game 2.3 on user metacritic score? Not the case on Steam.

And wow those are some sick Gran turismo 5 and 6 burns, great job. Try that for 7 which is FM23s competitor, not games from two generations ago.

And yes FM was downgraded from its initial gameplay trailer, in environment detail and raytraced reflections.

It's literally completely unplayable for me since they removed controller support on Steam with the last update. No response at all to any controller input.

Wait, what?

There's pretty clearly sone version to version QC issues going on here, and that fact is also clearly leading to some misunderstandings. You Steam guys are getting screwed.

They outsource their cars as well. There was even an article here about it at one point. Not sure why it matters if they're scanning it themselves if they're offsetting the work to someone else. Kind of defeats the point you're attempting to make.

And the whole life essence of the Tesla is that it's literally an electric vehicle that is absolutely incapable of doing the things shown in game. You're making a terrible point here. You're defending something in one game and blaming another game for doing exactly that. How does that even make sense?

If I recall correctly, they have up to 6 companies that they outsource for that work.

I’m not overlooking anything, merely explaining why it likely happened & how PD isn’t immune either.

What’s weirder is that you are the exact person @PJTierney already explained the issue too; the person animating doesn’t necessarily have to be a car nerd & may not know. Once more, it’s something that can be thankfully be corrected, esp. when T10 have already started correcting errors on other cars. Just takes time & patience.

Yes and I found it weird the Crew messed up too. It's like putting a Carrera GT in a game and having a paddle shift animation...I even remember Forza Motorsport 2 having manual shift animations for the correct cars and that was just a silhouette through the rear window. These details mattered to T10 once upon a time, when I think the company was thriving and passionate and things were only getting better, I really feel its indicative or how stagnant they are now in comparison. No they aren't as young, but you can bring in younger guns with fresh new enthusiasm for a well needed kick in the tuchus.

Steam is a tiny tiny portion of the FM23 player base. And is currently broken for controller users, so the score is to be expected.

The vast overwhelming majority of FM23 players are on Xbox or Gamepass (Xbox App on PC). Therefore the Steam score is such a tiny percentage of FM23 players as to be totally and utterly irrelevant.

So I guess we can apply it to both sides and assume that once upon a time PD used to care about the details? Still not sure why it's only being labeled to one side here.

What I would assume is that they both care, and that mistakes happen.

I think it’s more of an issue with whatever 3rd party is modeling the car & a lack of quality control. Maybe T10 doesn’t have the personnel to comb through it all or there’s guys who just miss it. Sadly, a growing byproduct of games getting bigger and more detailed all around.

I can't even believe you think T10 are even close to PD in terms of car details. PD deserve much needed criticism on their half arsed singleplayer mode but their details are anal to the point of ridicule from non car people.

I can't believe you put words in my mouth and are responding to things I never said.
