Well 1 thing is clear for me,

I just cant enjoy Forza Horizon 5 anymore since Motorsport. Because...... of the physics feels of the cars and sense of speed and even sound. And most bizar.... the ghrapics. But the feel of the cars is so mutch nicer on Motorsport. And for me even BETTER then GT7 (as a controller player) its just perfect!

And with all the comming updates i think it will be MY perfect car / race game! I enjoy it allot since the last update and when i finally have the Nordschleife back. Pvieuw....

Online is still didnt play realy but thats because it dont want to play in 60 fps.

Also the game FPS wise is also finally stable with VSYNC off in game on on in Nvidia settings.

Now hope they fix all the bugs that are still there like ray tracing not painted wheel or brack calipers etc and it will be near perfection.

Even with the safety ratings in place and penalties people will eventually find a way. Either getting bored and just trolling or by getting a high safety rating and then deciding to drive badly
My experience is that people driving dirty purely to troll people is rare at any sort of decent skill rating in competitive multiplayer racing games. The only game where I've done a lot of competitive multiplayer racing was GT Sport, and up to around 20k driver rating there was a fair bit of dirty driving that was purely due to lack of skill. That gradually declined as I went up from there, and by 30k driver rating, getting taken out by someone due to lack of skill became quite rare. What increased from 30k to 50k was people driving dirty to try to finish higher up the field (when dirty driving like that is permitted by the game, it becomes a matter of natural selection - people who do it will become higher rated), and by the time I got past 50k it had become so prevalent that I stopped playing. A good penalty system that penalises dirty driving slightly more than the gain provided by the dirty driving would address this, because the only motivation for the dirty driving is to finish higher up.

To me FM23 has really enjoyable car driving behaviour with a controller, so I agree there... However FH5 is still the perfect thing to play when you are tired and just want to chill rather than concentrating too much.

The bugs are still quite prevalent and do need fixing, but for me right now the only crucial one is to make the AI less stupid. They really need to be more aware of cars alongside them, and stop braking unnecessarily for corners. That alone will make such a big difference.

I agree except the graphics where I think Horizon has Motorsport beat. FM23 needs the RTGI it was promised!

I will say after these nice fat updates since release this game is better than it was in October. When I first played it then I gave it about a 6 but as of now before even update 5 rolls out its at around an 8 for me. I think once this big update 5 rolls out this week providing theres no new bugs introduced, theres some decent cars introduced into the career and they actually do fix all these things they said a few weeks ago and then some...my score for this game might get closer to a 9 say an 8.7. But thats a big IF. For me all thats left is fixing or adding a few freeplay tweaks, smooth out and pop out the graphics more and fix the car sounds plus the infamous AI but already know thats being worked on, then im good. Seems like one track a month is also helping to feed this game even if it was in previous forzas, they still look great being updated and full time of day/weather now.

While I have witnessed signs of competence from the AI here and there, mostly from 1-1 racing against the leading cars, it is most problematic when they are bunched close together, and there are always 1 or 2 cars with a rogue behavior that will either brake too late (divebomb) or swerve aggressively and attack you or the other cars. And of course, most brake in places they should not be braking and that also leads to crashes between them.

It's rather unbelievable that the AI in Grid Legends (please go check), a decidedly more arcade game, behaves so much better either collectively or individually. You do get challenging and fun racing from them.

I was playing second group of Open Wheel featured with my Subaru and there was surprise - all of opponents were oldtimers!

I hope so I I'll make it to finish on time remaining two groups and reward race before it close.

Can anyone confirm if the Open Class championships will close tomorrow and be lost forever, or whether I still have another two weeks to complete like the other monthly ones?

No one has answered this, so:
The current Open Class ends tomorrow and recycles into the next ones (which will have a different unlock car). So, if you want that classic Alfa you need to hurry!

Will it be available tomorrow early morning?
I have last series to complete, now too tired, going to sleep, it will be 11h evening.

I raced these with my Civic, slower on acceleration and top speed, but far better traction and brakes...

Thanks for the info. Yeah, forget that, I'm too ill to even sit up let alone sit behind the wheel... It'll teach me a lesson - get it done quickly!
First off, I hope you feel better soon! I just wanted to remind you that you can still do the open series AFK if you really want the Alfa. You don't have to finish on the podium. Participation is enough to get the reward car. Turn on all assists and let the game run itself. All you have to do is give the game some controller input every 15 minutes.

@nukleabomb I find it a bit weird that while the update launches tonight, T10 still haven't given us any form of update video yet. No livestream and not even a short Youtube video, like last time. No info on the new spotlight- or reward cars or what type of events there'll be. What's going on?🤔

I said the same thing. No teaser of any kind on Friday, not a peep on Monday and the only thing yesterday was something from ManteoMax that said update arrives around this time tomorrow which was roughly 1pm EST. Something seems weird about this. But best to just wait and see what happens this afternoon I guess...

I wonder whether they are testing the waters with how they communicate and release updates to the community, first it was the curated video last update, and then this, maybe they release a video upon release to show off the Ring, trying to keep it fresh in peoples minds, rather than a video 2 weeks before release and having the community waiting.

Nordschleife is huge for my enjoyment of this game, strange as that sounds - no other track delivers the feeling of freedom that one does, it's my time trial playground and - traditionally - where I've always come down on the Gran Turismo side of the fence on physics and feel. Much as this game isn't perfect it's the first Forza game for a long time that I suspect might give GT a run for it's money on this. Looking forward to seeing.
