I feel like this is a case of some extra/late bug fixes being added as part of the update. That could explain the 1 day delay for the update drop.

However, the silence regarding the content is puzzling. This could mean that it is a bunch of recycled cars, mainly because this update already has the Nordschleife as the headliner, as well as the large amount of fixes. It would be not great, as it will make it two updates in a row with recycled cars. Which would be unfortunate, as FH5 continues to add new cars pretty consistently.
Shame really, because they started off with some real big name cars in the updates.

Or it could be that a planned announcement/livestream was shelved last minute for whatever reason. It could be the Xbox stuff, it could be due to reception to the previous streams, or it is just unknown circumstance (to us). That still doesn't explain why a simple summary video isn't uploaded.

Silence right before what is the biggest update so far (as well as a delay) is not a good look, especially when their communication has been week before.

Either way I hope it goes smoothly. The cannot coast (or even seem to coast) right now.

Regardless of today's update, I would like some other things addressed in the future (one can wish):

I want the option to take the car out of the pits instead of the canned animation we have now, which at best is blurry and capped at 30 fps in the Series X, and at worst is uncapped but stuttery on PC (frame generation does help a bit.)

I would also like the option to go straight to the start of the race and skip the canned animations, which are lame.

I want a better cockpit GUI. I want the fuel gage separate from the tire status (which is rather useless since tires are always at the optimum temperature, like in PC3, and it doesn't display pressure changes) and a less obtrusive speedometer, which I had to remove for a less cluttered view. I want the option of moving the GUI elements around... In fact, just copy PC2 on this regard.

Some interior carbon fiber/piano black pieces just look awful (on the new BMW series 3, what is that in the base of the A-pillar???), I hope they eventually address that.

For paint/livery creation, I would also like it to have some of Grid Legends features: pick a pattern, pick your colors/finishes, pick your sponsors (or not), or some canned patterns too (PC3). And that greyish background has to go, or at least offer the option of a whitespace.

I want the ability for setting short, medium, long races in the tours, also, a remix option after finishing said tour would be nice.

Anyways, let's see what the upgrade brings...

When the hell is the update coming? How is people so sure that is coming today or tomorrow? This dudes at Turn10 don't even know who they work for anymore.... Hopefully this game continues to get better sooner rather than later.

Updates typically don't come this early in the morning. I'm willing to bet around 9AM-12PM PST is when you should expect it.

They're always the same time of day, but I can't remember for certain what it is. I think it's 6pm UK time, 2 hours from now, but could be an hour earlier or later.

My French is a bit rusty, but here's some more info on the update, thanks to Team Baguette 😉

The update is "coming tonight", whatever that means 🤔

I would like to see them fix how you are handed control of the car on rolling starts. Sometimes the car is very herky jerky and is in 1st gear but other times it's smoother and in 2nd gear.

Speaking of, it needs to recenter your wheel before giving you control, the amount of times I've started practice and immediately steered off into the wall is ridiculous, the process to restart after suffering the severe damage is painful

Yeah you're right, I remember that happening early on at Fraggle Rock in maybe the muscle car challenge I think.

Im glad they are giving us the combined GP version of the Nurb too which is great. And I guess they figure the Nurburgring should hold us over until April for the next track which it should. Although I was hoping for Sebring in time for the 12hrs next month.
