Listen to the youtube-video, after what I recall they includes it thereReading the blog it sounds like Nordschleife isn’t in Featured Multiplayer, which means I may never have a chance to race it as that’s effectively all I play.
I'm sure I saw this on five YouTube Nordschleife crash compilations alreadyView attachment 1328162
I told you I would make a boo-boo aboard a BMW in the usual places. It's tradition!
For some weird reason, the 1974 Porsche 911 RSR is listed under GTX Sportscars, where it should actually be in Vintage Le Mans Sportscars (even if it probably never raced at Le Mans, or orobably it did).
Oh and I tried rhe Nordschleife with a stock Bugatti Chiron and was disappointed, with a slow 6:58.2xx lap time.
EDIT:I wonder how's the PC performance is after the update
I'm getting 90 fps or so on the benchmark at high settings, with a CPU it claims to not support (i3 12100f) and a base card at this point (RX 6650 XT). That's better than the 80 fps I was getting before the update.I wonder how's the PC performance is after the update
I had a feeling they were going to do that which is just stupid, yet another car in the wrong division. But nothing that freeplay cant fix.I see I'll be doing some Porsche hunting...
They've got some cars in some really strange classes.
I've tested the Nordschleife now and I'm quite pleased! It's visually a big upgrade compared to FM7 in my opinion.
The track also feels bumpier and more accurate, when comparing it to all the onboards I've seen from Misha Charoudin's Youtube channel.
The trackside detail is better. There was still some instances of shadow pop-in however. Sometimes the trees are a bit too dense and doesn't quite look like real life. I remember that Digital Foundry noticed that as well in their analysis of Watkins Glenn.
Another less positive note is that the AI drives horribly on this track. Half of the field crashed before we even reached Schwedenkreutz.
I started my free play race in the evening with 24× time progression and I had an absolute blast. Very immersive! I was afraid that the floodlights would make the track too bright during night time, but thankfully it's mostly pitch black still!View attachment 1328186View attachment 1328187View attachment 1328188
I'm not used to doing something early, so seeing that I'm the 38th fastest is quite incredible. For reference, a relaxed A class rivals single lap nets you roughly 18k credits (with VIP) and 2+ carXP levels.
I can see myself spending a lot of time in that mode from now on
How often do they have those light fixtures? Is it only in certain sections or at regular intervals all around the track?I've tested the Nordschleife now and I'm quite pleased! It's visually a big upgrade compared to FM7 in my opinion.

Now that I think of it the 1974 RSR could be in either Vintage le mans sports cars ( which I cant be mad thats its not since its mostly 50s-60s cars) or GTX sports cars as I think it raced with the BMW 3.0 CSL thats in the game now. The main problem is the GTX division needs to get broken up into like 4 subdivisions . I do hope we get some more 70s GT cars like the De Tomaso Pantera, Ferrari 308gtb , Jaguar XJS group 44, and Datsun 240z.For some weird reason, the 1974 Porsche 911 RSR is listed under GTX Sportscars, where it should actually be in Vintage Le Mans Sportscars (even if it probably never raced at Le Mans, or orobably it did).

Sorry to bring this back up; has this been fixed? Decided to give it a go in Private Multiplayer & don't see any of the new cars. You can't "get" them so you can't tune/level/upgrade them, but you can drive them as rentals in private lobbies still, they haven't fixed it since game launch. Dunno if they know/care about it, or if they would even be able to fix it.
I was as wellWhy was I gifted an Acura ARX-05 DPI? Was anyone else gifted that?

Second one actually, but IMO the 2020 TT RS honestly feels more like a waste of space rather than a new car. We already have the 2018 model. What's different about the '20 model to even justify charging people money for an already existing car?Am I crazy or is this the first time a street car has been part of the car pass pack?
Even though they said the AI update is a work in progress it seems like they have been silently tweaking them in each of the last two updates. I have noticed a lot more cleaner racing, less pileups and greater competiton from the mid-back of the pack cars. They do still need tweaking in the braking areas and random side swipes here and there but they are better then before. They really need to nerf the AI that ends up in first place too, I cant ever seem to catch first place once they get a couple seconds lead on me.I just ran a 2-lap race with my AM Vantage at A694 but most of the field was in the lower S700.
What a revelation, the AI was well behaved all through the race: No pileups in the first turn, no rogues and no sideswipes. While they are still very cautious when braking, at least they do it in logical places, and if you have them beat they will allow passing. Also, big gains in PC performance: At some point I hit 120 fps in high settings with minor stutters here and there.
Next, I will test the Series X.
