I look forward to a field of Trans Am cars!
You’d be surprised, sometimes an animation artist isn’t a “car guy” because the actual skills required to animate a model don’t require that. It helps of course when working on a car game but isn’t necessary.T10 need to sort their quality control out. But also, how can you be a car enthusiast and not know the T50 is manual only? PD would not make this mistake
That is the most loaded car pass i have ever seen:
Yeah I think im sold on the car pass I have to get it. So many nice race cars are incoming its not even funny. I just hope T10 is in their right minds and plan on bringing back plenty of race cars and regular cars from past forzas to help balance things out and for people who dont get the car pass they can enjoy some cars too. Cars like the 90s IMSA 300zx GTO, both the porsche 917/30 and the 935 Moby D, the plethora of race cars from FM2-4 that would overflow LMP, P2, GT, V8 upercars and touring car classes. And this list of cars dosent take into account the next 4 car pass cars coming Dec-Jan which I believe were the 2021, cadillac dpi, corvette TA, a buick trans-am from the 80s and the mazda dpi. That is the most loaded car pass i have ever seen:

Lol, probably the same way it "simulates" KERS and the like...Not to sound snarky, I like this game a lot but it does have some limitations.Speirling has to be X-Class, right? Wonder how the game will simulate the suction though.
Normally I’d say yes it would be a downforce multiplier but this car can produce peak downforce from a standing start.Lol, probably the same way it "simulates" KERS and the like...Not to sound snarky, I like this game a lot but it does have some limitations.
Would imagine they'd probably just add a multiplier to the downforce file? Seems like the simple way around it?
That could also work, or just get rid of the speed multiplier entirely from the equation and just have peak right off the hop, which I suppose would be the correct way to do it.Normally I’d say yes it would be a downforce multiplier but this car can produce peak downforce from a standing start.
If they’re going to fudge it, maybe they just multiply the tyre grip by some big value instead?
I been preaching this since the game came out. If they cant make 4-5 new divisions and move a few dozen cars around then its pure laziness or a major oversight. I will mess around and go to T10 headquarters and do it myself if I have to. The GT class SHOULD NOT be grouped with 6 different classes within one. And the Lambo Essenza belongs in modern factory racers. With all the racing cars included in the car pass and those that may arrive in the future, a new organization of the classes is necessary.
There will be enough GT3, GTE, Trans Am, TCR, BTCC, Supercars... to be separated into their own division.
You're probably right regarding multiplayer. As much as I agree, grouping them into GT does give us the opportunity to compete with all these machines whenever we like, and even if they did include permanent lobbies for transams and V8 supercars etc, they would most likely be empty as everyone just heads to the GT3's due to their popularity.
Alternatively the GT series alternates between the divisions each week, but I'd imagine this will be very unpopular.
If aero in Forza works anything like it does in Assetto Corsa, it shouldn't be too hard to give the car a proportionate amount of downforce at 0kph to simulate the S U C C. Of course, it'd be a rough simulation that doesn't take into account what happens when the car isn't into ground effect - to do that they'd have to, at the simplest, script the car to lose that downforce boost if it's riding above a certain height, which is something not easily achieved with simple DF curves.Speirling has to be X-Class, right? Wonder how the game will simulate the suction though.
The camaro TA was leaked a month ago that will also be incoming eventually. Probably the last of the cars on the car pass list not shown, in a future car pack or maybe even a spotlight car down the line.If aero in Forza works anything like it does in Assetto Corsa, it shouldn't be too hard to give the car a proportionate amount of downforce at 0kph to simulate the S U C C. In any case, I guess we'll see how the game copes with suction cars when we'll get our hands on the T.50? That one also comes with a big sucker in the back.
.
It's nice to see T10 is already giving Modern Trans Am cars some love. We're basically a Camaro short of a full grid already, aren't we? Hopefully some of the big race organizers will pick on that soon and give us a Trans-Am league - it would certainly be a decent replacement for TORA's TASCAR...
I'm hyped for the Lotus 35 and 98T!
The 2019 Toyota 86 TRD SE is the facelifted Toyota 86, if I'm not mistaken. The Audi TT RS is a bit disappointing because it was added to FH5 about a year ago, and the Toyota 86 seems a bit odd.
The rest of list is pretty fantastic though.
The developers really are putting the Motorsport into Forza Motorsport. This is what I signed up for.
All I know is that Hakone would be getting "mountain" layouts and the Nordschleife is coming.I wish there was a leaked track list somewhere, that would be great to know what these awesome cars will be raced on besides the little we have.
I get that, but just surprised it made it past every single person that saw it at T10, beyond the artists. Maybe they are already aware of it and will fix in the future, as that is how games seen to roll these days, release semi-finished and patch up laterYou’d be surprised, sometimes an animation artist isn’t a “car guy” because the actual skills required to animate a model don’t require that. It helps of course when working on a car game but isn’t necessary.
Sometimes it can be a simple oversight or somebody not having appropriate reference data available to know the right thing to do.
Related, we had a car in WRC recently where the driver was pulling the handbrake instead of using paddle shifters, that got patched. It’s an easy fix once identified.
I thought they looked a little`matt`finish originally but since the update they look fine on my XSX.If im in bonnet cam the reflections look okay as do the paint on the cars, this is in Perf Rt mode for me.Is anyone else bothered by the quality of the paint/reflections on the cars? They are flat and lifeless and at times it looks like I'm driving a Burago model around... And this even in quality mode on the Series X.
This is not the game promised in the official trailer...
You can drive all the unreleased Car Pass cars currently added to the game as well as all the unreleased "Featured" cars in a private lobby right now and try it out. I rarely drive hypercars as they aren't really my thing (spent more time in the Merc GT3/Peugeot and MG TCR/MX5 Cup before it was released), so I guess I don't have a ton of reference for comparison, and I only drove it for like 2 laps, but I didn't notice anything about its handling that made me think it had anything fancy working on it.In any case, I guess we'll see how the game copes with suction cars when we'll get our hands on the T.50? That one also comes with a big sucker in the back.
It might be one of the "Featured" cars instead of a Car Pass car. Given all the complaints about lack of race cars for career mode, it would make it sense for them to chuck a GT3 series in the next Featured Career Tour where the Lambo could be the Featured car that releases on the same day the series opens up.One minor criticism is that the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO was previously seen in FH5, so putting it in the Car Pass would be out of place as it's more of "New to Motorsport" rather than "New to Forza as a whole".
