Forza

Your body roll comment is still the dumbest thing you've said and you're just a bragger.

You still only talk about the P2.

Exactly. I though the unmodified Nissan 350zx was a biatch to drive. Every car felt so different in the Forza demo.

the p2 should be the hardest car on the demo damnit! How would it seem for a viper to be harder to drive than p2 car? Anyway, the body roll in forza is pathetic. I have driven the Evo and it moves like a block on wheels; like it has no weight. The cars just feel and look empty.

I rest my case your honor. How can we believe you have play the demo with comments like that ?

I found the GT4 Demo with many assists off as possible to be alot easier then the Forza but then I never can drive cars with a pad. And yes I love the GT4 Demo, and yes I drive it alot. But I am pissed of at GT4 that you can hit the gas pedal as a crazy beaver humping a log and guess what? No problems, you can down shift too quickly in GT4 Demo and guess what? No problems. I want problems there!

Look empty?

At least you can see inside them.

GT's nothing but a black area.
I didnt mean it like that. I mean like no engine inside, they look like toy cars honestly. I'm aware of the interiors but they all look weak and unrealistic but hey, atleast the game has interiors that can be seen.

you can only cut off the asm :|

Engine sounds? OMG< that's funny.

The engine sounds are perfect in this game. They don't sound like the same repeating thning.

And again with the graphics. Jeez.

Ok but there is no sign that there will be problems there and I hope CobratGT is wrong on how bad Forza will be but I hope he is right how good GT4 will be. I really hope you cant hit the gas pedal too hard or downshift too quickly. So far you can and thats making my little heart break everytime I hit the gas pedal too hard for I want it to start pumping like crazy while my brain goes "What the **** did you do there you" as I try to fix my misstake.

engine sounds are better but they aren't perfect.

no, actually there are black ppl behind the tinted windows - eg. u can see them lean forward when hitting the brakes - try to concentrate on the drivers in replay when the camera angle is right ;)

You mean gt4? If not, why are you talking about gt3? When I get the gt4 demo, I'll compare the 2 and see how easy forza is with abs and tsc on. That will be a way better comparsion than comparing forza with all aid off and gt4 with aid on.

I know that, but the only real human like person are the drivers of the F1 cars.

Even the Prototype drivers actually move their heads when they turn and brake.

1 thing I like about Forza is the ability to see the car's brakes glowing. I know this was in GT3, but Forza's is way more realistic. At least you can actually watch it become brighter when going into the turn and the brightness fading when your coming out of the turn.

Much better than GT3's.

Your point is flawn. Microsoft said from the start, they were going to make assist to dumb the physic so casual game could enjoy the game as much as hardcore player.

The only way to compare is GT4 demo and Forza Demo with all the assist off. I turned off every option available in both demos and GT4 was more forgiving.

I suggest you all try forza with the abs and tsc on and see how easy it is.

But GT3 was very easy too with aids on, too easy. Nevertheless, you praised the game a lot so where's the part I missed?

See ya :sly:

I think you all are missing my point. I'm saying turn the abs and tsc on in forza so you can have a better comparsion since abs and tsc can't be cut off in the gt4 demo.

Please research your arguments before making them, otherwise you end up sounding biased, ignorant and stupid. well done fanboy you made the grade! 👍

I don't know if we are playing the same demo because i have seen some pretty smart AI so far. Of course once in while they will hit you but nowhere near GT4 where all they do is follow a driving line.

It's amazing that you seem to know what the AI is like in GT4... Only PD truely knows, but somehow you have the inside scoop... Please educate me on your fact finding prowess... If you were reffering to GT3, then I completely agree... (the GT4 demo does not showcase the finished data)

GT4's AI is indeed stated to avoid hitting your car, as well as working on the vendetta system... If you give another vehicle a hard time (cutting them off, hitting them, causing them to spin, etc...) the driver will remember and work harder at getting even... (i.e driving more agressively)...

Forza looks to be a great game, and the AI looks promissing... However, GT4's AI is still shrouded in mystery (for the most part), as is common with PD...

They both look to be great games that each offer a somewhat different experience... Forza can't touch GT4's car list (not by a long shot), but GT4 doesn't have the engine swap option... Forza has an extensive paint creator option, while GT4 looks to not have such a feature (supposedly)...

Furthermore, they are on different consoles, and thus not in direct competition with one another (as I have said numerous times already)... Those who own X Boxes will surely buy Forza... Those who own PS2's will surely go for GT4... For those lucky enough to own both consoles, both games will most likely be purchased...

Why is everyone getting so uptight about which game is better?... They are both quite different and will each offer a unique gaming experience...

Today I did something ive never done before.
I ran Prologue with the lotus elise 190 on Fuji, firstly on road tyres, no assits and manual, and for the first time ever, I used the DS pad. (previosly only ever driven with DFP, road tyres and no assits)
I managed after five laps to pull off a 1.47xxx, after a few minor off road incidents, and slides
Then I set the same run up, but this time I used Assists, and the Normal(arcade) tyres, and was astounded when my first lap from a standing start 6th on the grid i beat my fastest time above.
All the grip and assits made it pure arcade nonsense, completely unrealistic, not once did i come near to losing it.
It wasnt simulating anything like real life.

My points is theres no point comparing, anything which has assits which detract from the full physics engine, the level of assistance in each game will be different, and that is all basically down to how much the developer wants to help out the player with these functions.

You will only be able to compare like with like when you can get both games down to their bare bones.

Mostly all rumour established by sites and mags, mostly as some sort of overun from the much talked about GT3 AI that failed to appear and somehow has been interepreted that this is what is expected for GT4, Theres never been any direct media from PD about this, or anything much to do with the new AI, other than that KAZ said he thought that the AI was about 1-2% of what he would be happy with for the level of the AI for GT.

Let me address every single point mention in your post.

You ask me where did I get my GT4 information ? From the GT4 Japanese Demo that I've download this week. It may not be the final product but what I have seen in the demo so far is just a slight improvement compare to GT3.

Forza is nowhere close the GT4 list. let me add that PS2 still have the Logitech Wheel Pro availabe and so far no wheel has been official announce yet for Forza.

I own both console and of course I will buy and enjoy both. I think there alot more fanboyism in some members *cough* CobraGT *cough* that I do.

So far I like the new feature of Forza. I wish GT4 has the same or similar option available. Especially the Online portion.

Great point there no doubt but it isn't fair how people here are saying gt4 is so forgiving when you can only cut off the asm in the demo.

Well, I aplaud you for replying in a courteous manner... Some of the other members could definitely learn from your tact...

I'm shocked that there hasn't been a Force Feedback wheel scheduled for release for Forza yet... That is something they need to get started on very soon (if they haven't already)...

I will be buying all 3 games...

3 you say?...

Yes, I will be purchasing GT4, Forza, and last but certainly not least, Enthusia... Enthusia looks to be the real contender when it comes to physics... So far, I am pretty unimpressed with Forza's physics. However, I cannot make any solid judgement, as neither game is finished...

I am overjoyed that there will be 3 top simulation racing games released within the next year (for console)... We (as sim fans) have never been treated to such a cornucopia of sim goodness before... Be thankful...

;)

I remember hearing about gt4's physics really being worked for the drifting portion of the game. I believe this info came from Kaz directly, could anyone find this?
