Forza

Bottom Line,
GT4 - Playstation Owners
Forza - XBOX Owners

-Both have Pros and Cons either will "own" each other. Just like the KillZone and Halo 2 argument, they are both games and Halo 2 appealing to the polar oppisite audience that KillZone appealed to. Games are designed to attract different audiences and these will both do that. These games just have a distinct difference, consoles.

Both games will be great I am sure. Kudos to the designers.

As for me, I tried Forza demo for about 2 laps of Laguna Seca with Ferrari open prototype and it felt really good. Using stick control was rather difficult but I definitely saw the potential of Forza. In fact, if I had XBox I would not hesitate getting Forza. I think you guys are being too harsh on Forza.

As for GT4, it cannot come soon enough. I will also get Enthusia Racing. Think about it. 3 great racing games all in about 2 months difference. That is racing heaven.

Now, where is that darned Racing Legends . . .

killzone...appealed to people?

hehe. just kidding.

not really.

One thing I can complain about in these games is that there is not enough of the real everyday cars on the street. I know that NFSU and NFSU:2 made all these cars seem like piles of rice regurgatation but, actually some of these cars have potential. For instance the First generation Eclipse, lighter than the 2G and equipped with a strong BOV and a larger stock turbo, why that car isn't in the list, I couldn't tell you. Maybe the could re-evaluate the list an start adding more generic street cars in future video games.
:odd:

I steer in GT3 with L3. ^_^

I played the Forza demo, and it had me frustrated...like, lots. Maybe it's me, but the analog feels...umm...twitchy. In PGR2, it took me a little while to get ued to it, but I got over it. I don't understand why I can go back and forth between PGR2 and GT3 and be fine, but just a few minutes in Forza and my left eye starts doing that...that twitchy...thing...

...oh dear, it's doing it again...

"You will bring us...A SHRUBBERY!" (sp?) hehe.

Anyway, since people are so anxious to call Forza a GT clone that uses all the same cars, here is a list of cars from Blackmagix "official" list on Forzacentral that are not in GT4. This is from an incomplete list, mind you, because the developers have been quiet about their confirmed cars.

XBOX does seem to have touchier controls, which will make some Forza players mad but, I think the biggest complaint will be from the GT4 players who are switching over to play both games. They will complain like never before.

That ABFlug RX-7 angers me. It's so disgusting. :yuck:

As an RX lover, it makes me sad to see such a bodykit and spoiler befouling the image of the...sexy...car...ok now I'm babbling.

Not blabbling, more like being opinionated.

-I do like the fact Forza is bringing in the TSi Talon, as you tell by my name it is my favorite car in the world by lets say, 125,768,293.3 Crutons.... 👍

yeah, it's quite gaudy. But so is RE anemiya's selection of kits (not sure how to spell his name). A lot of Japanese people like it. Go figure.

yeah. the DSMs were/are some of the baddest cars on the streets. Over here.

ermm... why do you keep posting about it then?

find solace in abstinence.
Posting my opinions like everyone else. My only issue with the game are it's physics, despite how adamantly against the game I seem. Call me an over-opinionated GT fan. I get paid to tell people Forza is an awesome game so we make a sale. This is my chance for retribution.

Now an "exhaust" mind you dosn't -have- to have a 13" tip, or tips. Any performance exhaust xan have as little as an 4" tip. Of course, creating a little more back pressure.

Back pressure is always bad... I understand what you are trying to get at, it's just not the correct terminology... Also, usually exhausts can go from 5" to as low as 2" on race modified vehicles with custom exhausts... The size of the pipe isn't quite as important as the bends (flow) of the pipe... I had a friend who had an '89 Mazda 323 GTX (AWD) with a turbo puting out upwards of 280 HP to the wheels (depending on boost pressure), and he had what looked like a stock 2" exhaust.. In reality it was all custom 2" piping (mandrel bent) straight pipe... That car was one of the most exciting vehicles I have ever had the privilege of riding in...

I always laugh when I see Civics with dual exhausts coming out the back... All those unecessary bends creating back pressure and killing response... Dual exhaust doesn't make sense on anything but V-Type engines (because they require a pair of headers)... Any other type of engine, you need to split a single pipe into two parts creating back pressure (to varying degrees depending on the quality of the bends)...

;)

Oui Oui Moiseur!

Exactly, you know thats what I ment, but hey what do I know I am just a stupid 16 year old lol. I do know a lot about DSM's though. lol back pressure is huge with turbos... :)

From what I read about Forza... is that this game is more american oriented. It has cars that touches the gamers in America on a more personal level. I don't have an Xbox because i think its a hack from microsoft (you can almost assemble your own xbox), but i hope that Forza will give GT4 a good competition so GT5 will kick even more ass!!!!
Drool... GT5 on PS3.. i wonder what that will be like.....
