Alfa hasn't been boosted I overhauled the set up ie gearing and bob set up to make it more stable and faster.

Can't be that wrong if I'm running into the limiter if it's getting me up to the top.

Same happened with the range rover, set it up normally and it was mid field then changed it so it ran into the limiter before the end of the straight and it started winning races.

Seemed to work for red bull over the last 4 years aswell :)

The Evoque was overpowered to begin with when Furi gave it even more power during the season, because someone complained that it didn't have enough top-speed (which was down to the fact that this someone had set the Evoque's gears so short that -surprise- it lost all its power at top speed). That's the main reason it was (too) fast.

The Alfa is at least balanced with the other cars this season, so it's ok, if it dominates on some tracks. :P

Actually your slightly wrong. The range rover was giving a power boost after spa and before the nurburgring race, the gearbox wasn't changed till nurburgring it was spa I was complaining it needed abit more power as even with rpm left I was getting out dragged not that I was running out of revs.

I actually asked furi to reduce the power on the Alfa but in turn to reduce the weight to help with chassis balance but he decided against it.

The Evoque had a really good chassis, but awful power. It did need a boost, because a car that is loosing out 2 car lengths on the Kemmel straight in the draft is too much. But oh well...

I think the Hondas could be faster I noticed when I was over taking them I was hitting the limiter at 138mph and they were pulling another gear.

At the nurburgring I noticed when I was over taking the Hondas I was on the limiter at 138mph and you guys were then selecting 6th gear which to me I would guess they are geared to 163-165mph and the only track on the calendar you would get close to that would be spa.

If the gearing was reduced I think it could vastly improve the performance of them.

With the Ford we run longer gears to make it better in the corners as it likes the lower revs in the corners, that's why we take gears that would normally be 3rd in 4th which makes it more responsive.

We barely use the revs at all, at Silvo I didn't even use 6th gear.

I made the gears slightly longer and found 0.2 from it on the first lap when I first tried it.

I'm still confused. Are you saying that they could be faster with better gearing, or something else?

Don't let him confuse you. None of these cars are faster, if you run into the limiter on the straights. On the other hand, if he's already in the limiter and you're only just shifting into 6th, your gear setup might actually be too long. Depends on how far the straight we're talking…

I remember always having a rather small difference between 5th and 6th in the Honda. It helps squeeze out that last extra hp for top speed, which the Honda has close to the red line, so you need high revs in 5th and 6th.

Sssh I'm secretly trying to get people to limit their gearing to 100mph.

Yeah, those VTEC engines sure love high revs...

Now regarding the Nissan, I noticed some improvement since I setup the gears closer together and between 2nd and 6th ranging 60-100% (I use Praiano's gearbox calc sheet to help me fine tune the ratios)...
That means I have a longer 2nd gear (as 1st gear is only used for starts), but then I get to keep revs within powerband for longer...

I already have my Honda's ratios for 5th and 6th pretty much as short as possible. Always geared to max out just before it hits the limiter in slipstream on the longest straight. Still get completely destroyed in a straight line by the Alfa and Renault, they just pull away from me even when I am right behind in the slipstream.

Hoping to get at least 1 independent victory but will probably need to win all of the 6 remaining races (indy wise) to get the championship as @Holdenhsvgtsr will be quick at both rounds

I've just seen the 10bhp decrease for the Renaults and all I'm going to say Furi is just because Andy is one of the fastest guys here and the fact that I'm getting fairly good results does not mean that we deserve to loose 10bhp.

That just means we are going to be in last place all the god damn time - we have a big enough problem with cornering so taking away out only strong point means we stand no chance. Now I know it's because you're trying to get at me but this is 🤬 stupid.

Another reason you're doing this is to essentially let Nin take the overall Championship because you don't want an new driver to TOCA to win on his first attempt.

I tell you what Furi, I have you 🤬 figured out - it doesn't take a damn genius to see what you're doing.

A massive loss of respect for Furi here... 👎

Takes one to know one i suppose.

OMG you took it personally?

I only posted that because you reminded me of Lauda's comment regarding Vettel complaining over the radio during his battle with Alonso... wasn't aimed at you... jeez
