So then I am the only one actually experiencing snap oversteer. Just kill me now.

No, it does have snap oversteer. And when it goes correcting it slows you way down. The Lexus, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be affected by going sideways.

If you had taken the time to check stewards conversation, you would've seen that I simply answered "Nope", without having been asked to give any reason(s) for my answer, and also that it was Panoz who said that with so many races featured in a ToCA season, a dropped score wouldn't make much of a difference

I think with the existence of a dropped score weekend I would be a 1- or even 2-time champion. So, I would say it does make a difference.

Although … if something like this would be introduced, I wouldn't just omit one weekend, it could be simply the worst 3 races per year. That could take care of the worst mishaps that occur to people without their fault (connection issues, lag, etc.).

On the race schedule … I think it's the race host's prerogative to choose when the races are. If he chooses to make a 2-week break, so be it. You can hardly expect the schedule to coincide with everyone's plans after all.

From what I have read at least half a dozen drivers can't make at least 1 week (3 rounds). Basically if you don't attend 1 week then you don't stand much chance of winning the championship. Having drop rounds does make a difference, it allows more drivers to stand a chance of winning.

Reasons I am off 2 weeks:

1: I'm at Oulton Park with @paulmac2k9 . I know @hsv010 will be there.. @Holdenhsvgtsr may have commitments as well on a hunch.
2: Le Mans weekend. Only time it's EVER been raced on was last year as a special super weekend of GTE and WSC.

Chill Yera, it's 342hp v 343hp we're talking about, hardly going to make a bit of difference on lap time.

Sometimes a difference like this make the car faster by a couple of tenths on each track. There's just no knowing how much a car is affected by adding a part that nominally boosts power by "only" 1 hp or 2 PP, like in this case, because the PL could hurt a car's drivability (power cut in used power range) or give you an undervalued PP figure that you could benefit from (power cut in unused power range). It's different for every car. And if you're trying to find out how a car measures up against the opposition, even one tenth up or down is sort of vital.

A point about people missing weeks. Note who is the 1 person who tries 100% guaranteed to have everything running, on plan. Tables (not forgotten Clios), specs, thread organisation, lobby hosting, stewarding, managing threads..... Me...

This has had 220 races and 10 seasons with me at the helm, and ToCA4.1 never started and was 3,000 posts in without a race ever being counted . I think I am doing a fairly decent job here. Apologies if it sounds sharp from me, but fact is i'm the one working hardest here.

Sometimes it pays to bear in mind that this a game we play in our spare time, and not what defines our lives as well. Giving grace for other stuff is well worth it.
This. I can't make R1 or R8 because I'm at Snetterton and Donington respectively.

Would really appreciate a drop score of some sort otherwise there's really little point in it.

Furi you've already worked your social life into the race calendar so would be good to help others out too.

👍

To be honest, since every other car that raced in T10 was upgraded, it wasn't that far fetched that the Honda also had an upgrade of its own, no matter how small... especially considering the Ford (the champion's car) shed 58kg and only lost 10hp...

Agree on all of this, but I was more trying to get that a "week wasted" was a bit over the top.

Of course an ECU or a Filter will make some difference, but when that difference is the equivalent of 1bhp or 1PP (and therefore a very minimal difference in torque too), it's not exactly going to transform the car. It will still be pretty obvious as to how the car drives, and how it compares to others.

Whether the car is too quick or too slow is another matter, I've only driven the Megane so can't comment.

What about the standard cars? They don't have unpainted hoods.

Then obviously then you can only have the painted one.... note in OP:

~IF YOU ARE PART OF A TWO CAR TEAM YOU MUST USE THE PAINTED CARBON BONNET. INDEPENDENTS MUST USE THE BLACK CARBON BONNET IF IT IS AVAILABLE~

I'm interested in this series... can you sign me up as "Taffyta Muttonfudge Racing"? I'll choose a car later.

You can't sign up yet @TheLuigi755
But I have a bit of testing knowledge know. The Mazda feels slow, but is fast, and the Hyundai is medium, and feels like it is a nerfed f1 car

Time to go back and revisit a bit of action for me at Spa in Season 10...
Think this is a good representation of the incident! :P

Ignore Snail, he got mixed up. Sign ups are open but car selections are not yet.
