Parked on Dottinger after an accident. Contact between Joe and Sig has just led to Plux assuming the lead.

FFS man If I hadn't spun 3 times during the night in the rain I could well have won from 15th...

After I got used the the weather I started to slowly reel in the leaders.

Lost about 35 seconds on driver error and 20-30 by starting at the back

Not sure what happened at the start. Some people don't seem to know what to do when the green flag drops.

People where still trundling around at the first corner = concertina effect = damaged car

IKR? There was a group of about 6 cars at the back which I got stuck behind after everyone was sleeping at the start. Also, no worries about the crash ;)

Pretty sure that was my first ever 24hr simulation race, needless to say it was disastrous...

Right at the start I got rear damage from a shunt (it was like everyone started then suddenly stopped again), then while trying to drive and manage the changed balance crashed twice over the lap. Pitted, then on lap 3 touched the barrier going onto the Nordschleife which instantly stopped my car and gave me full damage, so had to crawl around all over again...

Ended up a few minutes down in the first two laps which I was never really able to recover from. When the rain stopped and I pitted I forgot to switch the tyres back to SS :banghead: so again another lap crawling around. At least I have learned what to expect from a 24hr race for next time:dunce:

*from the Nordschleife. Not even Le Mans or Spa are as punishing.

I knew I had the pace to finish on the podium and knew the Jags were about 5 seconds a lap faster but I was running 2nd most of the time. Plux pitted 1 more time than me and Joe pitted 4 more times than me I believe.

For me it was a race of highs and lows... finally got the chance to enjoy a proper wet race as the 250 GTO actually handles itself properly in the wet (unlike the Berlinetta)

So here goes:

Had a weird spin on lap 2 coming to the end of the GP section and then made a few more smaller mistakes due to some overdriving drom my behalf while trying to gain on Snow.
Then the rain came and I gambled and pit early for RW while Snow stayed out. While it took some time for the water on surface to rise it wasn't such an issue as the grip as similar to that of SS tyres on ~10% water on surface...
The gamble paid as Snow spun when the track got very wet and I was able to barely pass him when he pitted. After that it was a cat-and-mouse chase the rest of the race as every time I made a mistake and he got closer, I either was able to grow a gap or he would follow my mistake with one of his own (the gap probably was always below 10 seconds with a wet track).
When the rain stopped I didn't notice at first that the track was at 0% so only after I exited the GP section I switched the chip (sort to say) and increased the pace which in the end led to me making a stupid mistake and getting the only damage of my whole race on a dry track after enduring so long in the wet, which ended the discussion over the win in GT-O in Snow's favour...

Well that was a race and a half. Qualifying was a nightmare as it rained on my only flying lap consigning me to 5th place and with the single file start I knew that gaining places would be tough. I got Furi on the start and then was caught behind Jammy before we came together as his braking point completely caught me be surprise.

So then tried to pull the gap back to Panoz and Nin (Joe was long gone) and had caught some of the gap when Joe destroyed the Jag. This meant as we got into the wet I was just behind Nin with Joe leading again and Panoz not far back. I had a really hard time in the wet this time and was being very careful not to get damage and through Nin's and Joe's mistakes I ended up in the lead holding up Joe for 3 laps before his crash with Sig meant he had to pit one lap before the rain ended so I could go straight onto the dries and hold off the others... Mostly worried about the internet dying after I heard Joe was on the wrong tyres

A great race and good to get a win in the season after last time out having such issues...

Had the race of my life especially the first half managing to stay with them and even catch up slightly during the first wet lap and was even at the rear of @snowgt at one point.

Made a few little errors before my only bit of damage happened on lap 8 around Kallenhard which put me a minute behind which was key as I managed to switch to dries a lap before the leading 2, I didn't gain as much time as I thought I would of as I only gained around 10 seconds. A few laps not pushing meant I finished around 1:30 behind the GT winner
