Just one thing to add: the two Ferraris are so much lighter they'll probably be a bit frisky in the wet.

EDIT: Additionally, if the GTO has a wider tyre like O'rama said, that would affect its performance in the wet (depending on whether it's modeled in GT).

And I just set my fastest Bathurst lap ever in this car, thought I messed up and found I had 0.9 potentially to come...

I didn't think that what I said would start that, but oh well.

The one thing about the GT-O is tyre wear. Snow was considering a one-stop at Matterhorn. For everyone else, that just isn't possible, so even if didn't have his blistering pace, he would've won by a margin anyway (That is if he kept out of trouble). That is all.

Still has a performance drop off similar to other cars however.

This is my final word on the 250GTO "issue" Which is not really an issue in any way.

I would see an issue if all the 250GTO's had dominated the first 3 races. But they haven't. Snow was legit the fastest driver at Brands. Yera kept him honest at N24 whereas lets face it - don't blame your cars - half of you just fell off the road running out of talent (can include myself there). At Matterhorn at the end ultimately, Snow was barely a pit stop ahead of Rofl. If he had to pit it would have been mighty close.

Now what have we got next?

Daytona Road - Straights mainly.
Bathurst - Straights mainly but the 250 GTO's chassis will shine in the middle of the lap.
Monza - I think we all know the answer.
Silverstone - Little mix of both. Then changeable weather as well.
Spa - Mainly fast. Weather though...
Le Mans - pure pace. A GTO weakness. Remember the Corvette train last season?

Far as i'm concerned, it is (and sorry to the person who it is but it is pal) some sour grapes as they've ended up getting caught in incidents first 2 races and wrecked before they have had a chance. I've already said the Lotus is coming in future. Another car is as well, and the Jaguar and BMW get dropped from this line up end of season. And replying... "but" "grumble" "mutter" "moan" "bah humbug" from anybody won't get stuff done. If ya struggling, get some set up advice. I mean even bloody Ryan of all people has managed a respectable Daytona pace with some tuning help. Focus on your own campaigns and leave the BoP / organisation issues with the fella who has to do the whole of this pretty much organisation wise - me.

Seriously all you guys do is turn laps, turn up and race. I'm the one who in any series I run gets the BoP complaints, the "my car can't do this", "this track is too hard", and also has to maintain all the OP rules, tables, and make sure i'm free on a weekly basis. So you lot got it easy.

Rant over. I'm going to run some Bathurst laps perhaps later on today - far as i'm concerned i'm all set for Daytona after the Roar.

Plus, I'd like to add that I have run laps by myself and on request with cars other than my own on every track so far and I managed to be inside of 0.6s to my GTO time with every single one on every single track so far, and that's given the fact that I naturally have run more with my own car and therefore probably gain an extra couple of tenths from tweaking settings a little more than with the other cars. That margin is well within what's to be expected in a BoP for cars like these with tracks as different as in WSC.

I don't think it's necessary with the tracks to come, because they are all different in nature so everything will have shifted, but I would even offer to run demonstration laps with any car, if someone thinks their car is at a disadvantage. I've also provided hints on how some of the cars need to be driven in order to harvest their potential. (That's more important than some might think) To assume that many of you need the assistance would be pretentious though as most of you have enough experience, but I'll offer it anyway, if someone wants it.

If someone is interested I will also disclose the setup I have tested a particular car with so that can be taken out of the equation. All of them are from tunes published on GTP, by the way, since I can't tune to save my life.

I do think transparency is important in a BoP, and I'm prepared to offer every insight into the reasons why it is like it is or listen to concerns about a certain car's classification, but if you haven't run the whole field on several different types of tracks, please don't assume you can judge, if the field is balanced over the whole season or not. You cannot judge from comparing driver A with car B and driver C with car D on track X. Too many variables.

I know the situation with me doing the BoP and racing in the series myself is less than ideal as some people might suspect I'm giving myself an unfair advantage, but I'll welcome every capable driver that's willing to spend the in-game credits and time to join me in testing all cars. Maybe we get some GT-P talent for the all GT-O series to evaluate the BoP - more data will always yield more accurate results.

Lobby still open - been running a full 2hr time simulation for Bathurst. Seems it will be pretty much 50/50 darkness/light.

Soo you still taking reserves? Thought I'd sign up as one in the GT-P class.

(actually plux made me do this because he misses me so much, don't know how much time I'll have so only ready to be a reserve right now, not that there are any free spots full time anyway. :P)

Where's that meme? @Pluxtheduck

Sure, next couple weeks are pretty full anyhow, then entries taper off with WEC taking a couple out equation.

Really any car for ya is available.

JUST ONE MORE NOTE ON THIS SUBJECT.

For future reference DON'T just pick cars, say "they will do" and have @snowgt sort the BoP out. Look at tyre wear, fuel consumption ect. Only then will you strike a balance. And NO bloody race cars!!

I have a mandatory pit stop in place. Cars are tested. The GTO has worked. I also send Snow an initial spec for each car. If I didn't watch fuel and tyre wear, then why haven't I put the Alfa TZ2 in yet hmm? Stop complaining about something that isn't broken.

Yeah, I don't know what happened to him though. I don't recall him quitting. Also Smuffy is in a Merc as well.

Timing for him.

@LancerEvo7 You are only person who says that. In an ideal world I'd love a 3 class GT-P/GT-O/GT championship however myself.

So Bathurst is fun in the GT-Ps, but man that outside wall at turn 6 really creeps up on you. Trying to judge where to go over the crest for the best entry into 7 is a nightmare. :nervous:

GTB is getting a shake down tomorrow around the Daytona beach circuit after the mechanics have worked hard to rebuild the chassis after the Matterhorn crash. The car never felt the same again during the race, despite me going faster than I did in Quali
