Just like old times.
Crosses the line in the lead with 18 seconds left on the clock. Finishes second. Also coming down the hill with all four wheels of the ground in the braking zone:

Generally struggled all night as had no pace as best was 1:02.7 and have no idea how people are going over a second quicker couple that with a magnetized attraction to the barriers meant that I finished 6 laps down. Was doing well at the start as was running 2nd due to others misfortunes.

Disastrous tonight.

Was doing alright after a cautious start, then one of the Gt-Ps lag spiked straight into the back of me, giving full damage. Later, the downshifter on my dfgt broke, so I was pressing the downshift paddle; nothing happened . Then all of a sudden car instantly went down from 5th to 1st causing me to spin out (sorry O'rama I think you got tagged?). From then onwards I couldn't maintain concentration and was lucky not to finish stone dead last tbh. Definitely lost the championship lead, can't see the next track being much better either.:nervous:

You lead over O'Rama by 1.

Eiger is gonna most demanding race on the calendar.

I honestly believe Eiger be a somewhat cleaner race since most of the corners are slower compared to Matterhorn. With the speed difference between the Prototypes and GT in the high speed corners caused some wrecks today.

Gifted 4th again. Sorry to Rob for the rear tag. You braked much earlier than I expected.

Corvette is still carrying a problem that seems difficult to dial out. It did however help me this evening until the tires got to 8 on the rear then all hell broke loose as did the rear.

Dammit Jon

My race started well and I could hold station in 3rd. Snow and me were about even over a lap but Lancer and Waffle were far quicker and pulled out a gap. Then I ran wide through T1 and dropped to 4th only to hear that Waffle and Lancer had been caught up in an incident and I was up to 2nd. Snow then pulled out a gap and I got trapped in some lapped traffic. Fox ran into the back of me on the lap I planned to pit on anyway so it didn't affect my race. However, I clipped the pit entry, got a drive through and had to do a lap with engine damage. After my stop I was 5th and gaining on Carbonox. I then seemed to catch him very quickly and pass him shortly before he DC'd. I was then certain I would finish 4th but Waffle DC'd from the lead. I was then 3rd but a long way back from Lancer and Snow. Until they both hit issues again and pitted. Suddenly I was in the lead with 25 minutes left in the race! However, with 10 to go Furi lost it in front of me which distracted me enough to miss my apex in T2, clip the grass and hit the inside wall hard. I had to pit and dropped behind Snow with Lancer catching rapidly. Snow then had issues and I was back in the lead. Lancer caught me with 2 laps left, he past me but I could get the switch back. Then later that lap I missed an apex and he was alongside. I tried to outbrake him but it was too much and I went deep. 2nd again!

So, considering I was in front of O'Rama and everything, I actually had a chance to win the thing.

🤬 this game

I can't say that I enjoyed this race even though I won it.

I think this track is no good for this kind of multiclass races, because:
  1. track is narrow
  2. No safe zones - if you go off the track, there is grass right behind the whiteline and then hard fence to get damaged
  3. Pit exit is very dangerous
  4. If someone spin (or crashed) front of you at bad place, you might have to stop and wait to get clear way to go past (happen to me twice)
I was little nervous (to say at least) to go this race because I remembered what can happen in these Matterhorn tracks in past WSC races.
I was really carefull lapping GT-O's and didn't take any risk. Hopefully I didn't give anyone any hard times. Still there was couple close calls...even got pushed off the track by GT-O.

Next race in Eigar isn't going to be any easier, but see you all there and hopefully we'll have good race.

Saw that. He was lagging badly to me too.

Just can't win anymore, even if it's handed to me on a silver platter. Got away slowly and settled in 4th for a while going behind @raceorama123432 . I was determined not to risk too much after crashing three times in qualifying, so I thought I'd let @Roflwaffle and @LancerEvo7 go and hope they were risking too much. Got by O'rama as he ran wide and then suddenly both Waffle and Lancer had an incident and I found myself in the lead. After 40 minutes or so, the light somehow changed from one lap to the next and somehow that made me miss my braking point for the downhill right-hander just before the pits, so I just went in for repairs.

I held it together over the next 55 minutes then and managed to take back the lead, and already thought about going the whole distance when I got my right rear on the grass in the left-kink (turn 2) and smashed into the inside wall. After another GT-P crashed into me, the car was only able to creep up the incline at 20km/h on auto-pilot. I lost eons of time there and fell back again behind Waffle, Lancer and O'rama. With 25 minutes to go, I was hoping for other people's troubles and I soon found myself back in the lead after Waffle dc'd, until I got passed by a Jaguar in the uphill hairpin, then @jammy21 came up behind me and, because he bumped into me once before at the same spot when I didn't lift, I did lift this time to let him pass, but he didn't go through this time, so I was sort of going around the downhill left-kink on the outside, so as not to smash the door on him, and, of course, went wide and couldn't brake early enough, so I crashed again to lose the race with 8 minutes left.

The weird thing was, that although I had contact with at least 4 of the 5 GT-P's, none gave me damage.

I agree with Jammy, by the way. This track is not particularly suited for 2-class racing. I found that my favoured racing line in all three braking zones is not straight because of the bumps in the road, so when a GT-P is coming up behind you, you suddenly have to adapt your usual line, and brake in a different spot - it's very uncomfortable.

I think that is a very bold statement. It would be great to have an updated standings table with all corrections done. I'm getting the feeling that once you will do an updated one, nobody will find all the errors in it anymore.

From my own records the standings are:
O'rama 117
Siggers 113
Snow 107
Smuffy 84

I've got the rough done. Just need to double check couple things and it'll be up.

I prefer this one

Sorry for that. I saw you were leading so I decided to wait better place to pass you - not in that corner (left to go downhill).

It's ok. It was my own fault really, being too timid and already tired from a long race. These situations just sort of happen on tracks like these.

I'm considering saving up for a GT-P and doing a few races in that seeing as I'm nowhere in the GT-O championship so there's nothing to lose.
