My daughter gets caught up in the T-shirt hype each year, for some reason...if it involves a "walk" we do it, but the rest (mail-order begging) is just nuisance territory.

Just cut them a check and move on. You save yourself and them a lot of effort. If we could just get parents to donate to help out in areas that aren't academic focused (last year we put in a new playground with safer equipment than we had) we would be happy. Instead, I'm spending half my free time trying to organize fundraisers.


As for walk/runs, even if fundraising wasn't necessary I would like to see those. It encourages healthy activity and getting the whole family involved. My family signs up for multiple charity walks a year just so we have a family activity that gets us out and gets us moving. I have three coming up next month and did four already this year.

I'm also saving all the shirts until I get my heart transplant or am unable to continue.

It was advertised by an estate agent for students so I guess not.

I guess that is one way to guarantee a private bath. I'd choose that over the communal showers I had in my dorm.
