Funny/Strange News Stories

I suppose the Daily Mail is run like the "Hitchhiker's Guide"? Anyone off the street can simply walk in and write? Even a Trekkie?

BBC News 24 presenter Simon McCoy accidentally picks up a packet of A4 paper instead of his iPad on live TV, but carries on...

Either that or budget cuts at the BBC are kicking in...

This is classic... the day after Nigel Farage was forced to deny singing Hitler Youth songs at school, a big screen at the BBC's Media City in Salford experienced some technical difficulties, resulting in some rather unfortunate pixel drop-outs during an BBC Breakfast interview with Farage, where he was
talking about Enoch Powell and immigration...

I just like how people are blaming the BBC for it, like they have to power to control what 1 tv does.:odd:

A Hitler moustache appears when he's talking about Enoch Powell. Why am I not surprised?

What a tit.

Fair question though. The brochure must have nearly 150 peoples faces on the cover and not one is of darker ethnic origin.

It said that the zebra onesies were making the real animals run away with fear. Perhaps rather than banning the things they could just send offenders toward the lion enclosure. Then we'll see whose baffled.

Do lions in a safari park know what a zebra is?

Do lions in a safari park also chase Newcastle United, St Mirren or Juventus supporters?

Pranksters take liberties with Edmonton welcome signs

The city of Edmonton was toying with the idea of new branding, but this might not be what they had in mind.

Professional-looking lettering and colouring matching the existing signs offered various slogans for motorists to read, including ‘City of Speed Traps, ‘Road Construction City’ and ‘Suck it Calgary’.

And while passing drivers may have chuckled at the references, the City isn’t laughing—calling the work vandalism and a matter under investigation.

Yup it is vandalism because it is negative and effects their revenue, but if it was positive it wouldn't be?

Double standards.

Well, yeah. When someone steals money it's a bad thing, but when they give you money it's generally good.

They're just trying to deflect attention from the whole Miliband's father thing :sly:

I found this unintentionally hilarious: An African dictator's daughter reveals exclusive photos from her years of exile in North Korea... nothing funny about the story, but the Independent have helpfully captioned the pictures to help you identify her in each picture, which considering she is the only African surrounded by Koreans in every shot, seems rather pointless...
