Funny things RICErs say (radically immature car enthusiasts)

I heard the guy say that he put an LS motor in the CR-X.

Should be running faster than a mid 14 with a lightweight FR of that power.

I really hope the camera guy was trolling, because I swear he just said that his friend's 275hp Mustang could beat the CRX. For crying out loud, the SN95 Mustang GTs are not that fast.

If I'm right in saying that the mustang in question was a late 90's GT, then a V6 Ford Taurus of the time was as quick if not quicker than the mustangs.:)

LS as in Integra LS as in a non-VTEC B-series. When he said "LS trans" I first went "Huh?" then realized that's what he meant.

Ohhhh.

I was thinking something like this.

Was talking with my Chem. Proff. today while the rest of the class finished the homework they were supposed to be doing. We were talking about cars, then GT5. I decided to show him my Hennessy Venom GT Spyder Replica. We talked about the car, and how it was based on the Lotus Elise.

“Lotus is French, no?"

“Um, no, it's English."

“Really?! English....? Well.... that's worse."

*gets up picks up bag and laptop and leaves class*

My Physics teacher actually owns a Lotus Elise with an aftermarket supercharger fitted (could be a Turbo, it was a while since she told me about it). It has a ruined roof and seats because her and her husband stuck a roof rack on top of it with two Canoes! Her old car was a Honda S2000 which she pretty much killed by 'taking it for a drive'. Plumes of black and blue smoke on any car is bad, but on a Honda?
TBF they are both very nerdy people, but they are both ricers. They have three cars between them, the Lotus, a Land Rover Discovery and an old beat up Ford Mondeo, all of which are plastered in Type R stickers and badges!

*sigh* I have no words to express my disappointment in humanity.

So, I was discussing the sorts of cars I'd look at buying after college (Impreza WRX 4WD or Lancer Ralliart 4WD) and my dad kept talking about how he doesn't like the soft suspension/body roll in the Subaru we currently have. He drives a Hyundai.

Of course, he's recently given *me* the chance to tell him what would make his Hyundai corner better... ;) I told him to get a rear sway-bar (anti-roll bar is another term.) So, of course, he orders a front and rear sway bar set... :banghead: why?! Why can't you just listen to instructions?!

Is it just me, or do RICErs always skip the instructions?

Here's a vid where the true RICEr is the camera man....

Watch the related video. Pink puss slays mustang. Man was telling the truth

Hmmmm, I hate hearing about how terrible body roll is.

Ricers in my area tend to think that a lowered, stiffened car will always be faster. I then volunteer some time to help them understand how rallying works. Then they go off and rant about how all of the roads around here are paved.

Uh, no, this is not California. "Paved" doesn't mean "smoother than glass."

tell me what you think of this video.

Freaking hilarious, especially the primer Prelude, the Celica cutting people off, that Camaro with the stickers and the Mustang with those hideous wheels.

The ones who make videos claiming Hondas or some other small displacement 4 banger, are slower than something with a giant v8. Well Duh it's more than twice the displacement of the honda, we don't need a video to show us which one is faster in a straight line. Are they so afraid of losing, they go around looking for cars with tiny engines to "race"? These guys are true Radically Immature Car Enthusiasts.

You couldn't have hit the nail more on the head. Thank God I'm not the only one who realizes this!

This!

There are many cars that I would have with 4 pots over a V8. It's not all about power; especially on a public road.

With speed limits; 1000 hp is as irrelevant as slick tyres. Colin Chapman said it best "Straight lines are for fast cars; corners are for fast drivers"

Thank god for the first gen Elan!

I once got a heckling from the driver of a 1.8 diesel Jetta about owning an Impreza "that's not the STi."

Even so, my Impreza would've made minced meat out of his diesel Jetta. (this was the generation before the TDI came out)

On the subject of STI's, my cousin and I were talking about them a couple of weeks ago...

My cousin: I never liked Impreza's....

Me: Well, everyman is entitled to his opinion. Personally, I never liked the new ones.... they ruined the look of the classical Impreza.

My cousin: Ah they're all the same...

Me: No they're not! You've got the regular versions and you've the STI's.... which is what I'm into.

My cousin: STI, huh? And what does that stand for.....? Sexually-Transmitted-Infection? *laughs like an orangutan *

Me: No you nit-wit! It stands for Subaru Tecnica International. And WRX stands for World Rally Cross Country. Why the hell do I hang out with you?!?

My cousin: Cuz I have a '71 Goat, and you sold yours!

Me: Yeah yeah.... wait 'til I get my BMW [S1000RR-HP4], then I'll smoke your little barnyard pest.

"I have an STI!"
"You might wanna talk to a doctor about that."

Has anyone else found the ultimate cars of choice for "ricers' are GTs-T Skylines, Supra's and Lancer non evo's?

I've seen a Ford Mustang GT with a svt badge recently and a non-AMG mercedes with an AMG badge.

Also, having a friend that calls a Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R a P.O.S. and defends ricers. Don't know why, but he does.

... Does the SVT Cobra R have a solid rear diff, like the Mustang GT?

If so, it's because it is a POS. If not, and it actually has a lim. Slip. Diff, it's only because the guy can't handle the FR.
