Funny things RICErs say (radically immature car enthusiasts)

it is possible to have a live axle LSD and not independent rear suspension, corvette still do, well C6 and ZR1 do I know,

... Does the SVT Cobra R have a solid rear diff, like the Mustang GT?

If so, it's because it is a POS. If not, and it actually has a lim. Slip. Diff, it's only because the guy can't handle the FR.

I'm not good on mechanical parts as I'm still learning, so I really don't know. I'm aware that it has a different engine and Independent Rear Suspension compared to the normal Cobra and GT, but that's it (at least that's what it says on every car review I've read about it). Also, he never drove the car, he just randomly called the car a POS to annoy me.

That's not a ricer thing then, that's a friend thing then.

You think I don't tell my Lamborghini-fan-friends that Lamborghinis suck and don't win races because they don't win races? Look at the Gallardo GT3.

Ugh, I guess so. Well it's apparently working if it's peeving me this much.

 It is working.

I hate Pagani's interest in motorsports. "We've got a nice car" is opinion. Why isn't it being proven on the track?

I can go on about things that will not sit well with fans of over-priced supercars.

And yet it'll still have nothing to do with the thread topic.

Surely there's other threads to hunt the ever-increasing post-count... 💡

This isn't a chat-thread, folks.

Right, sorry about that Slip.

Um, what can I do?

Well, I found this video. Warning, strong language.

I've always loved the Cobra R.. It's so sexy!

GTP has it's very own RICER back!

The thing is, in a muscle car, quality is measured by how fast it goes and how well it holds together while going fast, not by how soft the interior is. And for a V6 muscle car, the new Camaro does a pretty decent job at those things.

Where fine interior materals really start to matter is around the $50K level, and I'll admit the Corvette C6 was pretty subpar in that way. I think some of the plastics were worse than the ones they used for my Sunbird. But at lower cost levels, I'd rather have $30K worth of speed than $30K worth of refinement.

Did I read that right...?

What he's saying is he'd have a fully steel seat with spikes in if it meant a 0.2kg weight saving?*

It's not one of my favorite Mustangs, but I think it's a complete badass of a Muscle Car. It has to be one of the best mustangs Ford has ever made. Also, I was wrong about one thing; The normal SVT cobra in general also had IRS, not just the cobra R and terminator cobra; the one's made between 1999 and 2004 to be exact.

Here's another video. Warning, strong language ahead.

I've seen regular Cobras, Terminators and R's in person, and they are monsters at the drag strip. Just insane. I definitely would place it high on modern cars that I like and wouldn't mind owning, that is for sure.

"Ha! Ha! Grocery getter!"

Guy pulls up next to me in a black-on-black FJ Cruiser (I hate those things)

Gets out of his car with the “I'M SO FLY" swagger walk, locks it and leaves ALL of the lights on.

Looks over to me in my Ford Windstar, makes a face as if to say, “Psh."

Yeah, clearly, I'm the loser in my original design Ford Van; YOU sir, are the Almighty Omega and all-supreme being in a Hummer RIP-OFF...

*for those of you who are going to talk about automatic dimmers and electrical systems that turn off the light for you, this FJ didn't have it. Normally, on a car with this type of system, the lights turn off after 5 minutes, his lights were on for more that half an hour, and they're probably still on if he hasn't gone into his car.*

Oh man, keep it up guys!👍

And @THRT: Your cousin need to see some monstrous STis out there that can eat anything alive. And I'm between a WRX STi and a Evo for my daily and track car, when I get the funds.

And I've seen SVT Cobras and a Terminator before, but never a Cobra R though. My niece has seen one, but I haven't. I have a 1:18 scale of a R and I love it to death. Had him since 2003.

Yeah. I showed him the video of the Born to Race Subaru with 1100 HP.

He just snorted at it and went “Fake!"

“The engine is showed at the end of the video for 2 minutes! Did you not hear the fuel pump on that thing?!?!?! It was LOOOOUUUUUD!!!!"

“Nah! Faulty drive belt..."

*face palm*

So on that Ask.fm thing a girl from my old school got asked (not by me) "If you could have any car you wanted, what kind of car would you get?"

Her answer?
"Beaugatti vayron"

My head hit the desk.

Death wish?

People think its the best car in the world just because its the fastest production car. Doesn't mean it's the fastest around corners or has reasonable prices for repairs.

No, it's not a death wish. The Bugatti is 4WD, and full of plenty of technological features that make it - even according to Top Gear - relatively simple to drive.

But, when the gas bill comes...

*justtakemymoney.jpg*

Because the question states "if you could have any car." No, you don't get free gas. Yes, you're putting a bunch of four-times-compressed fuel into 16 cylinders every RPM revolution.

This. The Veyron is a impressive car, but it's not the greatest. Even TopGear said it and did a test with a R500 SL Caterham on TGTT.

Even if I had the Veyron money (including tires, fuel and everything else) I would get a GTR, R8 V10, Supra TT, Viper ACR, SRT Viper, Vette ZR1 C6, C7 Z07 Vette, RS4 Sedan/Avant, 911 GT3 RS 4.0, 911 GT2 RS, Subaru STi, Mitsubishi Evo, Ram SRT-10, Raptor SVT, GT500, ZL1 Camaro, M3 E92, C63, M5 E60, E63, F-Type, GT86, Range Rover, S2000, NSX NA2, R34 GTR, Viper GTS, Ford GT, 430 Scud and a LP-670 SV. And I'm still happy IMO.
