Funny things RICErs say (radically immature car enthusiasts)

By that logic, my 3.3L should make it look like a race between a Veyron and a Power wheels.

My 4.9L Lincoln SR-71 Town Blackbird:

So I'm in this fight right now. Apparently a 1.8L Integra will "dust" a Pontiac GTP.

Hmm. This argument has gotten nasty.

It's settling now though. Everyones friends again. But for a while it was threats and physical violence.

Stock LS3's or any N/A GM V8 in my opinion is quite a bit of a slouch. It is very easy to crank it up some. But in the case of this thread,

V-Tec Just Kicked In Yo!

I know for a fact that The Kia is faster than my brother's car (2001 Pontiac Grand Am POS edition).

I looked at performance tests, the data suggests I would beat him in a drag race.

Quite surprising. I just looked up our cars on Automobile-catalog and if my rust box Sunbird were to meet your Kia, you'd... fail misarbly to win. Somehow despite similar output and my car (or rather the Cav Z24 that has to stand in for it due to them not having many Pontiacs catalogged yet) having a highly inexplicable 0.39 cd to your 0.32, your Kia, even if it were a manual, would not be able to touch my Pontiac until the very top end. Granted, my car might not be as fast as this since I don't have the spoiler on mine, so my cd is probably even worse than the 0.39 quoted for the Z24 (just don't get it...), but The Kia is still helpless. especially since yours is automatic.

That sounds like case of horses for courses... if it's an Integra Type-R they're pretty twisty... though I'm pretty sure the GTP would out in a straight line despite its weight.

This is solvable as well, though may have to involve substitute cars. If the GTP can't be found I may have to use an Impala Indy Edition or Monte Carlo supercharged variant. Stand by.

I'm annoyed by how fast the stupid little Honduhs go and suprised by how slow the S/C Impala is.

The Honda's about 300kg lighter (1200ish compared to 1500ish I believe), pulls 210-ish bhp. The SC V6 is about 330bhp but sits high with a big aero cross-section... and those Integras are surprising little cars. A friend has a DC2, surprisingly quick for its age.

That said, if it's down to which one LOOKS like it'll win... it's the GM :)

I also thought the Pontiac was 240hp at about 3400lbs~, a quick search also shows that as well.

The Type-R at 195 hp at 2600lbs~, would be faster. I had a 2006 civic SI at 200 hp at 3000~ lbs with me in it (I was like 130lbs at the time haha) and the Civic was faster, and that was with more weight than the Type-R. Although, my car was brand new.

The GSR However, would probably fall short. Either that, or probably be pretty even.

Stock for stock (GTP vs Type R) should come down to the driver. 0-60 as well as 1/4 mile times for both are very close.

True, just looked it up. I figured otherwise for the weight, and from the few I've seen.

I love how you care so much about your grocery getter quarter mile time.

Especially since most peoples cars here would totally destroy it.
My dirtbike would even be quicker.

Bikes are faster than most things, BMW HP4 smoked a 600hp 4wd rally car. In the rain

True, GTP's (and other L67 powered cars) are not exactly lightweights, but the overabundance of torque and low end power from the engine do help with that.

That's what we were saying! But they guy was continuing to argue making him look like a moron.

Which is why I used a dirtbike for comparison rather than a 200hp superbike.
If you come down next week you'll see this race take place. We planned it for next Wednesday.

is this the wrong thread to say "my beat-up Acura 3.2 TL can whoop the behind of anyone on a Harley-Davidson Sportster"?

because if it is, I apologize in advance...
