Understood, but I guess I should have worded my question differently, so. Let's use your Lancer as an example. It comes with a factory wing, which you can adjust downforce with, correct? (which has a maximum amount of downforce). Now, since you added that aftermarket wing, does it change how much maximum rear downforce is available on that Lancer now? (ie. does it have more downforce than the stock wing?).
Thanks :)

For my evo8, the stock wing does not allow any adjustment (disabled) to the down force. The down force settings have only opened up after adding the wing.

1. I am not really a GT (nor car) freak, please tell me what do you mean by 'race modification'.
2. Never aware of such an option.
3. Haven't opened up Endurance yet.
4. Not aware of paint shop.

Sorry, i presumed everyone on these boards was a huge GranTurismo fan - you must be a kind samaritan ;) - 'race modification' was a popular option in GT and GT2 where when you visited the ‘tuning’ section under the ‘others’ sub-section (as apposed to engine, suspention or tyre upgrades) where you have the 3 levels of ‘weight reduction’ you also had a option where your cars chassis was upgraded to full race spec and was given a full racing colour sceam. This ment that you could take an average road car and not only give it a similar amount of power to a full race car but give it a chassis to match as well.

Weight reduction was also in Others section of the tuning shop in GT4.

Do you have paypal, maskrider? ;)

In the replay theater screen, there's multi-select and playlist functions. Are you able to set up several replays at once to play through uninterrupted?

I think it's a bit stupid that you can't adjust downforce on some cars that have angle adjustable spoilers on them stock, like the R34 GT-R for example, without putting a silly, great GT Wing on them.

Apart from that, the new Race select menus look a lot nicer and smoother compared with GT3.

Actually, you could still be able to adjust the downforce in such cases. I remember in GT3, the Zondas and R34s had adjustable downforce.

This screen shows the stage 1-3 for weight reduction

It also shows what you have translated as 'Re-inforced body (stiffness)'

as well as 'body strength refresh plan'

what do these two options do to your car?

- do they alter its looks in anyway?

They don't alter the look of car, from the scrolling text, it seems that improving stiffness will increase the stability of the car, from the reference guide, it is a thing of the Advanced Suspension settings, Roll Cage and Foam Urethane were mentioned in the text. It said Road holding will be improved.

Another question for you maskrider, regarding nitrous. After you run out from using it during a race, do you then have to purchase it again, or does it replenish itself? If so, what is the duration that it is replenished? Does the game replenish your nitrous supply for the next race, a certain period of time (in endurances) such as 1 hour or whatever? Just wondering if it's something you have to purchase again once you run out of it in a race :)

I think someone else will be able to answer the Nitro question, and indeed there is a thread concerning Nitro (with NOS in the title). I have never used any Nitro during race.

I too would like to donate via PayPal. Maskrider, you have made a lot of people very happy with this...I would like to make a small contribution for your effort and maybe others will too.

let me know what your paypal email is.

Thanks a lot!!

I'm getting stock ona lot of event halls since i can't tell what are the requirements for each race. There are way too many events though so if you can't translate it i'll understand. ;)

Thanks again for all this work. You should be paid for this.

Added a screen on re-entering race event which you won already

Entering an event race which you have won already will a pop-up a question
Clear old records or not ?
So does this mean if you win a championship, get a car, sell it, and then decide you want it back, you can just clear your results from that event, run it again, and win the prize car back?

Maskrider, thanks again for all your efforts.

I read in this screen : http://z-o-g.org/imgs/gt4/tr/sound-settings.jpg that it is possible to adjust race and replay sound effects.

I'm afraid that this adjusts the engine and tyre sounds at the same time as the crowd noise. I.e. it is impossible to mute the crowd noise alone.

Can you (or someone of this board) confirm that?

Also : are there any tracks left without crowd noise?

Thanks

I think so (but some cars cannot be sold), but I hadn't tried it. Now trying to get 25% completed soon to open up Endurance.

Don't know, sorry. Have never touched those options.

Couple of questions if you could help that would be great!

1 - How do you sell cars? I just won a car in Sunday Cup and would like to sell it

2 - There is a little orange box flashing by "Tuner Car" with 3 black dots in it. If I highlight the Tuner Car icon, an orange box opens up with some Japanese text in. What does it say?

3 - After completing Sunday Cup for the first time (I have no licenses currently), I exited back to the main map. I got a little popup window come up with a message, and only a OK to press an option. What was it telling me? I need to do license tests now, perhaps?

Thanks very much.

Orange boxes are usually telling you that something is available (e.g. tuner parts from some of the Tuners opened up or you can now join some event races in the halls).

Pop-up box that only has an OK in the main resort map usually tells you that a new course is available, there are many of them and I hadn't captured them. And BTW, I already has all the courses unlocked.
