Thanks, 8400. Are those shots up to date? Those shots are from a while ago I think; is the interface still essentially the same?

P.S. Any chance of getting a pdf of the translated manual? hehehe ;)

P.P.S. I have all the translations so far on my computer in iPhoto, I can make a PDF or zip for someone if they'd like. I was going to wait until they were more complete to do that, but if someone wants a set early I can manage that.

Wait I was looking at the picture of the Ford Lightning, and it says 4wd??? Is it really 4wd in the game, because I'm pretty sure its rwd.

Maskrider do you think we will be able to get tunner wheels from the wheel of the day option. Like some spoon wheels, or some mugen wheels. Let me know thanks.

I don't know, haven't checked. May be later or may be someone else can answer your question.

I would like to request B-Spec interface translations, if I could.

Also, I notice in the "Session results" screen, there isn't a save series option...Please don't tell me that feature isn't there anymore.

And what is the "family cup"?

And the sooner you (or anyone) can get race requirements and mission race objectives translated, the better.

Thank you!

I have bever played B-spec, that's why no screens about it. :)

Family cup is just a quick race on the course, bonus is 50,000 credits, you can adjust the level of the enemies.

Race requirements will be much later, the ones in Mission Hill are mostly get the first position in the races.

Thanks Maskrider, but what of the pop-up in the change parts/settings menu?

Added.

so maskrider...........so since they have a fuel refill .....do you just basically lose when u run out of gas? Or is it like GT3 and u just race till you change your tires?

In the "24h Nurburgring report" thread the person who raced the 24h (in B-Spec) told us he ran out of gas in the last lap, but could still drive on at 80km/h to the pits or the finish.

i didn't see racing modification in the Others scetions in the Tuning Shop. PD LIED TO US, BECAUSE THEY SAID IT WOULD BE BACK. BUT IT ISN'T...

Used cars updated, added some new ones. And the new Splinter Trueno GT-APEX Shuichi Shigeno Version '00 (as in Initial D, I am a fan of the Initial D anime and comic) has surprised me.

maskrider, do you know what steering display does in the options menu? The kanji come up too small on this TV and I can't figure it out.

Thanks

Great info.

One of the screens asks for confirmation to use space and gives a figure of 1498kb - Is this a set figure or does GT4 require that as a minimum but is likely to need more?

Think I'd better get a new memory card...

Which steering display in options ? All translated screens should be there already.

That's the minimum, you will want to save some replays and they take a few tenths of kilobytes each.

Hi all first post on here as just found the site.

If anyone has a Maxdrive device then just to let u know Ive posted 2 GT4 save files up (4th from bottom I think in unknown section) on codejunkies. One is basic GT4 save with all liscences completed, the other is a merged file with my prologue and GT3 so u get the 11million credits (Japanese version not Asian). If u have trouble finding it send me a pm with your details and I will send it to you :)

Ive got a couple of questions if anyone can help. The course registry, does this open extra courses for arcade/2 player battle only and when there in yellow and what does the 2 player symbols mean.

Also Ive heard somewhere that u can change speedometer to MPH (Im in UK) from KPH, is this true and if so whereabouts is it as Ive looked and cannot seem to find it anywhere?

Just like to say a big thankyou to Maskrider for all the info.

Hey, great job with info and screenshots on the Asian GT4 Maskrider! :) Nicely done :) You keep us all drouling and envious!

And if you ever get the time or chance to, post some more screenshots of the 71' Dodge Charger Super Bee and the 70' Charger 440, and any of the other muscle cars. 👍

To anyone that has GT4 and the Logitech Driving Force Pro, how well did they do the 900 deg. rotation? I got the DFP as soon as it came out primarly because I wanted the 900 deg. rotation for GT4, and I was just wondering how well it relates to real-life driving.

maskrider
In course registry, there is a list of courses and their max no. of cars, and the 2 players capability.

Course Registry in Option

In the screen, you enable them to be listed in 2P modes I think, haven't tried it yet.

Have you found out if that is what that option means?

Eh, it doesn't matter but I selected all the tracks and I had no idea what it entailed.

Great job mate, your a godsend as this version has to be the most complicated version yet.

And here I was trying to drive a TVR Tuscan on economy tyres! :dunce:

I'd like to know how it does in 180 mode, because I know 900 is fine. 180 mode was iffy in the demos, and they said it would automatically switch for some cars...

That would be cool.
zip or pdf?

No idea about that yet as I am currently trying very hard to get all gold in the license tests. Getting use to the GT Force Pro has improve my time a lot, ha ha ! Very happy.

edit: simply cannot stop playing with the GT Force Pro, never feel that way with the DS2.

The turning angle is proportional to their real counterparts, i.e. different car may require a different turning angle to make the same angle of movement at the wheel. The 900 degree is just the max.

hmmmm, I'll just have to try it myself then.

P.S. Bloody hell, looks like it will still take roughly four minutes to install a part :yuck: Why can't they just have one confirmation screen and be done?

Sorry if this has been answered before because I've been mainly concentrating on the other HUGE thread but:

Weight Balance Detail Tune. Is this adding a weight to the corner of the car to make a better balanced car? So it actually adds weight?

And have we confirmed engine expiration?

Thanks.

Weight balance tune is by adding a ballast weight (your choice of the weight) at a position (your choice from front to rear) on the car, it adds weight for sure. Haven't tried it yet.

And for engine expiration, I read about that in another thread but I haven't experienced it yet.

When you do get a chance to try it out, do you get a ration of front weight:back weight to play around with. Ie placing a 10kg at the front will bring 45:55 etc etc.

Thanks maskrider, love your work 👍
