I would never use it but i dont see why so many people are against it...

Im pretty positive it wont make it in there, its always been deemed an ARCADEy feature

No thank you!

NO, por favor

Anyone care for rewinds in GT5 gameplay??

HELL NO!!!

I guess it's pretty obvious that I don't need to say anything, other than it would be great if the feature was on the replays, so you can watch your favorite part of the race again and again.

Other than that...

HELL NO!!!

Added "NO rewind in GT!" group, join if you don't like it to !

Here!

:boggled:

Okay, that's a little creepy...

No, because I'll use it if it's there... I like the casual Sim style of GT, but a rewind button is just cheating.

Hmm, this poll has about thesame balance percentages as my "will you buy GT5?" poll does. Link

Coincidence? Can we conclude from this that for like 10% of the people on here won't buy GT5 unless it has the rewind feature? Or are they just Forza fans, here because they're bored with talking about forza?

Replay Rewind? Hell yes!

Gameplay Rewind.... no thank you (rather the button free for something else).

If it is included in the game I will just ignore it.

Loving this feature in FM3, I was quite sceptical at first, thinking I'd just ignore it, but actually it's a good feature that I'm sure many people would use if it where present in GT5.

I think all this poll indicates is that many people who have not experienced it in a game like FM3 are basing it on their own (and most probably incorrect) hypothetical analysis of the feature.

Useless thread really.. and it's a shame people are so unwilling to try new features that may actually turn out to be welcome, because this is how games get stagnant..

It was in Grid long time ago and didn't do good this game ...

It was in GRID, but it was a useless feature for anyone being 'serious' about their racing..

However, even though noobs can use it in a GRID style manner, in FM3 it also has additional uses for people who are more serious, and want to learn the track/car ad infinitum, the fact that it invalidates any time you achieve using it means it's only a learning aid, not a mechanism to cheat..

Having used it, I think it's a welcome feature even for a diehard hot-lapper..

There is a difference between FM3 and GT5. FM is a arcade racer series. GT5 is the real driving simulator.:)

Burnout is a arcade racer. GTR is a simulation.
Both Forza and GT lie somewhere in between.
And as they are all just video games, they are far away from being "real"

+1..

And I like the mix of Arcade to Simulation.. it's far more fun then a more pure simulator, and not as daft as a pure arcade game.

Personally I don't think a Gameplay Rewind feature belongs in any game, so obviously I don't want it in GT5.

No thanks. GT is a racing sim, not an arcade racer.

I think Forza 3 have included it, in an effort to help pull in more casual racers. This for me smacks of desperation by Turn 10. They are so eager to try and keep up with GT they are blurring the lines between racing sim and arcade racer. Before they know it you'll be scoring "boost" point and catching massive air in your pimped up rides ;)

I cant find one good reason why PD should not include rewind. Those who dont like it can just ignore it. I whould not use it myself, but that does not mean others cant enjoy it 👍

I can give you a couple. People could try to take short-cuts to see if they work, if they don't they can rewind and race properly, they could also practice taking cars out and getting away with it. While I know they could do this anyway, a rewind function just makes it a little easier. Also it's not realistic, sure it might be fun, but so could the ability to make the cars fly or some other stupid cheat. The time spent adding a function like this would be better spent on something else.

But isnt it their own choice if they want to cut track, drive dirty or rewind in single player? I want a realistic experience too, but if PD implement rewind in single player, that wont affect me cause I wont use it, I dont care how other players drive in single player.

I kinda agree with you, but GT is all about realism. Rewind isn't that, so it doesn't belong in the game IMO.
